Now, when getting into Young Boy, I think some people don't like the amount of tracks this man puts out.
But you have to keep in mind.
And you have to recognize a fact that I saw on the Internet had a cross-reference, you know, go to my database.
You feel me?
And make sure it was correct.
Because ain't no way that NBA Young Boy has more gold and plus.
platinum songs than Taylor Swift, the weekend, and Justin Bieber.
But guess what? That's actually true.
So with that being said, obviously the output is working because I think that's the only
reason he has more golden platinum tracks than those people.
Because if you look at the quality standpoint, I don't think anybody would tell you that
young boy makes better music than any of those musicians I just named.
Anyways, we're getting into the actual album.
that young boy just put out and instead of saying compliments of grave digger mountain he should have said contemplation
of grave digger mountain because at this point in time i think this is my conspiracy theory this man
is under UMG which is universal music group this album is 35 minutes and 22 seconds 13 tracks
keep that in mind let's go to ariana grande who's one of the bigger artists as well as young
boy under UMG and guess what she just put out of the album 13 songs 35 minutes now
what does that mean because just because you put out 13 tracks it doesn't mean it's
gonna be around a 35 minute mark I think these artists are specifically hitting
whatever contractual obligations they have to fulfill their contract because there's no
way you're gonna tell me that young boy is only putting out a 35 minute album like he
he doesn't have millions of songs in the tuck.
So I think UMG, I'm not going to say just forced him to put out of the album.
But at this point in time, the output to me is alarming from Youngboy
because I think he's specifically trying to hit quotas for Universal Music Group.
And I think creatively, trying to hit quotas will have people talking about your music like
they already do.
They already say it's mediocre.
They say that the output is too much and it gets to the point where
people focus on your latest albums topping the album music hip-hop charts
But whenever you put out an album obviously is gonna top the charts because that's what everybody's going to to listen to and so
If you're already a top artist you're gonna at least get that first play off of a project just because people are just gonna check it out
But in a long run
I think that this output of just meaty yoker music and I don't fault him to a certain degree because you know he's basically on house arrest which is a blessing in itself because he could be locked up waiting for his trial.
But him being on quote unquote gray digger mountain and it putting out compliments when it's more of a compilation album I think is a significant telltale sign that this man is running.
out of steam because he has in no disrespect to these artists I'm about the name but usually
young boy has more of a pristine featureless when it comes to his projects but for this particular
album that I think he solely just put out to hit a quota I don't think he really cared about this
album in the in the slightest like if I was to well I'm gonna get to that in a second so basically
this man has BBG Baby Joe on the first track.
He has Little Dump.
He has Vontina.
Little Dump again took two dumps.
That's like, anyways.
Michi, baby.
I mean, he didn't got somebody who was inspired by BMF to be on this album.
I think he literally just used this to promote up-and-coming artists,
which is nothing wrong with that.
but then reiterates the fact for me that this was more of a quota hitter more than it was a creative
output that he wanted to actually give to his fans and i'm not going to say the same about well
i'm not going to specifically say the same about ariana even though i think that she was also
hitting a quota but at least she put more effort into the rollout and everything as far as having
a successful single this obviously has no singles has no successful
tracks is going to come off of this compilation which it could happen obviously that could be wrong but
this just seems like such a why does it exist type of project that i have to point it out because all of
the y b better movement seems to have completely eviscerated like at this point it seems to be r ip for that
entire movement because i haven't seen one person type y b's better so with this compliments of
grave digger i think this will end up having more of a flop
than young boy fans are used to because one it's only 35 minutes so it's only so many times you can stream it for the first well there's only so many times you could have a that initial boost in streams because it's not a long album so with this album not going to perform like i think it should basically i'm predicting more of a 20 to 30,000 first
week in sales and I know this may seem high obviously because I think his first
week sales his first week sales in the past have been around that number I
believe because he's dropping so much music and all of his albums are not
really selling like he used to I don't see if I could find it okay back of
22 trying to get more into the now 23 goodness okay so don't try this at home
so 75,000
first week
and that was the one
with all the promotion
with the interview
where he was basically
whispering with
Elliot and BDOT
just look up
Elliot BDott
Young Boy interview
he was basically
acting like he was
second coming to Joker
on that interview
like he just was whispering
like he was just
going to take over
the entire Gotham
you know what I mean
like entire Gotham
need to be under watch
because this man
was talking like a straight up
super villain
so don't try this at home
so 75 to 8
85,000 were all that at press and all of the promotion that came with it.
