Starting point is 00:00:03 Diving back into Oscar May Done's album, RICO O. Moreto, Volume 1, that of course was released about a week or two ago as far as it coming out June 6, 2025. Now, of course, the reason why I was wanting to cover this album is because I've covered Oscar May Don extensively throughout the lifespan of this podcast. But for this specific album, I did want to give an overview as far as what it performed in the following week. As with this being out for two weeks, just know that its first week it did sell 13,000 units first week. Now, at first, you're probably thinking, but that's not a lot compared to the people we usually cover on a notorious mass effect. Well, there's a reason for that as far as my sense of coverage of Oscar Medeone, because of course, getting into the Latin community, as far as the music industry, is not only on a worldwide scale, but it's also regional. So when you look at the Mexican tribe specifically, Oscar Maidone has six tracks in the top 31 in Mexico specifically.
Starting point is 00:01:12 So sometimes when you look at something regional and you look at something worldwide, the track may not be as popular worldwide than it is in their specific region, which may be confusing for some because you're probably thinking to yourself. Well, if 80 million people like this track, how come it's not more popular in their specific region? Well, maybe those people in their specific region would only prefer to listen to another artist's track rather than what the world is listened to, which is in the case for Oscar Medvedon, Mexico really messes with his music and they prefer his over some of the more commercialized acts in the game. So for this particular album, it did sell 13,000 in first week, but it does have a lot of tracks, a lot of tracks six to be specific as far as in Mexico specifically in the top 30. So that being said, Zaza is also the 31st most played track in Mexico. And that's why I was wanting to focus on specifically.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Because if you didn't know, that was the last track off of this album. And it covers somebody else I've covered extensively as far as Victor Mandevo. As if you don't know, the Triple Lovada remix, I covered that in this entire. So if you type in Triple Lovata Analytic Dreams with a Z, it should pop up. But me covering Oscar Madoan and Victor Mandevo with yet. another affecting of the masses type of track and putting it at the end basically to showcase that he really put a lot of credence into this track because if you don't know for artists usually the way you start off your album and the way you end off your album is very important as far as
Starting point is 00:02:46 the grand scheme of things now of course if you're just going for numbers i guess it doesn't matter as much but the first to last track no the first and last track is the most important in my opinion for an album because that basically sets the tone or it leaves you off on a high note. So anyways, overall, this man is doing phenomenal on the charts when it comes to his album since it being released in June 6th. It went number 6 on top Latin albums, went number 3 in top regional Mexican albums, went number 89 on the Billboard 200. and then as far as the first week sales like I said it sold 13,000 first week but it did do 18 million official streams so some independent acts out there may not realize how hard it is just to get over that 10,000 album units metric
Starting point is 00:03:39 the streams to units like I always say around 14 to 1,500 streams to even equal one album unit So if you have 18 million streams And now you have 13,000 equivalent units That should give you an indication on how hard it is To sell just one of something Especially in the music industry Where everything's just downgraded And you pay one subscription price
Starting point is 00:04:04 And get the whole library Which some artists will call Stilton But you know, that's a discussion for another day So anyways, getting an Oscar made known That's basically it for her Zaza track Off of his album, RICO Omerthe Volume 1 it's the last track on there it definitely ends you off on a high note and it's helping drive a lot of
Starting point is 00:04:24 the sales for rico omerta as that's one of the more popular worldwide tracks not only just in mexico so um just know it's out on all dsps whether it's spotify apple music youtube even shazam right and i'm not talking about dc so anyways um this album is 12 tracks 40 minutes in lint so as far as listening to this album in its entirety is definitely not a long listen, but it's definitely a worthy listen as Oscar May Don has been putting out some high quality for quite some time when he's back again with his latest album, Rico O'Mereto, Volume 1. But that being said, click my link to you in my bio. Let me know in one of my social medias.
Starting point is 00:05:05 What do you think about his album, Rico Omerito Volume 1? And also, what is your favorite track if you listen to this album? And if you haven't listened to it, will you be willing to give this album a listen? Thank you.
