Now, even though this is Nikki Minaj's second track with Ice Spice, I have to point out the quality of lyricism that's either lost, it's gotten. Maybe she just left her duffle outside of the studio for this track. That samples the 1997 song Barbie Girl. And I don't want to hate because, you know, it's a Barbie movie. So, you know, let the girls have their fun. Why do you have to rain on someone's parade? So I'm not going to do that.

All I'm going to do is read out the first verse from Nikki Minaj. And y'all be the judge. Oneika Tanya Mirage said in verse one, if you would turn with me. Okay, you got it? All right, cool. I'm in L.A. Rodeo Drive. I'm in New York.

Madison Ave. I'm a Barbie girl. Pink Barbie dream house. The way Ken be killing, Exbit of got me yelling out like the scream house. Now I just want to ask y'all, what is that doing for you? Don't call me a hater. You know, it's just looking at this from a bird's eye view,

it just resembles the type of thing that you just throw in the dumpster. But hey, I'm not going to be the one to say it. So let's just stick to the objective facts of this track. This is Nikki O'Nika, Tanya Mirages, and Ice Spice. Second track together titled Barbie World, which, like I just said, samples the 1997 song Barbie Girl. And the song also features on the soundtrack of the upcoming Barbie movie, which stars Margaret, Margot Robbie and Ryan. Gosling. Sorry if I mispronounce those names. Not the biggest movie fan. Now, the song was released today, of course. I don't know when the movie's coming out. This is not a promo for the movie Barbie,

but you can look it up for yourself if you want to watch or see the movie. But some of the lyrics from the song is just very interesting because obviously Nikki Minaj is one of those type of rappers where you have to listen to it a plethora of times to actually get the full message. So reading out her three bars or three lines in the actual verse could be out of context when you listen to the entire track. Maybe it's supposed to be that playful vibe, don't take it too serious, just have fun type of track. And we'll have to see how that performs on the billboard charts because ultimately it's up

to the fans to decide if it's a hit or not. And don't listen to me. I'm just listening to the track from an objective standpoint because I have to say this because you know, every time I critique Onika Mirage, I don't want to bar. to come after me. I do consider myself a barb as a straight male. So there's that for you. But in general,

I feel like Nikki Minaj is one of the top 10 rappers of all time. And sometimes I feel like she tries to go for flows that's so out of the way of the beat that kind of makes you out. It takes you back to like the olden days. Like it's almost the big Sean effect of saying a line and emphasizing the punchline. Like I don't know if that makes sense. Like emphasizing the punchline to the point where it takes away from whatever you just said before.

It's kind of like are you from Detroit or New York? The distals kind of intermingles at some points. But this is not a bad Shnicki Minaj segment. I'm just pointing out an objective fact as far as how she puts her bars together and emphasizes the punch at times but ultimately i have her in my top 10 rapper list of all time so in general i think that this track would definitely do numbers i mean i'm already seeing it go up to on the charts and uh attaching ice spice along with it does not hurt as she just um decline to join the double xl freshman list and it makes sense why if you're doing multiple tracks with one of the best what the best women rapper to ever live

then I would skip out on the freshman list also because the type of cosine that Nicki Minaj is giving Ice Spice, I don't think she's ever given this type of cosign to any artist in the game. Forget male or woman, any artist in the game. I don't think she's ever giving this type of cosign. So you do what you want with that type of information. So anyways, click my link to you in my bio.
