I think it's been acknowledged that I'm not the biggest Polo G fan.
So this whole segment will probably throw off a lot of notorious massive fake listeners
because I have nothing but positive things to say about this track.
Granted, when albums drop, I can't listen to the entire thing,
so I still haven't listened to the entire Cuevo or a Russ album and ESTG album.
but what I can say from the singles I've listened to,
not the albums, just the singles,
I would say, Pologee had my favorite track of the night.
And that's considering Rod Wave,
Little Zvert and Mike Will.
Who's other ones?
A whole lot of other tracks that drop.
I mean, ESTG drop, of course.
They dropped whole albums like ESTG, Russ,
Quaybo, but I haven't listened to those albums,
so that's why I'm not saying that.
basically
oh dochi and
sexy red
basically a lot of music dropped and this was by far
my favorite track the biggest
names that
you would think I would like
like Rod Wave releasing a single
in such a huge hiatus I still
prefer this track over that one
as Polo G's barely holding on
is such a fire
track in a way
that I don't think
people understand like
And hip hop is always, you know, glorifying the violent acts that gets you respect in hip hop.
And I love how this has elements of that, but also speaks on the mental health and certain addictions in a way that's reflective.
It's not only, oh, glorifying it, but it's also reflective in a way that a lot of people can gravitate to or towards.
Because I always say the best tracks in history, in my opinion, is ones where the subject matter can resonate with all walks of life.
And barely holding on is a mantra and just a subject matter that Polo G thoroughly explores in this track in a way that's one catchy.
The chorus is very catchy.
The verses are hard hitting and cutting with the amount of lyrics that he's given, like a verse.
First one, right? He said, ain't hard to figure out because all these, because all his thoughts was tweeted.
And then after that, he said, he definitely said something about violence, right?
But then, like, after he said that, he said, because I ain't never seen a person from his coffin speaking, which is ignorant, of course.
And then he ain't think that we saw him creeping.
Sometimes I miss them days. And then he gets the reflective part, right?
Sometimes I miss them days when me and my bro was off at tweaking.
I hate September 18th because that's when we lost the demon
While the real ones always leave
That's what I get exhausted thinking
Can't be ungrateful about this life
You know we fall to see it
That point right there
Like I said he has elements of the glorifying
A violent action hip hop
But it's a glimpse of it because it's used
Not only just to talk about what he did
But to have that reflective
Epiphany
That this
all leads to certain outcomes
I don't know if I can handle
because one of these tracks
which is right here if you go to Analytic Dreams video
on Spotify channel he said
life's been pushing me too far
now I'm stuck on the edge don't want to party
I'll stay in this lonely room instead
and he gets back into his chorus barely holding on
this life gets scary as it goes
basically I really love this track
this track is probably
I'll have to listen to it you know over and over again
of course I just listened to it but as far as the night is by far my favorite track I feel like
the way Polo G attached or attacked real issues as far as his life a lot of people can relate to the
whole subject matter and a lot of people will enjoy the track because not only does it have
heavy lyrical substance but it's a very catchy chorus with verses
that gives you a glimpse at his ability to use wordplay because a lot of these mobile rappers and rappers in general just blatantly like they just can't rap so whenever polo g is just out here rapping in a way where he's just given us bars that is just quotables and very poignant to pointing out certain things in life that matters more than what you certainly are doing if you're like into that life.
style, I think this will resonate with a lot of people, basically, is what I'm saying.
And to go, basically, let's keep going.
So in verse two, right, he says, I'm from the trenches where they murder just to kill time.
A heavy hard eyes rolling through dark times.
Soul is sorry that they took your son.
I'm sending my condolence.
Got to face the facts when the truth unfolding.
I hope you know this, that I'm just.
and then he gets back into the chorus barely holding on this life gets scary as it goes
burdens while we carry on i ain't perfect spare me if i'm wrong hope my secrets get buried when i'm
gone staring at the writing on these headstones they keep on trying to tear me but i'm strong
that's what you wanted to tell me all along i ain't gonna lie bro that's boris that's that's
that's poetic justice if i haven't seen it like not to hype this track up too much but it's definitely
by far my favorite track of the night
and I ain't no Polo G had it
in them. I ain't gonna lie. You know
if you've listened to the pod for a while
that I'm not the biggest apology fan.
I feel like he's like a
off-brand version
of Little Baby, which at
this point seems disrespectful the way that
Little Baby keeps putting out the same formulaic
tracks and Polo G still
somehow, some way, finds a way
to hop into
different pockets and
tackle different issues which
makes his singles seem to stand out more over time.
And it's,
it's something that you have to acknowledge
and appreciate from artists.
As we've seen in a little baby,
sometimes they'll just go back to the formula,
like, to hear from me instead of wanting to switch up
to subject matter and talk about something that's real,
real consequences from certain ways of life.
So a lot of apology is speaking on that.
and yeah it's basically my sentiments of the track i know a lot of people are going to be like man
i can't believe you actually like a polo g track and not going to lie i can't either so anyways
click my link tree in my bio let me know in one of my social medias what do you think about
