Starting point is 00:00:00 Did you know that Olivia Rodrigo was in high school musical, the musical, the series? Now, I'm not talking about the original high school musical in 2006. I'm talking about the continuation of that series, and they went and titled it, High School Musical, The Musical, The Series. literally that is the name of the show and for everybody who's been watching the show and is severely disappointed with me not knowing anything about this show
Starting point is 00:00:36 just let me know no I'm letting you know that's going to be okay because I came here to talk about music little did I know Olivia started off as a main character for high school musical man if only Vanessa Hudgens
Starting point is 00:00:56 would have had a career real like that because i ain't going to lie to you Vanessa hudges had everything lined up for her to have a pop star type of run if the music was even mediocre i don't know if she ever put out a track and if she did probably wasn't good but anyways
Starting point is 00:01:13 uh today we're here to talk about of course the new single that's coming to your DSPs I was trying to find the title of the track that was called bad idea oh you can see it on the screen if uh name, let's plug, Analytic Dreams video for the video elements of the podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:34 But anyways, Olivia Rodriguez announced her upcoming single, Bad Idea on Twitter. She said the song will be released July 15th, 20, 23. Also, she described the song as a more vulnerable and personal side of her music. She said that's about making a, she says it's about, quote, this is her words making a mistake and knowing that it's a mistake but doing it anyway Rodrigo also said that she for all the downhard fans out there for high school musical the musical the series what an atrocious name but anyways for all of the fans out there for that particular series Rodrigo had to come out and let y'all know that she would not be
Starting point is 00:02:28 returning for the series finale. Now sometimes in life, you know, you get disappointed. You know what I'm saying? Now everything can go your way. And for the people whose heart is broken by this announcement, I just got to let you know. Mission failed. We'll get them next time. Because don't nobody care about whatever she's talking about with the high school musical.
Starting point is 00:02:59 We're here for them. music. I don't know what type of Ariana Grande transition from Victoria's type of run. Olivia Rodriguez has hidden from me, but I had no idea that she started off in the Disneyland of shows only to become a pop star, which is very interesting in itself. So also, I wanted to get more into that. I thought that was severely left out of her story, but maybe I'm just not up to date with Olivia because I've always focused on the music. Little did I know, she had an Ariana Grande type of origin story. So she also proclaimed that this album will be more mature and personal than her debut album Sauer,
Starting point is 00:03:43 because she's currently working on a second album for what this single is, you know, promoting for those who was, you know, confused. Anyways, so she started off as a Disney Plus original series star and transition. into one of the biggest pop stars in music. It's honestly, it's very interesting how this is happening because she literally launched her music career off of being on a Disney show. Now, if this is not the 15th time, 15th million time I've seen this, I mean, from Demi Lovato, from Selena Gomez, from Ariana Grande, and this is all off the top.
Starting point is 00:04:26 I don't even watch all the Disney shows. Like, the way that. they manufacture these artists, major labels may need to start going to Disney and say, hey, can you put one of my up-and-coming artists in your TV show? Because this is ridiculous. I'm not going to you. But anyways, she released a debut single driver's license in January 2021. And it became a worldwide hit. And then, since then, she had deja vu and good for you, which has also been successful. And another thing with her being in the show, I'm going to keep coming back to this, because this is very interesting to me. The way that she keeps putting out this music, it's like the women
Starting point is 00:05:03 version of music you will listen to when you're about to commit an act that may or may not be law-abiding. Now, I'm going to let y'all take that. Think about that a little bit so you know what I'm referring to. I just don't want to trigger nobody. But the type of music, Olivia Rodriguez puts out as far as specifically driver's license, should be locked up in in Arkham Asylum. I'm talking about the fictional place with superheroes protecting the premises because I'm not lying to you.
Starting point is 00:05:36 That track brings the worst out of women and don't ask me how I know. So anyways, click my link tree in my bio. Let me know in one of my social medias. What do you think about Olivia Rodriguez and her announcing her new single titled Bad Idea
Starting point is 00:05:51 right with the question mark? And what you'd be listening to it with it eventually drops on all DSPs this Friday.
