The Queen of Hip Hop is back at it again as she has released a remix version of FTCU.
Now, of course, since this is a PG podcast, I'll let y'all figure out what that actually means.
But the features is what's most interesting to me as Chris Brown, sexy red, and yes, ladies and gentlemen, Travis Scott is on this track.
Now, for all my barbs out there, you definitely already know the fiasco that went down between
Nikki and Travis Scott.
But for those who don't know, back, you know, we got to take a trip down memory lane.
As 2018 was one of those years as far as hip hop and great music being considered.
As Astoril came out, I think Scorpion came out, and of course, Nikki Minaj's Queen album came out.
The issue was when Asterold and Queen basically came released around the same time,
Nikki was going to be number one as far as her album.
But Astorild ended up debuting at number one.
And I felt Nikki's frustration,
but it's kind of interesting because in the league of everybody using,
certain enhancements when it comes to when it comes to analytics especially if you're under a major
label it's hard for one to point that out as Nikki definitely stated that the only reason that
Travis Scott even outsold her was because of Kylie Jenner's promotional tour now there was another
addition to that as she definitely stated how he wasn't even selling music he was selling
t-shirts socks and everything bundling the album with it so everybody knows travis guy in the industry
as far as the fashion industry goes it's definitely pivotal as far as moving the culture so if you're
going to buy some travis scott edition type clothes you may just want the shirt but now you're
bundling the album with it so his album sales were through the roof i forget the actual
first week sales but it was pretty close to the point where
That is why Nikki came out and stated this because if the competition wasn't this close in the first week sales, I don't think she would have made a big spectacle about it.
But she had a case in calling Travis Scott out.
It's just the way she went about doing.
I mean, I think even Stormy came up in her rant against Travis Scott, which at that point, it was like, it made Nikki seem crazy.
But she had a point to her overall sales.
as billboard literally went in and reached and changed the rules when it came to bundles and putting out your album and i think
is because of what travis scott did if you're famous for selling t-shirts and shoes and hoodies
obviously travis scott's also famous for music but in a fashion sense if you're selling a shirt
you bundle an album with everything as far as your apparel on your website and account
towards your music sales I can see when Nikki has some type of issue with that but in a
world once again where every musician is using major label tricks to enhance the numbers I don't
know if Nikki can actually call that out is kind of interesting and I would say a little hypocritical
to call that out in that sense so for all my barbs y'all definitely know that seeing Travis Scott
on this FTCU remix was definitely a surprise as I had no idea that they've made up but I guess
after the drama between those two when it came to Asterold and Queen they have eventually
you know made up essentially so with that being said of course Nicky Minaj is one of those to
where she's still charting for her album Pink Friday too which I still to this day believe is
Nicky Minaj's best body of work and the tracks that are still on the charts as far as the top
100 is considered is everybody which has been on the charts for about 18 weeks I believe
it has been on the charts for about 18 weeks peaked at number 24 and it is currently at number 69
so 18 weeks on the charts is definitely something of a um stack
to notice as Nikki is one of those to where I'm not going to say her music isn't
lasting because of course she's the queen of hip-hop for a reason she definitely has the
biggest fan base when it comes to the women's side of hip-hop but as far as the long-lasting
tracks I think Pink Friday too has a claim to be one of her more successful albums of all
time so anyways FTCU the original version is still in the top of 100 as is at is at 79 with
it also being on the charts for 18 weeks it peaked at number 15 and last week it was at 88 so with
this remix coming out inherently those numbers are going to go up and I do believe the remix
version will end up debut debuting higher than the FTCU track which that debuted at 15 simply
for the fact that you have a lot of fan bases coming together of course sexy red Travis got
Chris Brown, all their fan base is coming together. Of course, the Barb's listening to this track
for the first time. I think it's going to explode on the charts in a way that it will, I don't know
if it will debut high because Taylor Swift's album is probably going to take up like the top 31 spots
or something crazy like that because she just put out an album with 31 projects on it, which
we'll get to that in a second. But Minaj and Brown always had a history of collaborating. So
It wasn't out of the norm to see him be on her album, which the sexy red part is definitely surprising as I'm not going to say that she's backed by specific artists.
But let's just say, you know, when you put out music, there's competition in every genre, right?
if the biggest artist from one of the genres starts to take you under the wing to the point
where it's just continuously promoting you, I would think they have some type of hand
in whatever you're earning when it comes through revenue.
That is just my theory.
So as far as I'm not talking about Nikki.
Obviously, I'm talking about Drake.
And talking about Drake, there was a rumor that Nikki and Drake would beefing because she was
having trouble on the border or whatever.
But basically, she kind of.
cleared it up making sure that people knew that it was not beef with drake as she kind of came out
and said that drake um made some calls for her and that he was attending her show so that's interesting
in itself because she talked about going to canada and not really having um the same experience that
she's used to having and everybody just attributed that towards drake acting funny because of the
whole beef uh fiasco that's going on right now people just think Drake is
out here doing everybody wrong so drake clear that up and at the end of day there are not beefy but
ultimately this new remix version is interesting because she calls it to sleeves mix which i would think
that a lot of other tracks off of pink friday two would end up getting remix so it's interesting
that this is um i don't know if this is the first remix i think it's i think it is the first
I forget how many remixes she actually has out.
Hold on let me go to it.
Because I think Nikki, I think this is the first remix from Pink Friday, too.
You have FTCU to Slease remix.
Gag City, I don't count because there's a whole new tracks that are adding to the album.
Yeah, that's the first remix.
Okay, I thought that was the first one.
Yeah, so that's the first remix.
Obviously, Gag City came out.
earlier this year and the whole gag city edition being a part of pink friday two has just even
enhanced the project to the point where now it's like undeniable that pink friday two to in my opinion
is niki menage's best album i mean look at her status on tour currently in the way that people
are coming out and droves to support here has always been like that but now when you have albums
well now that you have an album that people believe is your best body of work i think they're more enticed
to come see you live and from all intents and purposes let me tell you from what i've seen
a niquin minage live show is definitely uh getting well you're definitely getting your money's worth
as a fan so with that being said click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social medias
what do you think about f tc u the slees mix featuring Travis scott christ brown and sexy red and also
So who do you think had a better performance on the track between Travis Scott, Chris Brown, and Sexy Red?
