Now like the great DJ Calais said, another one.
As Nintendo Direct came back with some major announcements
to capitalize off of the summer games hype from the Summer Games Fest,
Xbox Games Showcase, and of course the Ubisoft Ford.
So the follow up with that,
seeing that PlayStation is nowhere to be found,
Nintendo Direct has came and announced some of their Mesauching,
projects that they've been working on in the previous years as the biggest games
that they announced was Mario and Luigi Brothership the legend of Zelda
echoes of wisdom Metroid Prime 4 beyond and of course a plethora of other
games so the biggest thing I can get into is release days because if you are
Nintendo avid gamer then you probably know that when it comes to Mario
It holds a special place in my heart and should hold a special place in every gamer's heart,
which if you don't know, Mario is the reason the gaming industry, I'm talking about the industry as a whole,
is where it's at in general. Like Mario, which came out in 1985, revolutionized the whole gaming industry
because of its mechanics, level design, as a platformer, started off as a platformer,
which it technically is still a platformer,
but you know,
they've been doing Mario,
they've been having Mario do everything known to man,
which I'm not mad at because of what I'm about to get into.
It paved the way for countless platforming titles,
and I could say that every platform game draws from the Super Mario formula.
Every platform game,
I could say draws from the Super Mario formula.
Like,
that's how pivotal Mario is as far as what it did for,
gaming so every platforming and when I say platforming I'm talking about when you're transverse in the
environment and let's say you hop on the rock or if you swing from a pole to another area like
stuff like that like any platform you you tilt one thing so that something else comes up and maybe
you can access a new pathway any type of mechanic when it comes to transverse in the environment
I'm not going to say it's just completely ripping off Mario,
but Mario is the main baseline inspiration for every platforming game.
Let me just put it like that.
So his presence among Nintendo is very pivotal in keeping Nintendo's status up there
with the greatest, like a Xbox, like a PlayStation PC, things of that.
nature because Nintendo's Mario exclusivity is something that's very crucial in the game plan of Nintendo.
Like whenever Mario comes out is a big deal for Nintendo because it's the flagship.
It's Nintendo's flagship.
Some may say he's Zelda, but we all know that Mario is the flagship character for Nintendo
and it's synonymous for everything Nintendo puts out.
So anyways, enough of me just fanboying over Mario.
Let's get back into actual release dates from the Nintendo conference.
As we had, Luigi's Mansion 2 is coming out June 27th, 2024.
And mind you, most of these games that was announced, if not all of them, are coming out this year, except for a few games.
Darkest Dungeon 2 is releasing July 15th, 2024.
Super Mario Party
Jambrey, which I saw the trailer for that one,
that looked insane
to say the least because
having 20 playable characters in a
Mario Party format, I just don't know
how in the world that's going to work.
Obviously, it would have to be online.
It's going to be no way you can have
just 20 people local co-op.
And if you don't know what local co-op is, it's when
you can play with two or more players
on the same screen and you don't need like
another console, which is
a foreign concept nowadays because
of technology allows for more capabilities when it comes to the online format because back in the day
the only way you could really play co-op with your friends is if you was in the same room playing on
the same console on the same tv with the evolution of technology you would be hard pressed to find
any game that still offers those that level of local co-op everything is have your own console
player on your own TV now. So,
Super Mario Party Jamboree is coming out October 7th,
2024. Donkey Kong Country Returns is coming out January 16th,
2025, and then the late great Amongas, which, you know,
technically Amongas didn't pass away, but boys are not at the height it used to be.
But it's okay, because a lot of games go through that. But anyways,
It's coming out with new roles added, which is available now.
So if you play Amongus, you probably already know that as far as the update, as it added new roles.
And what do those consist of?
I have no idea.
I just know it added new roles.
You have to play the game to find out.
Then one of the biggest things that Nintendo is known for, which is its sports in its own,
its own version of putting out different sports through his platform as Nintendo Switch Sports
has a basketball update coming out summer well it is summer so it's coming out soon
then you have the Nintendo Switch online which has new games including the legend of Zelda
a link to the past four swords and Metroid Zero mission so
that is for the Nintendo Switch. That's what I was just saying. The Amongas News, the Nintendo Switch
Sports, and the Nintendo Switch Online, which it has it in the name. So hopefully, you know,
you got that the first time. All right. So Nintendo Switch Light has the High Rule Edition,
gold with black accents featuring Zelda symbols. And then you can have a bundled
with a 12-month Nintendo Switch online subscription. And the release date is September 26.
