Popping off as an artist named marshmallow needs to go down in the history books of being one of the greatest finesses we've ever seen in human history.
Imagine being called something that a lot of people will attribute to like campfires and making of smores and then changing that trajectory into them thinking about music and concerts and just.
a lot of umz-unz type music simply for the fact that your name is marshmallow now this man
has pulled off the impossible as marshmallow i ain't going to lie to you it's probably one of the
funniest names i've seen in music history because um it's like if somebody came out as a hip-hop
artist named ketchup or a little mustard oh there is a DJ mustard that's crazy anyway anyways
okay i guess my point is invalid so uh polo g in south
side has teamed up for grown man, but not only has Poloji and Southside teamed up once again.
They have a pretty special guess, which you probably already know, by the start of this segment,
called Marshmallow.
And Marshmallow is a pretty huge deal, not trying to act like he's any up-and-coming artists or
anything like that.
He's definitely solidified in the music industry.
I just like to make fun of his name.
So anyways, Polo G is coming back with his bars about, you know, being the flies in the world
and talking about his drip and talking about his glocks that he's going to use for non-law-abiding
activities.
And, you know, if there's one thing I will say about Polo G is that him and Gunna have very
specific lyrics.
Like they talk about getting fly, but then they try to sneak in some gangsterisms,
like nobody will notice.
And that's one of the biggest things I always get from Polo G.
It's like he wants to be a version of little baby, not saying like him, like he's going
in the booth trying to be little baby.
but what I get from Polo G is a little baby light like he's little baby off brand so he's like the
I don't know he's like he you're like literally the way he makes music makes me think like what I
Polo G is music made for people who don't have access to little baby's catalog and that's how I can
like quantify it right now because
That's how I've always thought about PoloG.
It never really changed my mind, or he never really changed my mind in the way that he's put out music as far as the quality level.
And so for him teaming up with Marshmallow, it's not really like doing anything for me.
Obviously, I haven't listened to a track, so I'm not going to say it's fire or trash.
I never try to do that without listening first.
But as far as the details surrounding it, it seems like he's trying everything to get a hit,
which I mean, isn't that what every artist is trying to.
to do but for him i think if he was a little bit more unique and like leaning into the fact that he
may not be a non-law-abiding person like if he was just honest about him just following the law and not
trying to break it instead of trying to sneak in these gangsterism like i bought glocks with beams
for my snipers like that's not even so you bought weapons for somebody else it's just not really you know
I feel like at this point
we really have to start calling out these rappers
who aren't living their lifestyle
because like Future said, you know, even though
you're not living, you may not be living
the lifestyle that you're rapping about, you're still
promoting it to the masses. They're hearing it and they're like,
oh, I want to do that now. Like, I want to go out
and get a Glock with the switch and see
if I can make, or if I can turn
if I can get two twin Glockes
and turn somebody into a dancer. Like, no, you're not
doing that in real life. So why are you rapping
about it? Like, I don't understand, man.
It's really one of those things where you just get to,
you get to the point of depression, man.
It's just like, man, hip hop is just forever just going to glorify killing people.
That's what we're at.
So anyways, click my link to you in my bio.
Let me know one of my social medias.
What do you think about Polo G teaming over marshmallow?
And do you think, or have you even listened to Grown, man?
And if you have listened to the track, do you think the track is fire or trash?
Thank you.
