Starting point is 00:00:03 When it comes to Omar, that specific name after looking up Camacho and realizing I've covered him for his specific track 2 plus 2, which currently is still the ninth most played track in Mexico. But with that out the way, obviously we're getting into his latest track titled 3am with Jimmy Guzman. But before we get into the rest of that specific track, I did want to talk about the overall cultural aspect of the Omar name, right? because there's a lot of different Mexican artists with the name Omar before it. So here I am, ignorantly thinking maybe that's just the trend in Mexican music, sort of like the little trend is in hip hop. But lo and behold, because of some little research, you know what I'm saying? Omar, I came to found out it is a Mexican cultural, cultural type of name of Arabic origin,
Starting point is 00:01:00 meaning flourish or long-lived in inter-spanish-speaking regions during the Moorish rule of Spain from 712 to year 1492 don't tell don't let nobody ever tell you that you don't learn random fun facts over here notorious mass effects so with that being said you know there's a lot of different Mexican artists with Omar in front of it but now you know why so it's not like the little train in hip-hop Omar is more traditionally um more traditionally a part of the culture as far as the historical and cultural roots compared to little which is just like overall prefix for a lot of different names in in hip hop so it's a huge difference but anyways with that being said the reason why i bring that trap element and the hip hop element up when talking about names in front of artist stage name is because of the influence of trap in omar camacho's music to the point where three a m also This is obviously regatone with trap elements. So now when you come into this landscape of being able to blend the genre seamlessly to the point where a lot of people are gravitating towards it, you start to realize why is growing, why it's growing and getting a lot of traction in the Latin music circle.
Starting point is 00:02:20 So if you don't know, this specific track as far as 3 a.m., this was released July 31st. And of course, it grew legs and started to climb up the charts in Mexico specifically, as I just said, that's the 24th most played track in Mexico. But that's not the only thing. As when it comes to Omar Camacho, there was something else I was wanting to get into. So it's very interesting how he has specific tracks climbing the charts. But yet, when I look at his release strategy as far as the backing, right? It just says Lumbrae music. So with that being said, I wanted to look that out.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Let me see, music label. So it makes me think that he's independent. If he's doing all of this independent, that's a huge feat, especially for independent acts. Because if you don't know, as far as overall globally, it's the lowest has ever been as far as independent acts and small subsidiary because UMG has 60% of the entire music market share. Warner Music Group has 20% of the entire music market share.
Starting point is 00:03:25 Sony has 19% and then the others, which is smaller labels and independent acts, all add up to a whopping 2% in the entire music industry. So now looking at that and realizing that Omar is technically under Lombray music that was founded in 2019 by Ramon Ruiz and Alex Guerrera. Yeah, Guerrera. I think that's how he said. And it's a Los Angeles-based independent labels specializing in regional Mexican music. You're starting to see a lot of these specialization type of names attached to a Warner, UMG, a Warn, and Sony. And sometimes you see a Sony Latin, a UMG Latin, a Warner Latin, like those whole teams that's now branching out of the
Starting point is 00:04:15 normal genres that you would see percolating throughout the charts and now starting to go to Latin, artists for the simple fact that they are really impactivate and captivating the masses in a way that we haven't seen before and to add on to that point august 23rd as far as future chart predictions has the first track that i've seen you know besides the bad bunny percolating in the top 60 as you have nathanel cano and gavito balestei with their track purlas negress which i believe is uh translates to black pearls because i remember i cover that track so what that being said specifically you come to show you come to realize that they are making a massive impact in 2025 and it goes to show the evolution of technology because now people who otherwise
Starting point is 00:05:05 wouldn't have had the capabilities technologically speaking to listen to these artists now they can so the palette has been expanded to the point where now they're listening to an omar camacho on a regular basis now they're listening to a not then they'll can on a regular basis now they're listening to a jenny from black pink on a regular occasion like it's really something of a new regime as far as the the competitive landscape in the music industry so that's why over here at notorious mass effect we get into a lot of different genres to showcase overall everybody is competing with one another and who's actually notoriously impacting the masses so that being said with omar camacho and his track three a m being the 24th most played track in mexico and obviously his
Starting point is 00:05:51 best performing track still as far as the two plus two track with victor mandeval make sure to check that out is out now on all ds and with that being said click my link to my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about the track 3 a.m by jimmy guzman and omar camacho and also what do you think about the current landscape of the music industry now that a lot of other genres are starting to get more shine in the industry because of the internet
