Now, whoever is behind this track coming to DSPs.
Let me tell you, you need a raise.
I don't know if it's from Cuevo's marketing team.
I don't know if it's from Lena Del Rey's marketing team.
Or who else could it be?
I don't even know if it's from quality control.
running the play with this or being the point guard for this play.
But this, in all intents and purposes, is tough.
This track is straightfire and answers what Cuevo has been needing as far as a hit on the billboard charts.
Because if you don't know, as far as the extended projections for July,
for July 20th, the track tough is set to be the 29th most play track in the world,
making his debut with 12.3 million streams, 94,000 units,
and 1.5,000 sales as far as like physical copies.
so overall
this track is doing tremendous
I mean as far as airplay
of course it's only point five
basically 500,000
because it just came out
once the radio
sees that people
authentically enjoy this track
they're probably going to put it on radio play
a little bit more
so I could see that airplay going up
because it's basically at zero
so
this
track is phenomenal. I love the way the mashing or the meshing of sonics, if that makes sense.
It's very sonically pleasing, which Quaver usually is as far as his chorus making ability.
That's why people attribute him to that because of his way to make sonically pleasing, repetitive sounds engaging.
So when you tie it to Elena Del Rey and the track comes out like this,
which is authentically a country trap song.
This may be, I don't want to get too egregious with it,
but I'm not joking when I say,
this may be one of the best country trap songs I've ever heard.
Because as far as the mashup, it doesn't happen too often.
I mean, what, you had Lil Nas X.
with Old Town Road.
Of course, with Shibuzi, what he's doing as a, in totality,
it's better than everybody else is what they doing with country and rap.
So what Shibuzy is doing is still top tier.
It's not even close.
But as far as, you know, coming down from that and trying to, like, rank some of the better country rap tracks I've heard,
it would have to be the Lil Nas X Old Town Road.
It would have to be the, what was the five, six, six,
second track or the 789 second track with rihanna and conier and some some country artists i think
yeah four or five seconds see i know i wasn't tripping uh riana conier and some other guy
that track was pretty uh that track was pretty fire paul mccartney he's country right
i'm gonna get canceled for saying that because i don't even know what genre he's in i think he's
country.
Paul McCartney.
Former member of the Beatles.
Oh, I'm tripping.
That's insane.
How do I not know that?
You know, that's wild.
That's actually pretty wild.
So that's not,
that's technically not country.
So, yeah, the only one I can really think of is Lodontz X.
Really, we don't get too many country trap,
high quality infused music.
I mean, I believe way back in the day,
I don't know if it was LL cool.
Cool J or Nelly.
I get him confused.
I think it was Nelly.
I think Nelly put out, yeah, country grammar.
That's what it was.
See?
I mean, student of hip hop, you know what I'm saying?
No, let me chill.
Let me chill.
All right.
So, yeah, Nelly had some type of country album,
and it was titled Country Grammar.
Obviously, I ain't listened to it.
But I know some people may say,
oh, that's one of the better country hip hop collabs
that we've heard in a while.
So me bringing up these old hip-hip.
pop. No, me bringing up these successful past hip hop country
mashups is because I think this track is out of here. Quavo found what he needed for
2024. And because I don't think y'all understand. The way that Quavo and
offset been trying to implement themselves on the charts, I mean, goodness, it's been
looking, it's not looking rough because it's never looking rough for the member of the
mecos like they'll be all right but when you're the megos all right is not what you look for like
lakers Celtics making the first second round i mean technically that's good for most of the other teams but
for people of their stature they're probably always trying to shoot for that top 50 so quavo finally
achieved that with this track this track is going to be here for the rest of 2024 that's how good it is
and sales don't always mean quality.
I'm just glad that with this specific track,
because I ain't going to lie to you,
this track came out July 3rd.
It's July 12th.
I didn't listen to the track when it first came out.
I was like, there's no way I'm going to listen to a hip-hop rapper
trying to make a pop song simply for the fact you're trying to get on the charts.
But guess what?
It got on the charts.
I was like, okay, well, let me give it a listen.
I give it a listen.
Man, it's straightfire.
That's almost like when
Cuevo put out his
solo album and I was just
counting it out because I'm like there's no way
Cuevo could ever put out
a body of work by himself
and it'd be high quality. I mean, did y'all hear
Cuevo Huncho? I mean, goodness gracious.
Imagine having the Avengers of 21 Savage,
Drake, little baby back when he was in his prime
Cardi B. Travis Scott. Like goodness, how much help do
you need, my brother? And that album
was still trash.
And then he turned around and put out Rocket Power, which was one of my favorite albums of 2023.
So, you know, Cuevo never ceases to surprise me.
As far as for Offset, he never ceases to disappoint me.
So, you know what I'm saying?
Yeah, on totally two different spectrums for Cuevo on Offset right now.
And I think Cuevo is proving, once again, that maybe we need to go back to the original saying when it came to the Migos of Cuevo, being the Beyonce of the group.
it seems like he is
individually
putting up
better performances on his own
than his counterpart
I know it's not a competition
actually it is a competition
because while they're just
I guess they've been making music so long
it's like if they make music they're going to be like
oh we need Amigos album
so I guess it makes sense but anyways
obviously you can tell which side I'm on
as far as a quave on offset
anyways
what else? What else?
so this is uh allegedly coming out on lena del ray's upcoming album lasso so i don't think it's as big of a hit
to do a whole collab album like that's how good this track is this track is this track is like
they at least have to give us another track like at the bare minimum they have to give us another
track together but as far as a collab album i don't know if that's going to be a possibility
um lena del ray performed at boston finway park back and why does it tell me that back in june 21st
and is she on tour or something i don't know why it would tell me that maybe she's on tour i don't know
i don't really keep up with country artists like that as far as touring um what else oh there's a music
video so if you want to see the music video is out now directed by watt spain
Winfrey and the visual themes is what you can assume I mean it's classic
Americans with a rule setting that word always shush me up don't laugh at me
playing guitar shooting beer cans and displaying intimate chemistry and of course
Quaybo pays tribute to take off in the music video you know recipe
the rest and peace uh take off so overall track is enjoyable track is fantastic it's a little bit more
than fantastic this track is i wouldn't be surprised if he got nominated for a grammy like quality wise
it's on that level and now you have the sales to go along with it like because you already know
me sales does not equal quality if this was selling and i listened to the track and thought it was
like all right i would have been like this is just a chart play but even though it is
for it to come out this high quality,
I have to give them the flowers
because it's like this track is fired.
I mean, what can I say?
So anyways, click my link to my bio.
Let me know one of my social medias.
What do you think about Cuevo
and Lane Adela Del Rey's collaboration tough?
And what is your favorite country trap song of all time?
