December 14th, 2024.
Shepard, just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
Now, you're probably thinking to yourself,
why are you just giving us random dates?
Well, ladies and gentlemen,
I have a very interesting reason for that,
as when it comes to December 14th,
2024, a gentleman that goes by the name of analytic dreams,
and, you know, as far as his platform, notorious mass effect,
you should definitely rate this five stars
and share this to somebody who,
who likes gaming and music content, but especially someone who could predict the future.
Because guess what? December 14, 2020, 24, this man had this to say.
Go to TikTok if you want to follow me, analytic dreams with the Z.
But let's just hear what this gentleman had to say all the way back on December 14th,
2024.
If PlayStation keeps having game of the year, year after year after year after year,
and it's exclusively on PlayStation,
we'll have to have a real conversation
on how to help our Xbox.
Because a real conversation,
interesting.
Let's keep going.
Even though I own the PlayStation,
I do acknowledge that if PlayStation
keeps tipping the scale,
because right now they're winning by a landslide.
And then look at the comments.
So I'm going to take myself away for a second
because this is very poignant as far as what I'm about to get into.
It's a very sad day.
I'm not celebrating this.
I'm just showcasing that.
I kind of be on the nose.
about what I'll be talking about.
Anyways, let me let my past self keep talking.
For every one Xbox sold, this is for PS5 sold, right?
So if the scales keep tipping in PlayStation's favor,
what's stopping them from having competitive prices like an Xbox?
Why not mark their prices up?
Xbox is getting whoops so bad right now,
as far as just popular games that also is high quality,
that at some point find a game
that can be your next halo
and run with it.
Xbox cannot afford to lose out on another
console war.
If PlayStation spoken
like a true prophet
because ladies and gentlemen,
Shepherd, just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
Well, if you was wondering, let me bring myself back,
if you was wondering, what's going on,
I'm glad that you asked,
because the reason why I played that prophet
who basically told you,
all the Xbox is losing so bad in the console rates that things could get spooky well now we have
what I was officially talking about how as when it comes to supermarkets not only has Costco
officially confirmed the ending to the Xbox sales citing expire contracts and low turnover
which is fewer excuse for faster stock movement it was also providing evidence for Walmart
for Target to do the exact same thing. Now, of course, a lot of people reporting this specific
story saying, oh, take it with a grain of salt. Take it with a grain of salt. But ladies and gentlemen,
as far as this ginormous advancement in the gaming news, uh, in the gaming news, right? As far as
news and it being headlining, this is one of the best we've ever seen because everybody is
talking about it. So you would think the Xbox and Target would come to clean,
it up right well not Xbox uh you would think Walmart and Target would come to clean it up right
of course not the one who came it came to clean it up was of course Microsoft themselves you guys
see that's the problem that's almost like being in a relationship somebody else broke it off and when
they asked you about the relationship you tell them nah we still together i know that ain't who i
think it is that's essentially what Microsoft is doing because i even looked it up because you know at the end of the
day I don't try to spread fake news and I'm not celebrating Xbox's downfall. I'm just pointing out how I
told y'all time and time again that if PlayStation keeps outselling Xbox we're going to have a real
conversation and Xbox cannot even afford to lose another console word but it seems like we may not
even get to another console word so anyways let's get to the details as far as what I'm specifically
alluding to Walmart nor Target has issued an official statement on pulling Xx
Xboxes from their supermarkets.
But Microsoft came out.
Remember the relationship analogy I gave?
Microsoft came out and said that both Walmart and Xbox are committed partners,
but seemingly had no direct quotes from the retailers.
Shepard, just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
Now, once again, this is not bring me any joy.
I'm just letting y'all know that when it comes
to the console war one the console war is a terrible thing like the main thing you need to be saying
is are they keeping each other accountable because if microsoft does something sony is going to
do something to be more uh consumer friendly so that they can have more sales coming in if sony
only has playstation on the market and microsoft stops making hardware as far as xboxes
safe to say nothing is stopping sony from making the next uh console uh console
an exorbitant amount of price,
an exorbitant price, because guess what?
Where else you're going to turn to?
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, like where else are you going to turn to
if Sony is the only
console in the market?
It's kind of like Nintendo and Sega.
Nintendo and Sega was going back and forth
as far as the family-friendly consoles,
and now Nintendo's the only family-friendly console,
and look what that's got us.
