Starting point is 00:00:00 Onika Tanya Mirage has dropped a new track. Now usually I don't do this, but this is the queen of hip hop for the past decade plus. So I have to be respectful. You got to be respectful. And I know y'all hear the applause, and that's because I'm talking about the queen. I'm not exaggerating on any stretch of the imagination. Nicky Minaj is undoubtedly the queen of hip-hop. So far, or so much so, that I had to look at my top 10
Starting point is 00:00:54 and just be disgusted with myself because I didn't have Nicky Minaj in it. So I had to put Nick Minaj in my top 10. So that's what we're at right now. I really had to look at this from a bird's eye view and just look at other people on her presentation. I don't want to say any names, but there's specific lyricists in the hip-hop game who are women or who I identify as women. And one of them in particular dropped one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time.
Starting point is 00:01:30 And I don't want to say names. I'm not trying to be disrespectful. But let me just say, Nick Minage shows what it's like to have a top. to your lyric is stay in the game of hip hop. Key word is stay and consistently give us high level bars as far as lyricism. And the keyword for that is consistently. And with those puzzle pieces, y'all should be able to put the puzzle together on who I'm talking about. I just don't want to be disrespectful.
Starting point is 00:02:11 But all I'm going to say is some people left their fans high and dry and just quit on the game. And for this woman lyricist to stay decade plus and to give us, undeniably some of the greatest bodies of work that we've ever received, obviously people aren't saying that album, albums are the highest quality when it comes from Naked Minaj compared to other male rappers, which I could definitely, you know, argue that.
Starting point is 00:02:49 But, okay, we can't let them have that. But as far as lyricism, Nikki Minaj is definitely top ten of all time. As far as her impact, her consistency, and just the way that she compares with some of these other rappers. I listen to the greats talk about Nikki Minaj and the way that she operates in the studio, and it will tell you all you need to know.
Starting point is 00:03:12 So basically, Nikki Minaj is back again with her first single titled Red Ruby De Sleeze. I know what you're saying. That is a wild title, and I know it is. But just know that this track is by far, and I mean by far the best track that has released. I will say today. What is technically, technically it's today.
Starting point is 00:03:41 Yeah, it's the best track by far that's released today. Because the versatility, the beat switch, I don't think I'm capping, You got to listen to the track. The beat switches multiple times. Not multiple, but it switches to a second version, goes back to the first version to the second version. Like, there's like two different beats going on.
Starting point is 00:04:01 Nicky Minaj changes her vocal inflection like only she can. Like, I put vocal inflection as a rapper. My top tier definitely has Nicky Minaj in it. My other two is like Little Wayne and Kendrick. But as far as vocal inflection as a rapper, I think Nick Minaj is up there as, is one of the best and she changes that throughout the track to fit each each and every beat and of course the bars are there i mean that's like the furthest thing from my mind when i'm thinking of a
Starting point is 00:04:32 niki minot's track usually when i'm thinking about a nicky minot's track i'm thinking that she's going to give us bars right but the song's structure might not be there and the replayability may not be there because sometimes when you're a lyricist you get into the bag of just trying to show case you're rapping or flexing your rapping ability and your ability to rap better than your peers by far that you forget to make a song that's enjoyable and that's replayable kind of like what the battle rappers fall into a lot of times but with niki menage of course she makes quality music so i'm not saying she can't make music i'm just saying sometimes that replayability factor is missing from nicky tracks and for this one with the beat switches with the vocal inflection matching each and
Starting point is 00:05:20 beat with the bars on 10 it's like this track is the one like I think this is the one obviously her last single was the one but I don't think she put an album behind that one so I don't know what's up with that like the track um I forget what it was it was like a sample it got nominated for a Grammy but wasn't in a hip-hop genre so Nikki Minaj got mad it was a whole or it was a whole circus with that but basically I don't think an album came behind that so if this one does well and that one does well man Imagine Nikki put in a track or an album out with those two as a single, man, it's going to go through the roof as far as sales. And then people are going to be giving Nikki her flowers when they should have been giving it all this time. So basically, you're probably wondering, what am I even talking about?
