The queen, the royal highness of hip hop, has returned with a new single titled Last Time I Saw You.
The versatility is definitely on display.
After Red Ruby on the Sleeves or Sleeve, let me make sure I get this right.
After she put out Red Ruby the Slease.
Okay, so that's how you said.
Red Ruby the Slease, right?
she came out with this Barbie World track which is if you're looking at my
analytic dreams Spotify channel for the video segment you can see Margaret
Robbie and Nicky Minaj and all the glory on a repeat video you can thank me later so
anyways reason why I have this up is because the Barbie World track with Nicky
Minaj and Ice Price and
Aqua is still number 22 on the charts.
Now, what does that mean?
That means that Nikki currently has a hit on her hands.
Because even though some of the best music I've been saying,
it's came from soundtracks,
whether we're talking about Spider-Man across the Spider-Verse,
whether we're talking about the Cree 3 soundtrack
with the J-I-D track, the J-Cole interlude,
whether we're talking about Wakanda Forever with the Rihanna track,
whether we'll talk about Avatar Way of Water with the weekend single like it's been a plethora of great fantastic music coming out of these soundtracks so the Barbie soundtrack was no uh was no different as a lot of premium acts was on that soundtrack like billy ilish duelipa nicky and even uh duelipa's tracks actually doing
well from the Barbie soundtrack but I believe
let me make sure
yeah Nikki has the biggest
track from that
Barbie album
I mean right next to her is Billy
Elish followed by Doolipa
it's funny how that works out
but yeah so anyways
I said that to say this
when Nikki put out
super freaky girl
I think that was
her highest charting track
ever because news came out that it was the first solo women rap single to go number one since
Lauren Hill now I need y'all to go look up when it's the last time Lauren Hill put out music
and you can realize how big of an accomplishment it was for Nikki to have super freaky girl
go number one so fast but when a track like that goes number one I don't know if it's like
muscle memory
but I'm always used to
or not even muscle memory but I don't know if I'm just used to history
I'm always like
an album usually comes
two to three weeks to a month at the latest
after that because to capitalize off of the singles hype
into the album right
but for Nikki
she followed it up with Red Ruby the sleeve
the sleeves which is a hit
of course I think it's a hit
and then now she has
last time I saw you, which is more of a singing, a heavy singing track, also with a verse in there of
rapping, but it's like, super freaky girl, Red Ruby the Sleeves was like hard hitting rap
verses that everybody's going to gravitate towards because Nikki's one of the best rappers of all time.
Then you come to this single, which is titled Last Time I Saw You, which is more of a singing,
like it's more of a R&B heavy track.
It's a slower, more melodic track.
The versatility is clearly on display.
So I'm interested to see how this track charts
compared to her heavy rap singles
that she's been putting out with a super freaky girl
and red Ruby the sleeves.
Now, I don't know why she would delay it,
seeing that super freaky girl was such a hit,
but fans, aka the Barbes,
which is one of the biggest core fan bases,
uh, co-like fan bases I've ever seen in life when it comes to music.
I mean, of course you have the Swifties, you have the Beehive, then you have the barbs,
like they, they up there.
So with Nikki Minaj preparing to go on tour after her album, Pink Friday 2,
obviously she won't be going on tour to like sometime in 2024, but with her giving us a release date
for October
No
For her
The original
Released date
For Pink Friday 2 was October 20th
But she delayed that
But I don't know why
Yeah
Nikki is set to
Put out her album soon
I believe
But I don't know when
I don't know when she's putting
On her album
I think she tweeted out of date
But
I don't know what that means
Like
If I go to Nikki's account
Right
It's the last thing
I'm looking up
Let me see
Nikki
Because she put out a date
I don't know if that's for her album
These rappers are professional
Liars so I just
I can't take anything at face value
Like I have to see it to believe it
She put out
She put out some numbers
I don't know if she deleted it yet
Yeah she may have deleted it
I don't know
I mean I'm not I don't really think
Nikki tweets and delete stuff
So maybe I saw it somewhere else
Anyways
Um
I think her album's coming out soon
I don't know what soon means
but
I don't think we'll have to wait
to next year to hear an album
I think it's gonna come out at some point
and with these three singles
like this could shape up to be
one of Nikki's best albums of all time
I mean she's literally calling it
Pink Friday too
and after having
her highest charting single
ever
like think of how long
Nikki Minaj has been in the
in the game for decades right
super freaky girl
was her highest charting single
ever. That happened last year. So with her new album, her upcoming album, titling that Pink Friday
2, it could shape up to be her best album of all time. And she's been in this game for decades,
which is why I wasn't hesitant to put her in my top 10 rappers of all time. I think at this
point in time, Nikki is up there with the greatest of rappers.
So I think I had Nikki at like number seven on my top 10.
Like I think she's pretty high up there as far as rapping.
And I don't think any of the other peers, if you could even call them peers in her section, is even getting close to her.
So yeah, that's basically it.
That's all I have.
Nicky Minaj, new single last time I saw you.
Like I said, it's a more melodic track produced by ATO Jacob.
A little, you know, switch up like compared.
the super freaky girl in um red ruby the sleeves so we'll see how it does on the charts but
quality wise i really i'm i'm enjoying it is it's uh it's fire so click my link to hear my bio
and let me know what you think of the track last time i saw you by niki menage uh do you think
is fire or trash