Everybody's talking about drop the price movement,
which you know horrendously failed people are talking about how crazy price how yeah crazy in price
the mario car world is they're talking about the overall um i forget what the word is but basically
predatory that's what i'm saying the predatory actions as far as getting you to pay more than
they deem fair nintendo's the only family friendly console on the market so they could do whatever
they want and what are you going to do about it so anyways
When it comes to Sony and Microsoft, this is not bringing me any joy, but as of October 13th, Microsoft responded to those reports of Target and Walmart halting Xbox console sales.
And they denied the rumors.
Walmart and Target did not come out and send anybody to say, hey, what they're saying is correct.
Actually, they did the opposite.
They're staying quiet.
And they're basically letting you know that the writing is on the wall where there's smoke, there's fire, and all.
Ultimately, this is going to directly affect the game, the consumers, because now Sony has free reign to do whatever they want with prices going on the future.
Obviously, we could boycott and not pay for the PS6 or whatever.
They try to mark up as far as price, but it's a, it's a spooky scenario if Sony ends up being the only one putting out hardware in the gaming community.
So a lot of people are saying that these are false reports.
a lot of people saying that oh it's AI Microsoft already denied the rumors but but guess what
Microsoft's not the ones pulling Walmart or Target products out of their store is vice versa
Walmart and Target are the ones pulling their products out of their stores so it's safe to say
Microsoft's not the ones they need to come out and clean this up is the CEOs of Walmart the
CEOs of Target they need to come out and say hey we love Xbox and we want to be a committed
committed partner like Microsoft alludes to them being all right they need to come out and confirm
it because they're on the powerful end of the stick as far as determining the future of Xbox now
when it comes to Microsoft i'm not going to lie to you they'll be all right they sell a lot of other things
i mean windows is is very immensely popular and they will be all right if they are
exed out of the gaming industry as a company Microsoft will be a
be all right as consumers we will not be all right if we just let sony run rampant with the only console
in the market safe to say there's going to be some scary developments that i do not think y'all want to see
as far as having actual value and them actually giving fair prices for games and consoles in the future
safe to say Xbox still doesn't help themselves as i've reported a plethora of times
on Microsoft basically waving the white flag
Microsoft came out
and said that the raising prices on Xbox consoles
controllers
and then games worldwide
which to be fair
you could blame down the tariffs
because I believe Sony's done the same thing
I'm not I'm not sure I'm not trying to just cape for Sony
let's see Sony
it doesn't seem like Sony plays
oh yeah okay so August 21st 2025
I cover Sony
and them raising PlayStation to get a $50 US price hike.
So when it comes to that, it's not just a one-sided fight.
I'm giving you the information and then you do of that as you will.
So when it comes back to, let's go back to Xbox.
And then we go to Microsoft specifically raising the ultimate game pass to $30 a month.
Shepard, just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
So now you look at the console.
race which Microsoft is losing horrendously. But then, like I've said throughout the years,
until that news, as far as the Xbox Game Pass ultimate price, rising to $30 a month,
until that news came out, before that news came out, I was essentially saying time and time again
that the Xbox Game Pass was the most cost-effective way to be a hardcore gamer. But guess what?
They took that away. You guys. See, that's the problem. The only thing they had as a W,
they took away and essentially they was like we don't care if people leave us because the only thing
that we had was the cost effective game pass that was losing us money now you're probably thinking
to yourself how could you how could the game pass be losing the money if a lot of people are using it well that's
exactly my point if something is priced lower to cut off the the competition you're going to take a loss
but you're going to have more consumers
because you're giving them more value
for the price point.
But then you come to what it ultimately
ended up costing,
let me see if I could type this in right,
what it ultimately ended up costing Microsoft
as reportedly,
well, now I mean, Bloomberg reported this,
so you already know this is facts.
Bloomberg came out and said
that the Xbox's recent increase
in GamePass subscription fee
was because of a significant loss of over, goodness gracious,
over $300 million in Call of Duty sales
across both console and PC platforms last year.
And then not even that,
according to current and former employees,
Microsoft CFO Amy Hood has requested
that Xbox explore alternative strategies
to boost its profitability.
these.
Shepard, just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
So there was a reason why I kept saying Xbox
the game pass was the most cost-effective way
to be a hardcore gamer.
It's because it was losing Microsoft money.
