Now, of course, I covered the album title a while back as far as NBA Young Boy.
May 21st, 2025 is when I touched on the album title and of course the tour title.
As when it comes to Massa, ladies and gentlemen, as the black community, we have to stop
titling things in ways that you know could be taken out of context. But then you think about
it, and NBA Young Boy gave us all the context
in the world. So when it comes to the American flag, when it comes to him being arrested, being put on
house arrest, and then ultimately violated probation so he had to go back to prison. And then,
surprisingly, he was able to be released and there was whole helicopters that was flying them back
to whatever type of confined area he was supposed to be in. And then shortly following that,
he puts out his album title and of course his tour title which is titled make america slime again
which abbreviates into massa so you can't make this stuff up when it comes to NBA young boy
and his fan base there's reason why they call them the youtube fan base is because they also talk
about NBA young boys crazy rise to fame through the YouTube
algorithm but when you look at it k-pop demon hunters black pink Alex Warren is towards the top i
don't know what type of dominance NBA young boy is talking about having besides to be fair to
to be fair when it comes to weekly top artists NBA young boy is number one so when it comes to
Morgan wallin k-pop demon hunters fresa regida of course the goat when it comes to drake bad bunny
they are they round off the the top six but when it comes to number one and be a young boy is the
top weekly artist but he just dropped the album so when it comes to the top music videos and the
top weekly songs specifically that's why i start to pull out uh that's why i start to point out how he
may not be the top when it comes to youtube it may just be streaming on youtube that he's the best
at but when it comes to that i always talk about how you need an approximate 1400
to 1,500 streams to equivalent one album unit.
So with that being said, now you're trying to get people
to buy your music when they're a condition
to listen to your music on YouTube.
The NBA Youngboy is gonna figure out very quickly
that the YouTube streams do not convert
into hard ticket sales when it comes to listing out
your prices for your tour.
You're gonna have to have,
have to make it less expensive because now people are so inclined to just stream your music,
why would they come out to watch you for $200, $300, which honestly speaking, NB a young boy could
charge. But when you have a fan base that's conditioned to get stuff for free time and time again,
it's going to be harder for them to come out of their hard-earned money in the future for the same
type of content. Do y'all really think that young boy is going to be putting on some type of Kanye,
Travis Scott type of performance? Well, of course not. So when it comes to that, it's going to be
very interesting to see how this tour goes. It is one of his most extensive albums to date,
which whenever I see a plethora of tracks, several tracks, I believe that it's just ultimately
lazy because now you don't want to go through the ANR process of picking the right track. You
want to put something out and let the fans decide what's the best track so they can make their
own playlist when in all actuality you're one of the biggest stars in the hip-hop game you can dictate
what they like if you cultivate an actual marketing strategy y'all see how drake had the face first
single teased an ice man one when nobody noticed because he was just playing the beat but
but he was mouting the words to which one.
NBA young boy could have that type of marketing strategy,
but he ultimately just does not care.
So when you really look at these artists
and figure out that they could care less about the art form
and the way they're constructing their marketing strategies,
and then they put out a 50 gazillion track album,
you start to realize why I have certain problems with that,
especially covering the entire music landscape,
and of course in the midst of hip hop having one of its worst years as far as consumption compared to other genres because i'm hip hop i'm r and b first and then i cover a lot of other genres doing that openings your perspective to realize hold on now hip hop artists are cutting us short hip hop artists are doing a lot of things that is not going to extra mile that some of these other genres are doing which is why they may see
towards the top.
So anyways, I believe Massa, after saying all that,
I believe that Massa is going to sell well.
I do believe having a 30-track album is just egregious.
If you're not Chris Brown, there's no reason for you to be putting out a 30-track album.
I just don't know why he did it.
Actually, I do.
I mean, it's for streaming.
But ultimately, very lazy.
But if his fan base is going to put up with it, then, hey, maybe the Massa titling for
its album is very fitting.
So that being said, click my link to you in my bio.
Let me know one of my social medias.
