Starting point is 00:00:03 Now of course when diving into the Latin community and especially the artists that they have in the midst of a phenomenal 2025 to the point where I would say what Nate and Vega, what Reza Regina and especially Bad Bunny, what they've been doing especially for the Caritos tombados genre is exceptional, especially when crossing over into the mainstream because of course when it comes. to specifically Mexico in their favorite tracks you already know as far as the notorious mass effect we dive into that extensively and this is no different as when it comes to panther bellico whose real name is Jose Ernesto muela hopefully I'm saying that right his track El Primero is well actually his most popular track in Mexico is law pantora and I believe if i've already covered that in general no that's uh that's marcos villa lobo's track and i've already covered that one but as far as panther i don't think i've ever covered him before let me see panther oh i did okay so back in august 29th 2023 goodness talk about longevity in the game
Starting point is 00:01:21 but then you know what's saying i'm like 10 look at the state of hip-hop like what's going on my father's only two years but you know we're still grinding you know i'm saying on on the road to uh wherever we're at where we at right now uh on the road to whenever that oh on the road to 12 million you feel me anyways getting back to this so panther bellico has a current track out titled l premero and it was on the uh mexico charts i don't think it's okay here this it's the 41st most played track in mexico currently now when it comes to the overall analytics and especially what we cover here at notorious mass effect we're always trying to pinpoint and highlight the artist that are making pun intended a notorious mass effect on the audience so with that being said if you
Starting point is 00:02:03 don't know about panther bellico just know that he makes well he's in the regional mexican genre as far as new tino corrido amarachi and of course with this being his most popular track he's had a bunch of iG posts basically thanking the fans for supporting his particular track and if you don't know he actually has an album out so let alone the fact that this is the the first musical offering of 2025, he had not one, not two, but three albums that he put out and released in 2024 with his latest one being Corazon Arante, I believe that's how you say it, and it was distributed by two streams. Now, I'm not going to lie to you. Two streams sound independent if I ever heard of a label like that, you know, as far as a name like that, has to be independent.
Starting point is 00:02:56 let me see two streams lc this can't be a major label and if he's doing this without a major label it's a phenomenal feat because that is hard to do especially in the landscape of music which to remind you small labels and independence account for a six percent of the entire music market share universal music group has 60 percent sony has 20 percent warner has 14 and then of course the smaller labels and independents combined have a whopping 6%. So when it comes to even affecting that on a totality standpoint, that's already hard enough.
Starting point is 00:03:35 So for him to be doing it specifically in Mexico, as far as having the 41st most played track, it's still a phenomenal accomplishment as two streams. I looked it up. So as far as the album, his latest album in 2024, he put it out under two streams LLC, which is a San Diego-based digital distribution and streaming royalties company,
Starting point is 00:03:55 focus on supporting Latin indie artists. So that being said, that's definitely independent. I've ever heard one. And shout out to him for making this much noise and consumption under an independent label. Because when it comes to his latest track, it's all just him. You look at the credits, it just says panse or bellico.
Starting point is 00:04:14 Does it say two streams at all? So I think that was specifically for the album release of last year, but for this specific single for 2025, seemingly as completely independent. because two streams is nowhere to be found in the credit. So once again, being on your own and impacting the masses like this will always lead other people to believe that they can do it too because it's too many times where we see huge conglomerates making up a random artist and they just blow up out of nowhere to the point where some artists may feel discouraged if you don't have anybody backing you. But let panther bellicope basically the over. blueprint for you to showcase that if you put enough effort behind your musical creation,
Starting point is 00:05:01 you can make it to be in a complete independent. So anyways, but that means that, I'll premiere is of course featured on Punto Y Aparthe. I believe Punto is a cuss word. Let me see. Let me make sure. Because if it is, I'm keeping that in there, but you know, I'm just, I don't know, it means point. It means point.
Starting point is 00:05:19 My fault. I think I think I'm thinking of the one with an eight. That's a curse word, right? So with that be it said, El Primero is currently a regional hit. It's not crossing over to the masses by one that I highlight this because, of course, somebody out there is a huge pantherbellico fan, and they probably want to know how their favorite artist is doing. So with that being said, when it comes to regional Mexican music and streams,
Starting point is 00:05:45 he is dominant in that fashion to the point where he's on the top 50 list, and not only on the top 50, he has the 41st most play track. And, of course, with the under-representation, of the Mexican genre. It's nice to see artists like Nathan Vega, Freser Regina, and Bad Bunny pushing the culture forward because, of course,
Starting point is 00:06:03 if label execs don't, if label execs don't see any of the music from your particular genre crossing over, then they're less incentivized to put more dollars behind the budget for your music, right? And for your genre, that doesn't help.
Starting point is 00:06:18 That doesn't help out at all. We're seeing it right now in hip-hop. I mean, there's certain artists that are eating wonderfully. eating in a way that you can't even fathom right and now when it comes to the rest of the field you know how they say only 10 rappers are really getting to the bag the others are just scraping for for breadcrumbs or whatever but now there's only two there's two rappers really get into it and other rappers musically speaking now of course i'm not talking about brand deals and what they're doing
Starting point is 00:06:46 on the side as far as j z and the NFL entertainment deal i'm not talking about that talking about strictly music. Drake, Kendrick, or technically Drake has an R&B album now. Strictly hip hop on the charts. Kendrick, Big X the plug, are really the main ones making a lot of money for music specifically. And of course, Kendri's making money from a lot of other things. I meant it's beyond eating. I'm a professional pocket watcher. Let's just say his pockets are egregious, right? So with that being said, shout out to Panter Bellicoe putting on for the, not only to create Osumbando's genre, but also the Marachi subdivision of that genre. As you know, with his style, it mixes a lot of traditional Mexican folk with modern production.
Starting point is 00:07:32 So getting that across, especially in Mexico, hopefully at some point it crosses over to the masses. But of course, that's what platforms are like this is for to highlight these particular artists or that may be. Somebody listening to this may go check them out. So with that been said, click my link, sure of my bio. Let me know one of my social medias. What do you think about panther bellicose track? El Primero, and of course, where do you think the state of Mexican music is when it comes to crossing over to the masses?
