if you aren't familiar with some of Polo G's work just know that this is the same man that made Rap Star which debuted at number one on the Billboard top 100 charts in 2021 and then if you need something even more than that

he had Martin and Gina which debuted at number 11 or peaked at number 11 on the Billboard top 100s and reached number one on the hot R&B and hip hop songs chart and then also in general

Pulo G is one of those people who attributed to the Chicago wave as far as one of the more prominent artists in that area and I think for Apollo G to be the way he is and not have as many haters because

if you've listened to the podcast you definitely know that I'm not the biggest Polo G fan, but I do admit that this man can rap. I just think when it comes to Polo G, similar to my criticisms of Germain Cole, I feel like the comparisons to a superior artist is valid as Jermaine. I compare to being an off-brand Kendrick. And Polo G, I definitely compare to being an off-brand little baby. But at some point, you have to give kudos and props when it's due, because this man can definitely rap, and he displayed it in his LA leakers freestyle.

And when you really get into the lyrics and the lyricism of what he did over this freestyle, I think that it would probably show up as being one of the better freestyle performances and his peer group. And that's not saying a lot because if you look at his peer group, it's really not the greatest. But at the end of the day, you have to put out some type of freestyle to make people really respect your rapping ability. And I think Polo G did just that. and honestly if he was to follow this up with a single i would not be mad at it because this is w promo for if he was coming with some type of album or single because in general he did put up a track in may 5th 2023 titled off the court but it wasn't his track it was sleazy world goes

track titled off the court and it just featured polo g but if you wanted to listen to more recent polo g then that's probably where you would need to go as far as his singles he did put out a grown man in March 31st, 2023, which was produced by marshmallow. And then he also had a track called No Time Wasted, which was Polo G and Future at the very beginning of the year in February 17th, 2023. So this man has always been working, always on a grind,

trying to get to that fetuccino and trying to get to that chicken as Pluto would phrase it. But at the end of the day, when you really listen to Polo G, I think he's one of those type of artists who's respected in the Chicago area. And I think perception-wise, from the fan base, they really enjoy Poloji's music. His albums and singles do very well on the charts, I might add, as I think he's one of the more popular artists in the game today. Not the most popular, obviously, but he's definitely up there and is competing with the likes of
