Starting point is 00:00:00 Shepard, promise me you'll tell them to subscribe for free content. Now, of course, ladies and gentlemen, you already know it's time to break this down like a kilo of Miley Cyrus. As if you don't know, of course, her latest album, which is the 10th album in her musical career. We're not even talking about her entertainment career as a whole. Music specifically, her 10th studio album, decades later. later still reach number one on the billboard charts. And of course when it comes to that, Miley Cyrus came out with a statement on her IG saying
Starting point is 00:00:43 base persuades being number one transcends a win. This process has been some of the best times for me. Everyone involved made it possible. And more importantly, fun and memorable. Thank you, Atlantic, my team, and everyone who worked. beside me with conviction I love you well that's so nice ain't it you guys so also she finished off the statement by saying to the fans you make my world go round making music for you brings immeasurable joy to my life forever myly now if you haven't noticed by
Starting point is 00:01:30 now there's a particular change in the name for Miley Cyrus as she has officially dropped the last name Cyrus now of course who would know that nobody that is why this platform exists to let the people out there who are just average
Starting point is 00:01:46 consumers know that Miley officially just dropped Cyrus from her name and literally objectively speaking this is the first album ever as just Miley no Cyrus now if you didn't know well now you know you know what i'm saying i'll say boy dreams never told you something you know what i'm saying
Starting point is 00:02:03 you feel me come on droolky they ain't got to do all that but definitely make sure to rate this five stars now anyways the main reason we're getting into mylie cyrus for this particular segment not only did she just go number one with her 10th studio album which if you don't know her first album her first official album ever on dsps came out in 2007 titled meet mylie cyrus now of course um If you're not aware, from 2006 to 2011, she was the star of Disney's Hannah Montana. You may have heard of that show. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:02:40 Like, it was this particular show back in the day on Disney, right? All right. I don't want to sound old, so I'm not going to tell y'all. But basically, Hannah Montana was definitely a classic. I kid you not. Anyways, Miley Cyrus went on a particular pathway that we've seen time and time again, whether it's Selena Gomez, Demi Lovado, Ariana Grande, Leon Thomas.
Starting point is 00:03:04 I mean, I could keep going on and on to Jones brothers. A plethora of artists, right? Safe to say she went down that pathway of an actor turned very popular musician. Is it okay? I got my dope on me? That a lot of other superstars have went down the same path. But anyways, when it comes to Miley Cyrus, obviously her accomplishments in the entertainment field is the bar. when it comes to entertainers in the industry because not only did she had a fantastic acting career
Starting point is 00:03:35 with hannah montana but of course when you look at her overall success in the music industry if you don't know her first Grammy win was in 2024 for record of the year for the particular track titled flowers and of course when it comes to mollie sarah specifically she had her most successful track as far as party in the USA, which you probably heard that before, that peaked at number two on the billboard charts. And then, of course, had a lot of golden globe nominations for original songs, such as songs for the movie Bolt, The Last Showgirl, Avatar, Fire, and Ash, etc. Like, Miley Cyrus is definitely one of the biggest entertainers in the field to notoriously affect the masses.
Starting point is 00:04:24 And of course, over here at Notorious Mass Effect. We get into the gaming and music IPs that notoriously affect the masses. So safe to say, Miley Cyrus is an epitome of having success in the music industry for a long period of time. Because, ladies and gentlemen, 2006, you know, not to sound like that person. Because, you know, we don't age shame over here. I may be 26 going on 80, but we do not age shame. But looking at my handy-dandy watch, safe to say, 2006 was quite some time ago. You guys.
Starting point is 00:04:56 You know what I'm saying? So when you look at decades later, Miley Scy's. is going insane on the musical side, not even really focusing on the acting side and still having such a notorious mass effect, you come to realize that people like Hannah Montana, people like Miley Cyrus, as far as the IP, does not come around often in this industry. Anyways, with the glaze set to the side, ladies and gentlemen, let's get into the objective numbers of her album because, of course, once again, it did debut at number one on Billboard. And of course, when it comes to her debut in number one on Billboard, the main thing I was wanted to talk about was her selling 61,000 copies in her first week.