26, 24, alongside the Legend of Zelda, echoes of wisdom.
So it's going to be a whole new system, which is the new, uh, the new Nintendo Switch
light. Somehow, some way, Nintendo finds a way to get people to buy, uh, inferior
hardware specs and they just call it something else. So Nintendo Switch light is literally,
uh, watered down version of a Nintendo Switch, which is,
like a four or five plus year old hardware at this point and guess what people still going to buy it
so that's one of the biggest things when it comes to nintendo's return on investment the model
has always been to keep the graphics at a certain level so that way when they put out consoles
they don't put out they don't put out consoles at a loss because if you don't know playstations
Xbox they're all put out at a loss because the companies never get their return well i'm not
going to say never, but more times than not, companies are losing a lot of money putting out consoles
simply for the fact that the production costs are never recouped on the gaming, because the
gaming front is given to the developers and things of that nature, and the splits are not enough
to recoup on a production to put out a whole entire console. But the flip side of that,
because you're probably wondering, why do they keep putting out new consoles in? Because
PC is a
hardware that
constantly involves so you're going to get
to a point where a console needs to be
upgraded to keep up with PC
or people would just all switch
to PC and stop playing consoles
so it's a never-ending battle
of trying to keep up with PC specs
with a set
hardware
which is a PS4 or PS5
because it's not as easy to upgrade that
like it is a PC
but Nintendo has took the opposite approach downgrade the graphics downgrade the hardware and make
people just live with it and guess what boy all they living with it so anyways um no console up
well no hardware upgrade for the nintendo switch but guess what you can you can buy a watered
down version um september 26 so if that you know flows your boat hey man teach his own so what else
Did I miss any other games?
I mean, Hello Kitty.
If that's, you know, if that's what y'all like.
That's coming out 2025.
Oh, I almost forgot.
Marvel versus Capcom.
I don't know how I forgot that.
One of the more pivotal games in my upbringing as a child.
Marvel versus Capcom has a whole collection coming out.
And boy, am I excited.
Not to buy it, but to watch people play it.
I know that it may sound weird, but as are some of my true gamers out there,
y'all know what I'm saying.
Like, you can't purchase every game in the world.
Like, we ain't bawling like that.
but the whole collection i would like to see like somebody play like probably like maximilian or somebody
but having it all in one package is very um pivotal for longstanding marvel versus capcom fans because
guess what seven classic games all in one is insane and oh analytic dreams video on spot
to see the video with the audio because i'm currently playing well no they currently have
the gameplay up here which is funny timing but yeah so all of the marvel versus capcom um collections
is going to be in one and let me see dragon quest three uh fantasia fairy tale two i mean i'll watch
the conference for yourself i'm just naming games just so you know what uh some of the top hitters
top top top hits were for this showcase nintendo world champions nes edition that's pretty
cool speed running challenges that's coming out july
18th and the reason why I'm talking about certain like Nintendo specific games because you're
probably wondering why are you talking about that like who cares about a console specific sports
game real gamers know that when Nintendo Wii sports came out it changed the whole gaming
industry like mom and grandma who never even got into games was wanted to play uh tennis
was wanting to play bowling like it really turned into a family console which Nintendo's always
been family friendly but you know the we sports just took it to a whole other level of getting everybody
from across the spectrum of ages involved on one console so with that being said um that is all i have
for the nintendo direct i wanted to touch on it because i did it in my episode because of course
this conference came out after i finished my whole entire episode of covering um um um
ubsaw forward covering xbox game showcase covering summer game fest so if you want to uh look that
up just notorious mass effect 138 and it should definitely pop up but um let me see let me type it in myself
notorious mass effect which i didn't know people was having trouble spelling it i thought was pretty
straightforward but i guess not so yeah it pops up notorious mass effect 138 and then the episode should pop up
or you may be able to type in analytic dreams 138 and yeah it would still pop up so that's when i got into all the
game showcased and more highlighted some of the more pivotal games that went on as far as
well you just have to watch the episode but i got into a lot star wars uh assassins cree
call the duty doom like i got into a lot so anyways yeah look that up if you want to hear me
talk about all the other conferences that went on uh preceding this one but as far as nintendo direct
click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about this
conference and as far as Nintendo direct and the way they're going about the hardware and not
really wanting to upgrade it are you okay with that or would you want to see a new switch
console in the near future and also of course regarding the games which game
interested you piqued your interest the most throughout this conference
