I find it very interesting, right?
That everybody pays attention to some of the theatrical releases from Offset.
But when it comes to music, nobody listens to it.
Now, I'm not saying that as an Offset fan, because I don't care.
My goat hasn't fell off.
Literally, two of his tracks from the same album as battling it out for number one as we speak.
With that being said, Offset, on the other hand, is shaping up to be.
one of the most monumental flops in 2023. I don't think this would be worse. Actually, this would
definitely be worse than what Doja Cat did because at least in some aspect, she was impacting
the charts on the global scale. But offset, the marketing tactic that he's been using,
specifically with a lot of videos, a lot of interviews
with every platform, Breakfast Club, Hot 97,
Bobby Althoff, doing a 24-hour stream with Kai.
And all of these features off of his album,
and I'm specifically focusing on this track
with Offsen Don Tolliver,
because Don Tolliver just finished selling 36,000
first week this year with his album Love Sick.
to put that in perspective,
Yeat did 70,000 first week
and people say he's still independent.
So
there may be a false correlation to some,
but I think people are pulling out from offset
and the only ones that he really has
as far as features on the album
is people that really mess with him
because from a business side,
nobody's really trying to feature on this album.
I mean, no disrespect.
but he has Chloe and Mango Food on this album.
He has Chloe and Mango Food as features on this album.
And I know what y'all saying.
Oh, but he also has Travis Scott on his album.
Well, tell me why that album or that track was actually a single
and fell off the face of the earth, nowhere to be found on the charts, right?
Single with Cardi B.
I don't want to reiterate these talking points because I'm not hating an offset.
I'm just pointing this out because I'm not like disappointed or anything,
but it's very interesting how the day the whole oh marketing rollouts are dead nobody does them anymore
I wish more artists would do marketing rollouts offset does one and nobody pays attention to his music
so I'm just pointing out how people don't know what they want right you got to do what the numbers tell
you is the best to do with offset obviously these interviews are not a recoup on investment of your time
because you're not getting any type of music sales
from these type of interviews
and live streams that you're popping up to.
So at the end of day,
if Offset ends up flopping,
I think it's gonna be very,
we're gonna have a real conversation on him
leaving Amigos
and then eventually just destroying his career
because at this point, it's looking very, very bad for Offset.
Like, y'all thought Knows and Little Wayne
didn't sell a lot.
Like, if you don't know,
Little Wayne dropped the album like two weeks ago.
you probably didn't know that right because it's sold like less than 17,000 first week
if offset does less than 20,000 first week which you know I'm not trying to say he will but
it's shaping up to be that type of type of debut it's gonna be monumental because people are going
to still gravitate towards offset for his personality but may get into the same likes of
a Christian rock in the blue face simply for the fact that people like their personality his personality
more than they pay attention to his music.
And for that, if this album,
if this album flops like the way I think it's going to do,
you can see, I can see a monumental pivot for offset,
trying to get more into acting and just other parts,
maybe dancing.
I'm being so serious.
Like, the sales is not matching up to the marketing strategy.
The marketing strategy for this album has been A1,
top-notch, 10-10.
It's not translating into sales.
at this point
I'm not going to say give up
but this solo career may not be for you
like
it may not be for you and that's okay
you know maybe you get back with
Quavo because even though he had
a tremendous album he only sold
like 36,000 37,000
first week he didn't sell a lot either
and obviously that's a lot to an independent artist
but for people on major labels like
offsets on UMG which is the biggest
major label in the world mind you
which is why this is why this
marketing strategy is looking the way it does. Quavo, who's on Atlantic, so and P from QC loves
Cuevo, so of course they're going to make his marketing rollout look like he did, and it was fantastic.
It's just not matching and translating into sales. And I think we're getting to the ultimate
conclusion that Migos was better off as a group, because independently, sales-wise, not talking
from a quality standpoint talking from sales wise it's not looking like solo wise they can stand on the
own and for that that's unfortunate because i like offset amic in quavo and obviously amigos you know rp to
take off but um they just can't stand on the own statistically speaking so we're going to see what he
does after this and hopefully i'm wrong hopefully ends up selling a lot first week but it's not looking good
is looking actually pretty bad like but we're going to see when it eventually comes out so anyways
click my link to my bio let me know in one of my social medias what do you think about offsets track
worth it featuring don tolliver and as far as my sentiments on his overall stance in the hip-hop game
do you think that if he ends up flopping that he should just transition completely from music