Starting point is 00:05:45 Now, of course, throughout my coverage of the music industry, I'm not trying to be that person. Of course, $61,000 is very respectable for any musician. But when you come to Mylis Cyrus specifically and look at her career first week sales, it's not like this particular album outperformed all her past albums. I mean, plastic cards had 60,000, something, but that was in 2020. Something beautiful in 2025 had around 54,000. And of course, Inlet Summer Vacation in 2023 had 119,000, which was her biggest first week sales and quite some time, especially since 2013. So when you look at her sales, her first week sales, it doesn't blow you out of the water. I will say Miley Cyrus is one of the more top tier legacy acts.
Starting point is 00:06:33 and what I mean by that is when she puts out music, it's not going to stop the presses and have everybody pay attention to it. But of course, she already has a fan base built in to where they will already check her, check out her music because they hold her in such high regard and deservedly so. So the reason why frame it like that is because $61,000 was enough to get her to the number one slot. If you was wondering, of course, I know that ain't who I think of it is. I said if you was wondering, of course, the one and only Ella Langley was right behind her with 60,000. Hold on let me actually bring this up. Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio, because I want to show you just how close the race was for the number one most play album in the world. So, of course, Dandelion, but Ella Langley has been on the charts for, well, it's been out for quite some time, but it's still selling phenomenal.
Starting point is 00:07:26 So, and like the 20th week of Dandelion, it's still the second most play album in the world, right? I've already went into Ella Langley time and time again. I'm not going to get into my sentiments on how I believe she's definitely the MVP of the year of 2026, objectively speaking, not even talking about Dandelion. I'm really talking about choosing Texas being one of the most popular tracks of all time. So anyways, Miley Cyrus bass persuades beat out Ella Langley's Dandelion. because as you can see right here, 61,497 compared to Ella Langley's 60,556.
Starting point is 00:08:02 It's really close as far as the battle for number one. Why is it so close? I believe, of course, Sony and Warner are definitely competing when it comes to market share. Warner has 11% of music market share. Sony has 26% of the music market share, and UMG has 63%. UMG just putting BT on the whole industry,
Starting point is 00:08:21 but that's a whole other discussion. So anyways, I don't think Sony was doing Warner as solid. by letting Miley Cyrus get number one. I think Miley actually probably marketed in the right way to get that number one when she realized the race was so close because as you can see right here, Riley Green, the album, That's Just Me, had 60,3008. So, of course, he's under UMG. I think it would have behooved UMG to, you know, maybe put a couple of dollars behind Riley
Starting point is 00:08:49 Green's that's just me to get him to number one. I think they could have made it happen, but, you know, politics as usual. So when the race is this close, best believe your label, which is, this is the major label right here, right? Your major label could easily, I mean easily, don't let them tell you different, have certain marketing campaigns to bump you up to number one, especially when a race is this close. Now, the reason why I say that is not to discredit Molly Cyrus, number one. I'm just letting you know how close the race was. But ultimately, objectively speaking, Molly Cyrus just earned her first. I was about to say first.
Starting point is 00:09:25 I think it's her six number one. Let me see. Yeah, this is Cyrus's six Billboard 200 number one album. So of course she's no stranger to be in number one on the Billboard charts, but of course all number ones are not the same. Just like in the NBA, all championships are not the same. But guess what? It's still a championship in a very, a very rare accomplishment by a musician
Starting point is 00:09:51 in the landscape where everybody and their mama is putting our music. So anyways, with that being said, Miley Cyrus is set to be one of the favorites to perform at the Super Bowl. And the reason why I frame it like that is because there's a certain somebody, you know what I'm saying? But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Like, what's going on? I said there's a certain somebody that will lead you to believe that nobody wants to perform at the Super Bowl. It's just too much bad PR, one of the biggest platforms ever for a musician to perform on. Nobody wants it, right? So why not
Starting point is 00:10:29 just come out and do it himself? Obviously, I'm talking about the one and only Jay-Z. I know that ain't who I think it is. So if you don't know, when it comes to other people that is definitely willing to do the Super Bowl and is very deserving for the opportunity,
Starting point is 00:10:45 you have Miley Cyrus. Of course, you have Harry Styles that we've talked about before. You have Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter. I believe, my personal prediction, I believe it should, be Justin Bieber, especially with Super Bowl landing on Valentine's Day. Justin Bieber is the obvious pick for me. But when it comes to Molly Cyrus, she's also in the running.
