Starting point is 00:00:00 The successful attempt to ride somebody's wave has to be studied in the history books. Because this is a master class on how to ride two artists who are one of the most impactful musicians ever in hip hop. And just hop on the wave and make it seem like you're bigger than you actually are. Because let me tell you something, I can't name you the last. playboy cardi hit as far as the top 10 is concerned and the billboard charts are concerned but when I can name you it's charts or tracks that he hopped on and eventually it started to have more success I mean if we're talking about popular with the weekend if we're talking about fiend with Travis Scott which is
Starting point is 00:00:56 currently number 48 on the charts peaked at number five been on the charts for 19 weeks and then of course the track that literally took over 2024 because it came from an independent artist and Kanye west he hopped on that too with that track being literally the most streamed track in the world so as far as putting on a master class on writing other people's wave play bricardy has been super successful in that aspect and with his own musical ability on his own making the charts I don't know if we're going to actually see that because I think there's a reason why all of these tracks are being released on YouTube and not available on any DSP when we're talking about Spotify Apple Music Amazon I think
Starting point is 00:01:57 there's a reason for that obviously people could say oh Cardi fan base is humongous the gun definitely stream it which may be true but which begs the case why hasn't he done it yet i mean if you go to playbic cardi's the account it's filled with other artists whose wave he's currently writing the weekend Travis Scott and Kanye West but when you come to his own discography his last album was in 2020 people forget that unlock it came out but that was somebody else i don't even know what that is uh trippy red none of these are just none of these are sticking whole lot of red whole lot of red came out december 25th 2020 and the track that was most impactful from that was sky with 658 000 streams to put in perspective
Starting point is 00:03:01 the track with the weekend already has 655 000 streams out 2020 the track with the weekend came out last year so anyways but basically what i'm trying to say is i don't think his fan base really is going to buy his music like people say they are i think carty b and play with cardi has a lot of similarities when it comes to the appeal to the fan base everything outside of music is more intriguing than the than the sense to buy their music like when they put out music to purchase people like nah but let's say if they put out a video of them doing something wild like they showcased in this video right here like what is this video for the people who don't see this analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video with audio
Starting point is 00:03:50 anyways this man played bricardy it's just out here doing random side quests and people care way more than that in my opinion then if he was to release the track for like 299 and ask people to buy it i don't think people are really as intrigued into playboy carty's music like people say they are i think his persona his overall appeal to the masses when it comes to just a cool aspect is what well no has overtaken his his ability to compete with the big dogs when it comes to hip hop and just music in general because if he's going to release an album why hasn't he released it yet it's almost like he knows that some of the tracks he put out on youtube would not be as successful as he was to put it out for purchase or if he was to put it out
Starting point is 00:04:49 on a streaming platform where we could literally pinpoint how his album is probably going to do compared to the rest of the musicians so anyways uh there's this track called ketamine which is cardy's third release but guess what it's probably only gonna is probably only going to come to youtube and it's not going to be available on any dsps because one thing that somebody was trying to tell me who was a play with a cardi fan obviously um was that he's just waiting to release his whole album so that the first time that they're able to be that these songs are able to be that these songs are able to be stream will be when the album is eventually released and then that will be on DSPs but then at that point i'll probably say it'll be too late because i don't know any successful i'm not going to say any
Starting point is 00:05:38 that's you know a lot of music has happened before my time during and after my time but anyways um most successful albums usually have a single to promote it that's all i'm gonna say and not a single in the sense that he's doing as far as YouTube, that doesn't count. I'm talking about the RIAA certified platforms as far as Spotify, Amazon. Because if you don't know how much a stream to an album cost, it's like 3,500 streams for one album. And that's for, like, Spotify and Apple. So for YouTube, it's way less.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Like, it's like probably 10 times of that for, to count as an album sell. Because YouTube, you don't need a account. You don't need anything to just stream a song. So that's why I put so much. much emphasis on him not competing with other musicians on the charts because he claims that he's basically the pioneer for all of this music but my thing is like i don't believe you like he just i got to see it to believe it so anyways as far as the best thing or the best compliment i could give playboy cardi It's definitely that he, you know, is really has a very natural sense of wave riding.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Like he just knows the best waves to ride and he'll just ride that until the wheels fall off. So with that being said, click my link to your bio. Let me know one of my social media is. What do you think about Playboy Cardi's upcoming track ketamine coming out or ketamine coming out soon? And do you think that if Playboy Cardi dropped in the album? It will flop. Well, that's not a good question. Do you think that Playbury Cardi's marketing rollout is currently successful?
