Talk about a rollout. This is ending up being one of the best albums of 2023. And not only did Onika Tanya Mirage accomplish this feat, but she did it in less than a week. Because let me tell you something, right? Besides the fact that she's given us DLC drops along with the album of the year, she's also given us additions in how much impact the fact the album is making as Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday 2 has now sold over 500,000 total units in the US but not only that Nicky Minaj Pink Friday 2 officially broke the record for the biggest debut for a female hip-hop album and Spotify history like in all of music history and musical creation on the Spotify platform Nikki Minaj had

the biggest debut for a female hip-hop album. And not only that, Pink Friday, too, broke the record not only for Spotify, but in general, when you think about 2023 as far as hip-hop, this album has broke the mold as far as hip-hop not crossing over into certain lanes, because if you don't know, So, 20203 has been a tumultuous time for hip hop as far as being a top genre consumed. And obviously, we probably have Morgan Wallin or Taylor Swift to think for that. But I'm just glad that one of our heavy hitters came out. And boy, does she come out swinging.

Because listening to this album, yes, I have currently, at this point in time, I've listened to the album at least 50 million times. And let me tell you, certain tracks off of this album. them is still to this to the upteenth degree of a display of master of master is a display in a certain way that it's a master class at its finest hopefully explain that right i'll probably butcher that but y'all get what i'm saying right queen of hip-hop nicky minage is putting out a classic and a clinic on how to not only put out a body of work, but to have it consumed in a way that people understand the lengths that you went to create this product. Because Nicky Minaj said on the first track and the last track, a lot of things that was deeply intruding into her personal thoughts that could alarm some people.

But as far as the overall body of work in the quality level, I think that maybe she was just reaching into a different place to give us a different interest. a different perspective into her life because this album i think and i'm i don't know if it's recency bias right but usually when i listen to an album i can pinpoint certain things that i like and don't like pretty quickly because i just listen to so much music this album i kid you not sounds like a classic every single time i listen to it every single time i play a different track something unique pops out to me which and turn makes me even more excited to keep listening to the album because the lyric is uh lyricists of niki menager's quality deserves replay value in a way that you're going to start to pick out different

verses melodies that's used in certain places that was really um an easter egg for this occurrence in her life and basically so many gems put into pink friday too that after listening to it i had to come to the conclusion that this may be. Now, I'm still, I'm going to do my list, of course, like I always do, as far as my year-end wrap-up of my top five albums, top five songs, rappers, but in general, let's just say this may or may not end up on my list,

and maybe will end up high on that list, as Pink Friday, too, is a master class at its finest on how to put out a great body of work. Her peers, male and female, are not really on her level. That's as blunt as I can put it. So many different tracks on here just sound like a classic

and not even to the point where I feel like I'm reaching when I say that this may be Nikki Minaj's best body of work ever. So that being said, let's get into the whole reason this segment even exists. Nicky Minaj, not only what she's not satisfied

were giving us a classic, Not only would she not satisfied with announcing a tour, basically saying and announcing the Pink Friday 2 tour, as you can see right here. But basically, Pink Friday 2 World Tour, as you see right here, she's going to a plethora of different days. I guess I could zoom in so y'all can see it. Oh, now something went wrong. My fault. Let me see if I can just bring this into another tab. I don't think that's going to work. Okay. Anyways, y'all see the dates right there. I think y'all can see that clear enough. She's going to be touring from March 1st to June 7th. So obviously she said at the end plus more dates to be added so we can't expect more days to be added.

I mean, it's pretty straightforward. But the reason why I wanted to create this segment is the fact that she wasn't satisfied or content were giving us so much quality content to consume. She is coming back yet again, but this time with the one, the only 50 cent. Now, many men have tried and many men have failed. Let me just say that. But for 50 cents to come back in the rap game for Nikki Minaj, it showcases the level of respect he has for Onika,

because if you don't remember, because I definitely do. Remember when Nas say he had 50 cent on his album, I hate to bring this up, but somebody got to do it. Because not all these artists respect each other the same, right? Nas said he had 50 Cent on this album. Y'all go listen to that 50 Cent and Nas track. Let me pinpoint it for y'all just in case y'all think I'm joking. If you go to Nas, right, and I hate to do this talk about Nas fans, but hey, 50 Cent did it first.

And then if you go to Magic 2, I want you to listen to Office Hours featuring 50 Cent that came out July 21st, 2023. So this year, right? And you listen to the track and just... Think to yourself the effort that 50 cent put forth to create that addition to that track. Let's just say that. And off of the snippet alone, because there is a snippet, I forget where he put it. I don't know if he was off of his Twitter. Obviously, I can't play it.

But, oh, okay, it is just right here. So basically New Heat, Southside, you know, the vibes part two or whatever of, that's not what he said. but it's basically addition to the the beep beep trap yeah so the beep beep is getting a remix featuring 50 cent and he said it's dropping tomorrow so basically a dlc type addition to pink friday two with 50 cent um adding his verse onto beep beep beep and the reason why i'm pointing that out is simply for the fact that not only is beep beep my one of my favorite songs at the moment is it's really so much content on this album i've really haven't pinpointed which album which track i like the most i'm leaning towards the last track but that's just as of right now but as far as replay value beep beep is

such a fire track that i was thinking to myself there's no way that she made this track that short for no reason right it has to be some reason this track is that short and now we see that 50 cent was supposed to be the addition to the track as i was wondering why the track was so short because it was such a fire and the concept of her just going and rapping and flowing over a boomback type beat, not boomback, but you know, an 808 heavy beat, that now you have 50 cents to increase the length of the track, which in turn, which will help out as far as the overall quality level of that particular track. Because no matter how good a track is, if it's only a minute and 30 seconds, it can't.

You know, I mean, I can't have it on. I can't compare it to certain other tracks that I hold to a high regard, right? So now that this is getting an extension with 50 cent being on it, I expect this to be way better than the original and not like in a old Nikki did worse on the original, just in fact that it's longer. Like that's basically pause, but that's basically how you know something is good when you want more of it, when you think it ended way too short. And Nikki's album is like an hour and 10 minutes, I think. Yeah, Nikki's album is an hour and 10 minutes, literally. So I was right with that. So basically, she gave us such high quality in such a short amount of time.

I know some people are like one hour. That's a long time. But for artists of Nikki's caliber who has so many different lanes that she can tap into, melodically, hardcore lyricism, everything. 10fold as far as performance wise samples wise hour and 10 minutes is not long when you think of that like think of your i'm not going to i'm not even going to bring them up right now let's just say quality artists make an hour runtime of music not sound long and that's the ultimate lip-mistess test for how for how good something is is if it makes you feel like it should have been

longer even though it technically is a good enough length. Dang, that's another pause. But anyways, let me wrap this up. So of course, Pink Friday 2 by Onika Tanya Mirage is a classic out the gate instant classic like literally. It's one of those things where you're going to come back to it in such a mysterious time on whether she was still on top or not. We found out that it was only a matter of time before.