But specifically, I want to know his last album because that was the one that was organically
just him and his fan base.
Okay, so decided to see, 32,000 first week, December 6th, 2023.
So I'm not going to say that young boy is falling off because obviously I'll never say
that his output is just too much to actually compare it to other musicians.
I would just say this particular project, that's why I give it that projection, because I just don't think his output is helping when it comes to boosting his first week sales.
I think it's only hurting.
So I would say 25 to 30,000 first week for this project.
And sales may not be the biggest thing for him because his fans are going to stream his music regardless.
Because if you look at the totality of things, he sold 174,000 units as far as the combination of decided to Rich's Op and don't try this at home.
I'll rest my case.
That's like four projects.
So most musicians would like to have that, but that's not how first week sales work.
If we go basically off, it was solely off that project.
Like when you go to a label, you're not going to say, oh, I did this combined.
They're going to say, oh, but what is the projections for each album?
And now that it starts off at 35,000 as far as first week, everybody's going to go,
it's going to keep going down.
Like, put this in perspective.
So, okay, finally, I found that.
the actual numbers so decided to 35,000 first week rich's op 51, don't try this at home 60,000
that was a huge promo run with Elliot and BDod with him whispering and all that stuff and then
I rest my case was the 29,000 first week which probably was an indication to him that I probably
need some press before I put out this album I mean why do you think young boys been asking everybody
and the mom to come to his home what's what's it called basically his uh house arrest why do you think
he's been inviting the entire press to come to his house arrest location and gave it a whole name
of grave digger mountain there's a whole marketing ploy for the album we see now i just don't think it would
work so in context it's the output not the projections that i'm concerned with
because at some point his fans are going to just tune him out because with his career
already being monumental as far as every other rapper rapper's career I think as a certain
point there's a burnout effect happen happens to the biggest of companies I mean just look what
Marvel did a 10 year run of just straight hits everybody saying that they're tired of them putting
out every other week you know so with young boy I think it's a similar effect that's why
the numbers are going down at some point it's just going to get to a point where UMG may end up putting
this man back in jail because they're like oh we got everything we've gotten out of you i mean do you
i not realize the only reason he's out on uh house arrest is because his label his lawyers went in
and basically talked about how he's such a positive thing to the community drives the ecosystem
when he puts our music you know he generates sales which makes the ecosystem go around you know
they be get into certain um i mean prime example young thugs lawyer talking about the acronyms for thug
and stuff you know they'll just come up with anything that make you just seem like the most positive
uh law-abiding citizen in the world you know so anyways that's the only reason he's on house arrest
is because his lawyers uh argue and fought for it so umg i don't think they did that to for the you know
betterment of young boy i think they literally did that so they can get all of these projects out of
him which goes back to my original point that i think this uh compilation well this compliments of
grave digger mountain project is just strictly a quota hitter for the amount of albums that he has to
deliver before his uh contract is up so anyways with that being said i don't really have anything
else to talk about i think i've been down on young boy for a minute simply for the fact that
usually his album contains a lot of tracks but at this point in time this is probably his shortest
album ever so i don't know if he's going to lean on that because his last one which was decided to
that was an hour rich's op that was 49 minutes don't try this at home that was an hour 25 like
this guy can put out music and then make albums love
long. I rest my case. Okay, that one was 39 minutes with 19 tracks. So yeah, with this one being
35 minutes, I think that's the bare minimum. I ain't going to like to you. I don't think he could go
any lower than that and it'd be counted for an actual project under UMG contract. But obviously,
I don't know his contract. I'm just going off of what I've seen from UMG artists and the bare minimum
that they could get away with for that being counted as an album. So we'll see what it ends up happening.
my words I don't think this is going to sell well and honestly it may sell in the 20s so
with that being said click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social media is what do you
think about young boy new album compliments of grave digger mountain out now on all DSPs and at the end
of the day do you think young boy is currently falling off