Starting point is 00:11:05 It's not just sources I made it up. There's actual predictions and insiders talking about the artists that are actually being considered for the Super Bowl performance. Yeah, performance. So when I talk about Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, Molly, Cyrus, Ariana Grande, I'm not making this up. These are actual names that are. thrown around in the pot as of right now to be likely to perform at the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Because if you don't know, these conversations happen way before the actual artist is announced as far as via like an official trailer. So with that being said, I want to be mad if Molly Cyrus got the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl, especially after Bad Bunny. I do believe, and I may get killed for saying this, I do believe that is about time to switch back to a more vanilla act because we had
Starting point is 00:11:58 side seven is it okay I got my dope on me we had the legendary bad bunny who did phenomenal before that we had Dr.
Starting point is 00:12:07 Dr. Dre well not before that but you know basically we had Dr. Dre and France who else we had basically we had a lot of rap
Starting point is 00:12:14 acts and R&B acts and a Spanish act I believe when it comes to the usual crowd for the NFL, they are ready for one of their favorite acts to grace the stage, right? And out of the five to six years that we've had rap, hip hop, and Latin acts, I don't mind, and I believe it's time for an act like a mildly Cyrus or Justin Bieber.
Starting point is 00:12:40 But that's just me. So hopefully I don't get killed for that because right after that, I'm not going to lie to you. They may have to go back after that and, you know, get like Drake or somebody because we've got to get back to rap because Jay-Z is currently in control of the entertainment for NFL. So, but we do have to throw them a bone every once in a while. They're going to be like, hold up now. Y'all doing the same thing as us that we did to y'all for like 500 years. You guys.
Starting point is 00:13:03 You know what I'm saying? They don't like that. I'm not saying it justifies it, but I'm like, we might as well throw them a bone because they did it to us for 500 years. We can't even do it to them for five years without them getting upset. So anyways, when it comes to Milis Cyrus and her notorious mass effect, safe to say, one of the biggest things that a lot of people pointed out is that she was not at the VMAs And no, that's not because they have some beef or she has beef with the VMAs. It's simply because she had no nominations for her latest album that came out this year
Starting point is 00:13:32 because it fell outside of the eligibility window. But it is eligible for next year. So expect Miley Cyrus at the VMAs for next year. When it comes to the rest of 2026 from Miley Cyrus, she's doing something called the Hollywood Bowl. I don't know if that's because of, let me see. I actually don't know. Is that a tour? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:13:55 I think that's a whole tour. I believe. Okay, so Cyrus is scheduled for two Hollywood Bowl performances on October 16th and October 18, 2026. Now, of course, she could be warming up for a particular Super Bowl or she could be auditioning for a Super Bowl slot, right? titling something Hollywood Bowl when you're one of the favored artists projected to be the Super Bowl performing act for this particular year. I don't think that's a coincidence. I think when you come into the auditioning aspect, Miley Cyrus is putting on a master class on how to actually let the Super Bowl entertainment,
Starting point is 00:14:45 the people who's over the Super Bowl entertainment know that you're serious about wanting to perform for the Super Bowl and not not the news that just came out as far as people, you know, not wanting to do the Super Bowl because of the bad PR. So basically, Molly Cyrus is doing a phenomenal job with her PR team right now, especially titling something Hollywood Bowl when there's only two shows. It's not a whole tour, so it's only two shows. Once again, it's October 16th and October. 18th so don't tell you know don't get mad when you missed the show because your boy dreams told you you you get mad because you ain't know molly saris was performing
Starting point is 00:15:24 safe to say you wasn't listening to notorious mass effect you know what i'm saying and that's a problem so anyways with that being said uh that's basically it myly saris is phenomenal one of the greatest entertainers i've ever seen in the industry uh multi-faceted and of course it's not just because i watched hannah montana so that'd be saying Click my link to view my bio to follow me on my social medias. And of course, if you're on Spotify, make sure to comment down below if you listen to the bass persuades album. What is your favorite track? And do you want Miley Cyrus to perform at the Super Bowl?
