Starting point is 00:00:00 First off, shameless plug, analytic dreams video on my Spotify channel to watch the video version along with the audio. Because if you're over there right now, you're probably wondering, who in the world do you have on my screen right now? Well, very interesting, you might ask, you know, very interesting. As all I got to say is, Sleepy Joe will not stand for this as putting into place the Rescue Act Plan March 11th, 2021 and people still not feeling
Starting point is 00:00:45 like they've been rescued. So where does that leave us? With the likes of Oliver Anthony and his chart-topping music with Richman north of Richmond, which is not
Starting point is 00:01:01 Number one on the U.S. charts, I might add, and it's been there for two weeks. Also, the song, which is why I brought in a little bit of politic information, because this is not a politics channel, of course. But this song has been politicized to the point where it's been featured on Republican presidential debates and garnered a lot of support from consulnered. conservatives simply for the fact that the song criticizes lawmakers, misuse of tax dollars, and dead-end jobs. Now, in the politics games, in a politics game, I've learned that no matter what you say, your can't, your words can and will be used against you, manipulated against you, and just straight up, lies would be told against you.
Starting point is 00:02:06 So that's what Oliver Anthony is particularly facing right now. If you don't know who he is, he's a person out of the woods of Virginia. Literally, that's what it says. If we go to any DSP, all is going to say is Oliver Anthony music. It's not even like, I don't know who is his PR team.
Starting point is 00:02:24 He may have to fire them. I feel like he don't even have a PR team looking at the landscape of things. But he has 6.4 monthly listeners. So he definitely has a following. And he has an email. You know, if you want to reach out to him, give him some kind sentiments, let him know that, you know, there's people out there that doesn't take every word that the news outlets say at faith value. And just let him know that there's people who is in this corner, whether he likes it or not.
Starting point is 00:02:55 I just like because in general, literally his description says, I'm happy you're here. I spent my free time, this is from Anthony, quote, I'm happy you're here. I spend my free time writing songs and pursuing an off-grid life on 90 acres in the woods of Virginia. Lord willing, this is just the beginning. Please email me at Oliver Anthony Music at gmail.com. So that's why I said that. But anyways, let's get back into the information. So the song saw a 31% increase in.
Starting point is 00:03:30 streams with 22.9, so basically 23 million impressions and 117,000 downloads in just last week. Let me tell you, if those is not running up the numbers, if that's not running up the numbers, I don't know what it is, because Anthony seems like he just came out of nowhere, whereas nowadays, you can't get away from them. I mean, the song is on various music charts, including the hot country songs, digital song, sales streaming songs um oliver is the first artist in history to debut a song a new song in the top spot on hot 100 without reach the charts elsewhere so what that says to me is this man is completely independent if you go to his music right it literally says Oliver anthony music slash
Starting point is 00:04:20 radio wv which is just a distribution so you can get on different DSP platforms like for me With notorious mass effect, Red Circle is my distribution unit, like my tool. So that sounds bad like a tool. But anyways, Red Circle is like my hosting platform that gets me out to different platforms. So I'm still independent, but I do have somebody that helps me get on these different platforms. That's simply what Oliver Anthony is doing with Radio WV. So he's strictly independent. One of the first artists ever.
Starting point is 00:04:57 No, he is. the first artist in history to debut a new song in the top spot on the hot 100 without having reached the charts elsewhere and so like i said he's from virginia of course got his big received earned his big break through the track rich man north of richmond which is that's a fire title i'm not going to lie to you i've listened to a little bit of this music obviously this video i have up right now especially just so you could put a face to who I'm talking about. But if you look at the bottom left, that's his YouTube channel. So if you want to check out his music, I've listened to a little bit of it.
Starting point is 00:05:37 I'm not a huge country guy myself, but listening to Anthony, first thing that jumps out is this man is vocally gifted. Like the way he sings is, you know, sometimes with country artists, they have a very unique tone and vocal inflection that they use, right? For Anthony, that's a similar case. Like, you get that vocal inflection that you're used to getting for most popular country singers. So I can see how he blew up because that nostalgia-like cadence that he has is straightfire, especially when he's putting out the genre that blends beautifully and seamlessly
Starting point is 00:06:19 with the way that his vocal inflection is set up. So hopefully that makes sense for y'all. But anyways, at the end of the day, of course, this man is being politicized. size because of the heavy the heavy subject matter or just really just the content the heavy content that's in this track and it's not just surface level song making which a lot of hip hop artists get accused of doing over and over again but with anthony he's put so much substance heavy that's what I meant. So heavy substance in his music talking about poverty, talking about tax, inflation, but at the end of the day, he says he doesn't want to be used as a political statement and
Starting point is 00:07:10 clarifies that it is not a political allegiance. He's just putting out these songs with heavy substance simply because that's how he is creatively. And he expresses frustration, especially in this video right here that I have up. Once again, shameless plug, NLAB dreams video on my Spotify channel. And He said that both, so both sides of the politics spectrum is trying to claim him for the agendas, but he's not with any political allegiance. So anyways, of course, the song has been positively received on the global scale. And, you know, the people that he's singing about in these songs, I'm pretty sure at some point in time, they're going to try to sit down with him, give him some type of interview. and you're going to see this man just straight up like he's going to get um attack verbally
Starting point is 00:08:09 on one of these uh sites if he chooses to do interviews with him hopefully if he does choose to do an interview is not with some of the likes of uh i don't know like i said it's not a political channel but i'm just going to say hopefully he he knows what he's going into for each and every interview that's what I would say because with this type of subject matter and with the people championing him the way that they are because it's never the artist that blows himself up. It's always the people. So the people chose Oliver Anthony for this message. So best believe he's going to have some powerful people come attack him. And that's what I'm saying. Hopefully he puts more research into the certain outlets that he should do to get his message out correctly and unaffected
Starting point is 00:08:56 to the masses. So anyways, um, Click my link tree in my bio. Let me know in one of my social medias. What do you think about Oliver, Anthony, in general? Have you heard his tracks? Have you heard Richmond, Northwood Richmond? And if you have, what is the overall message that you think Oliver is trying to portray? And what is your favorite track by Anthony, if you're an avid listener?