The prices that they gave for the Xbox game pass
was not reasonable for any stockholder.
But they did it to basically
compete with PlayStation's selling
more PlayStation files for every Xbox.
Series X and S sold.
They had to compete somehow, so to get the consumers as far as the player base over the Xbox,
they made the game pass cheap as dirt.
Now, I don't want to be anti-consumer because I do not agree with the price hike, the price hike,
but you do have to report all the facts as to why they would go this route.
If Amy Hood comes out and says, hmm, hey, Microsoft, if you could specifically tell the head
of the Xbox division to make a strategy.
that makes sense.
That would be great, right?
And you know, all of this,
uh, consumer friendly practices that's losing us money.
That's,
that's all good and everything.
But we're over here as stockholders trying to increase the stock and they keep losing
us 300 million plus dollars because they want to make the game pass affordable.
So fast forward to October of 2025 Xbox game pass ultimate price is seemingly,
not seemingly.
It's, um, it's a 50% price hike that really, um,
I think they announced that in November.
We still don't know when it's going to actually go into effect
because I looked at my subscription.
I'm not going to lie to you.
I kind of thought to myself,
I'm like, hold up now.
Maybe I should buy the full year to get around that.
I may still do that because the ultimate price is still the same.
But I don't know if it's delayed.
I don't know what's going on.
But at some point, they're going to raise it by 50%.
So I don't know if they're trying to get people to subscribe to the full year.
I'm not going to advise you to do that.
Just for me, as a content creator,
It makes all the sense in the world.
For the average gamer out there,
you're really only going to play,
and this is if you're a responsible adult,
you're really only going to play two to four,
two to four games.
I'm talking about in full as far as beating it.
Of course, you could dabble with a plethora of games,
but as far as beating it,
I would say you could probably be three to four games
as far as fully in a whole year.
I'm not talking about multiplayer,
not talking about the live services
that you can play for 15 minutes and get like 20 matches in i'm not talking about those type of games
talking about a real ghost of tushima a real uh assassin creed shadows um expedition 33 like those type of games
you can only probably play four to six of those a year i don't think in any world is the 50%
price hike for xbox game pass justifiable for any average gamer so anyways with that being said
there's a lot of things that's going on in the world of microsoft
off is actually a spooky place for the developments of the next Xbox console because guess what
there's so much that goes into a hardware as far as console from um i never made a console so i can't
like break down the details but as far as respecting the art of creating a hardware like a Xbox
or a PlayStation i assume it takes years of development then you have to mass produce it then not
only that you have to make sure the metrics is correct as far as giving it to certain stores on
what's going to what's going to sell the most wear and Costco Target and Walmart pulling Xbox stock
seemingly is the same as cost remember Costco officially came out not like take it with a grain of salt
Costco officially came out and said they ended Xbox sales and the reason they gave was
expired contract and low turnover sales let me put that in translation for somebody who's been in
sports majority of their life essentially
Eventually, it was like when the 76ers looked at Ben Simmons and they said to him, hey, I think your time is done.
You guys.
See, that's the problem.
You look at somebody, you see all the potential in the world, and then you look at the actual analytics and you start thinking to yourself.
There's no way that this person is going to get back to their prime forum, so let's just let you go.
And that is a sad day in history, especially for a lot of hardcore and avid Xbox gamers out there.
I mean, I have an Xbox console too.
So when it comes to the console war, I don't really participate in that.
I participate in the consumer versus company war.
That's what I participate in.
Whatever is the best value for the consumers, that's what I advocate for.
So whenever it comes to Xbox losing the race so bad that they're getting pulled from Costco
and allegedly getting pool from Target and Walmart, is actually a,
a really negative scenario to the point where we would have to see what happens in a foreseeable future
but i think whether smoke there's fire and there's been rumors on xbox going fully digital as far as
the cloud and partnering with steam so if they become a third-party company as far as Xbox i think
that may be the best route as of right now and maybe pull what some companies do for video games
and take a year off as far as the console war and come back with another console to where it blows
PlayStation out of the water i think that may be the best scenario but as of right now it's not looking
good for Microsoft and Xbox so with that being said click my link to my bio let me know one of my
social media's what do you think about Microsoft responding to target and walmart halting Xbox sales
and what do you think about Walmart and target not giving an official
statement yet as far as pulling or discontinuing Xbox consoles from the stores.