Starting point is 00:06:07 Like I said, the track from Nick Minaj read Ruby the slees. But the specific bar that I'm looking at that really stood out to me is married a shooter. Kshu experts tried to bring. breathe out loud. And he will boom your face off. Then I tell him ceasefire. Now you got to listen to the track to see how she delivers it. Obviously, it's more in line with the rhythm and the beat.
Starting point is 00:06:35 But basically, I say all that to say this. I think that Drake never had a chance, man. Looking at the selection of guys and seeing, Nicki Minaj's preference now, I have come to the realization that Drake never had a chance. Nikki Mina's really only enjoys being with non-law-abiding citizens. Now, obviously, that's not Drake. So every time Drake shot and shot at Nikki Minaj, you know, makes sense why she curved him. But anyways, yeah, so basically this track came out.
Starting point is 00:07:22 via Young Money Entertainment and Republic Records. What else? She's been teasing it for a while now with Instagram and stuff, dancing all over the place, which is another thing. Like, I don't know how old Nicki Minaj is, but man, like, she's still, I don't know what she's doing,
Starting point is 00:07:40 but she still looks like one of the best, like, just humans on the planet. Like, Nick Minaj is, though, like, even from old pictures of Nikki. Like, she was always, pretty in the face, but it was like, she's still pretty in the face. Like, it's like, you get old and it's like,
Starting point is 00:07:59 you think you're supposed to get wrinkles and, like, on your face and maybe it's start, like, she's still looking super young. It's kind of crazy. I'm not even pandering, like, bro. Like, yeah, you know what Nikki looked like. Y'all stop doing that. Like, she definitely one of the best artists that we've ever seen with the eyeballs.
Starting point is 00:08:15 I ain't going to lie to you. What else? Like, the anaconda. All right, let me chill. Let me chill. Let me chill. My fault. That's my fault.
Starting point is 00:08:21 That's my fault. That's the Aquarius coming out of me. So anyways, super freaky girl. That's what I was getting into. That was her hit last year. I think that was the biggest hit ever. Like, imagine being in a game decades plus and getting your number one hit ever at the, I'm not going to say the end of your career, but like in the later part of your career. Like that's wild.
Starting point is 00:08:49 Like, imagine grinding that long and then now you're getting it like this. Like it must feel way. more satisfying than Nikki that now that she had that number one under her belt because it was the first number one for a woman artist with no accompanying acts so solo woman artists since hmm that's funny since Lauren Hill now if you listen back to the beginning of the segment let's just say I didn't name a name for a reason the article has a name in here and I may have just said it but anyways that's besides the point so basically you know i might as well just come out say it now since this is if you stay this long i might as well say it so lauren hill she put out miseducation
Starting point is 00:09:33 came up with a hundred million reasons to why she didn't follow up miseducation and then basically quit on the game i've never seen people cope or just cop pleas for a lyricist ever in my life imagine if i mean people kill kendrick for going away for five years but we're supposed to be like oh it's okay lauren hill still one of the best rappers ever even though she left us after making one album. Like, what? Like, of course, Biggie and Tupac,
Starting point is 00:09:58 they had more albums out and they passed away, respectfully, of course. But, you know, Lauren Hill, like, what we're doing? Like, we're just quitting on the game.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Like, I don't want to call Lauren Hill the Ben Simmons of the rap game, but it's kind of like the toleration, the tolerance level
Starting point is 00:10:16 for no production must have been very high. Like, I don't understand why nobody brings that up. Because when I was doing my research and going to different documentaries, I was like, wait, so you're telling me after she made one of the best albums that one of the, that's considered one of the best hip-hop albums of all times, she just quit? Okay, well, all right, I guess this is what happened. Like, what?
Starting point is 00:10:42 Like, it makes no sense to me. So, yeah, Nikki Minaj is the queen. She stayed with us for, she stayed with us for decades plus, giving us consistent quality music. and this is no exception after coming out her coming off her most successful track of all time super freaky girl she then gave us another track which I believe could be a top 10 to top 15 billboard hit but only time will tell so click my link to my bio let me know in one of my social medias what do you think about Nikki Minaj and her dropping her second single and do you think it's fire or trash
