See, when we're getting into the latest single from DJ Callet featuring the one and only post Malone and NBA Young Boy, which is a very DJ Callet-esque collab because of course this is a superstar heavy track that only DJ Callet could pull off.
But the whole time I was thinking to myself, why can't he prioritize the popular artist that he has on his album?
I mean, at some point, we need those Drake Bell features.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip-hop.
what's going on i mean he said he had two of them so i need at least one because of course i just
noticed all type of drake and josh bars that he's going to have throughout the entire track
and imagine if the second single from drake bell was all right y'all get the point right
drake bell's not coming out anytime soon to be on dj callet's album but that didn't stop
dj calais from saying that he had two drake singles now what drake was he talking about like the
canadian said himself the world may never know so with that be it said uh you remind me
featuring vibes cartel,
Buju, Bantin,
Mavado, Bounty Killer,
Rory, Stone Love,
and Kylan Arnold?
Goodness gracious, how you fit that
means artists on one track?
How does that work?
Let me see.
Is that even out?
I don't think that's out yet.
So that must be coming next.
But what is out right now
is the track Brother
with Post Malone and NBA Youngboy.
So as far as his latest album, God,
did.
Oh, in 2022.
Wow, it's been a minute, huh?
I wonder what happened from
2022 to 2025 to the latest album so much anyways hopefully uh drake bell could tell us anyways uh
dj let me see dj call it god did because i think it did pretty good honestly i mean i don't
think it did as well as when he first started doing the superstar collab albums but uh let me see so
as far as the latest god did album which is the superstar i'm
collab. It did 107,000 first week. Very interesting. Okay. Let me see. Compare. Let me see.
There's two. I think let's just do like four albums. Because I think that gives us a good
indication. Because some people will say that nobody wants to be on DJ Callis album anymore.
Like the things that DJ Catlop was having to do to get these superstar acts to make music
together was very interesting. I mean, giving them entire like 100% publishing along with other stuff.
Like, you know, it's very interesting how you put out this album.
And ultimately, what you're trying to accomplish is very hard
because you're dealing with a lot of different egos to the point where
a post Malone at NBA young boy could be looking at you saying to themselves,
I'm making this track, right?
So now you're dealing with that fact.
And now you're trying to get out this album with a bunch of artists like that on the
album that could say that I'm making this album, right?
My presence on this album is making it.
So now you run into the hard press situation where, you know,
a lot of people like DJ Cali.
which is why he's able to get around this but ultimately it's very interesting because now
if you look at it from a sales perspective father of Assad did 136,000 first week cali cadillic did 93,000
god did was better than that so that was a good as far as a follow-up 107,000 first week but grateful
in 2017 did 149,000 and my favorite DJ Callet album happened in 2016 as far as major key because i still to
this day believe that was the greatest one of the greatest rap tracks of all time as far as holy key
with big sean and kendrick lamar i think that's one of the greatest lyrical performances uh
that's one of the greatest lyrical performances we've ever seen in quite some time in the game of hip-hop
and it reminded me of when pushy t and j z had to track drug dealers anonymous that's the same
type of hierarchy i would put that big sean and kendrick collab in as far as the holy key track so anyways
So without showing my age, let me stop, you know, reminiscing on 2016.
So diving back into 2025, as far as this particular track, Brother with Post Malone and NBA
Young Boy, it'll be interesting to see if it even percolates on the charts because, of course,
one of the main things that helps out Cal it every single time is having a Drake feature.
If you don't believe me, then just ask yourself, why in the world does he have a,
Drake feature or two on every single album.
I mean, at some point, somebody just got to say.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Like, what's going on?
You know, there's other artists besides Drake, but I guess with DJ Callet, he can't find any.
As, you know, having people like Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, Nause, a lot of these critically acclaimed
artists.
And to the point where your focus on getting this Drake single made a whole trailer, did y'all
forget about that?
No way y'all forgot about that trailer.
Hold on.
quick um the DJ Calit I got two Drake features and it's gonna pop up because you know
this man was literally running his this album campaign off of that you know I got two
drakes in the can mix mastered um you know I got two Drake's two champagne poppies on my album
he called him poppy the album till next time I'm fan hug yeah um um
We still don't know who that Drake is.
But, you know, anyways, with that being said, that's the main thing I wanted to tell you out.
This man, DJ Callet, is rolling out an album for the first time without Drake.
So that's why I've read off the first week numbers for his last album, as far as God did, which is pretty impressive.
107,000.
No matter if it's the superstars all over the project, it's still DJ Callis album, they're not really going to promote it like that.
Like, you get Jay-Z just to be where all of them on one album, they're going to think they're already doing you a favor.
So it would be hard pressed to get them to even post your album.
So him doing 107,000 is not indicative of all the superstars he has on the project.
It's indicative of him, which is why he always tries to get the Drake features.
But ultimately, it'd be very interesting to see what he does without those Drake Bell features.
So that being said, click my only tree in my bio.
Let me know one of my social media is.
What do you think about DJ Callet's upcoming album?
Do you believe that he will get Drake Bell to spit some Drake and Josh bars?
Or if not, which superstar artist in the game would you like to see?
on DJ Callet's upcoming album.
