Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey man, I'm gonna start disrespecting Nause. All this talk about Nause dropping the album. Oh, I can't wait for it. Nause getting my first spin. All these other rappers dropping, but I'm only listening to Nause. Y'all did the same thing to Lil T.J.
Starting point is 00:00:20 And I still ain't seen that man's first week sales. Apparently, he sold less to King Vind that sold like around 16 to 22,000. I forget how much he sold first. week. It was something atrocious. Little TJ wasn't even close to that. So I think they just didn't even report on it. Still haven't seen the sales that came out for him. And from the looks of it,
Starting point is 00:00:46 not going to tell y'all how I know, but from the looks of it, y'all setting up Nause for another little TJ type of outing. Now let me tell y'all something. We got to treat one of our best rappers of all time with a little bit of respect. I'm not saying this man should sell almost 500,000 like what he used to do back in, uh,
Starting point is 00:01:12 what was it? I'm not trying to be disrespectful. 1999 with I am. But we do have to keep him into 70 to 80,000. Like, you know, treat him like and be a young boy. Like every time he dropped at least let's try to get him to 60,000. Like even King's disease that, wow. I think King's Disease won a Grammy. Let me see. King's Disease, even with the King's
Starting point is 00:01:46 Disease trilogy with Nause and Hip Boy, ended up winning a Grammy for Best Rap Album with the first King's Disease. And it also was his first ever Grammy Award win after 14 nominations. So not only has this man been given us quality for decades but now after king's disease was sold a hundred a hundred thousand first week in 2020 but then he followed it up with king's disease too which i thought was still a solid addition right 2021 so 47 000 first week which is that's still respectable right that's still respectable then last year king's disease three sold 29 000 first week you can you can't kind of see the pattern here 100,000 47,000 29,000 time to switch you there right so he's giving us
Starting point is 00:02:50 magic two if you don't know magic one was like a mixtape i believe i don't even know how much that's so first week because back then you know it was like physical copies you know streams and really it's it's a lot magic we don't know the sales for that but i i assume it was a lot i mean it's back when he was in his heyday and he was doing at least let me look at the numbers he was doing at least $190,000. First week. So I know people say first week sales don't matter, but obviously they do because your second and third and fourth week is not going to be more than your first. So your first week is like the highest anticipation.
Starting point is 00:03:26 So if this is what you're putting out, I'm not going to put it on Nause because I believe when you get to this level of iconic legendary status, your Quora fan base and the modern fan base should at least get you to a certain level. level of sales simply for the fact you've given us so many iconic bars throughout your hip hop career so i wanted to specifically talk about this track 50 cent and uh naz called office hours not going to lie listen to track it was okay but um that's not that's what that's that's what's point 50 cent was rapping for at least 1.5 seconds and just started talking for the rest of his first. I don't know if that's how Nause wanted him to do it, but that's what he did. Basically, I'm saying that this is not overall trash. I don't review albums when they first come out. That's extremely disrespectful, I feel like, unless it's just like a little pump or something.
Starting point is 00:04:29 It's easily to digest, but easily digestible. But with Nause, of course, takes a couple of listens for, or more than a couple of listens for you to actually just take in what he's saying and interpret and understand and actually digest the lyrics that he's throwing at you so basically for this segment i'm entitled it the the the nods and 50 cent but i just really want to focus on y'all out here letting nods flop when it comes to sales wise because quality wise he's held up the bar for such a long time and it's only the fans that are letting this man down i mean i even looked at ice spice and she looks like she's gonna be doing way more numbers than naus like obviously she's a new up-and-coming artist and naus has been around but should the gap be this large in sales
Starting point is 00:05:27 between ice spice than naz i know that may sound like hate but i'm going somewhere with this of course naz and j z have had their notorious hip-hop beef throughout the years of them recording music nods drops the album j z magically appears with something of his own j z releases a museum a book of hove or whatever gnaz mysteriously comes out with the album called magic two it's a never-ending game of when you do something then i'ma do something so now with naz dropping this magic album if he does not sell like i oh if he sells like i think he's going to sell expect a j z verse in the next week or two. I'll bet you that I'll probably go top five
Starting point is 00:06:17 on the Billboard charts because Jay-Z has always been keen on dropping around the time Nas drops and vice versa. If you don't believe me, just line up the last, hold on. Let me find this for y'all. Y'all don't think I'm joking.
Starting point is 00:06:38 Nause album releases date times. All right. Because I think some of you all think I'm joking. looking because because this is the reason why I'm talking about the sales like this right so it's not it's not what I'm looking for let's just go with the last album let's just go with uh kings disease three right when did they come out and that came out uh April 28th 2023 all right let's see April or May
Starting point is 00:07:25 20, 23 Jay Z songs. I bet you something's going to pop up, watch. I'm not going to lie. That did not go how I planned it. Anyway, shall I get what I'm saying? This man released God did, because that's the last time I knew he did it.
Starting point is 00:07:47 He released God did. Let me see when that came out. When the God did come out? God did. I swear he put out something. I think this was it. Yeah, August. Oh, that was 2022, but
Starting point is 00:08:03 um yeah that doesn't that doesn't help my point at all anyways y'all got to believe me i'm not gonna lie to you i don't feel you looking up but uh j c c always drops whenever nazes drops and naws always drop something when j z drops it's almost like a cat and mouse game but uh who's really the cat who's the mouse i think we're kind of figuring out that his uh j z might be the uh might be the is he is the cat the good thing to be i don't know whatever the good thing to be is That's Jay-Z when it comes to the Jay-Z and Nas effect. And the last time that these two was on a track together was a while ago, I believe. I don't remember the last time Jay-Z and Nas was on track.
Starting point is 00:08:48 All I know is there's a reason why Jay-Z puts out certain things around the time that Nas puts it out. And I think he's attributing to bring it full circle to these album sales. I think honestly Jay Z is going to do something in the next week or two, which is not out of like spite, but it's just to show him, show Nause, who's the big dog. Because people, it's like Drake and Kanye. They always compare the two to each other stylistically and in this music game. So every chance that Jay Z gets and vice versa,
Starting point is 00:09:20 they're going to show you that I'm the superior artist. So expect Jay Z to do something in the next week or two, whether it's a verse, whether it's a project. I think honestly this is the Nause response turn because Nause came with an album after J.Z announced the Book of Hove. Like, don't you think it's just weird that he put this album out of the blue? Like it was no lead up, no rollout, nothing. J.Z came out with the Book of Hove.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Then right after that, not even like a week after, Nas was like, hey, I have a new project coming out, Magic 2, and just dropped the whole thing. Like, I don't think that's a... Maybe I'll call me crazy, but I don't think that's a coincidence, man. And the way that this man's selling... Maybe he should have some type of rollout because this is this is looking bad. This is, hey, I'm not even going to lie to you.
Starting point is 00:10:05 He may sell less than Lil T.J. did. And we still don't know that man's first week in numbers. Can somebody please let me know what Lil T.J. sold with his latest album in the first week because it just, it had to be atrocious. I don't see nobody reporting on it. So anyways, click my link to my bio. Let me know one of my social medias. Am I going crazy for comparing Jay Z and Nas and their release time? times together and also by this time if you've listened to the album completely or thoroughly
Starting point is 00:10:39 i might add what is your favorite track
