Talking about takeoff and especially his iconic status in the industry and just music in general
and seeing a new track featuring takeoff just showcases how music really takes a life of his own
as far as the longevity outlasting certain human lifespans.
And with that being said, not to get too deep because of course this is titled dope boy phone.
We're supposed to have fun with the track title title.
Do-boy phone, so no need for me to damper the mood.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip-hop.
Like, what's going on?
So as far as the status of hip-hop, I'm so glad that Quavius, aka Cuevo, you know,
is out here having takeoff on a track and showcasing his lyrical ability, takeoff, mind
you, as far as his verse, because it is immaculate.
As far as Doe Boy Phone, it is a very affectionate type of track.
I love the chorus from Cuevo.
He's definitely getting back into his bag as far as, you know, repeating.
repeating certain phrases over a beat, you know, it's definitely a quavo patent at this point.
And takeoff comes through with a phenomenal verse.
And, you know, nobody really looks at takeoff like a lyricist.
But as far as his flow, as far as the infectious type of sonics that he uses,
I don't know if it's, shall I say, verbiage, or just the amount of syllables that he uses in his verse.
It's very apparent.
Let me just put it like that.
and you know
counting the syllables and breaking it down
and takeoff's verse is some of my
favorite activities to do in hip hop
because I'm not going to lie to you.
The way that takeoff emphasizes syllables
and words,
it's like no other rapper.
So all jokes aside,
dope boy phone is a phenomenal track.
I do like it.
I believe that when it comes to markability,
I'm not going to say people are over the Migos
or just over Cuevo and takeoff
because that would be blasphemous, right?
The last album that Cuevo put out was Rocket Power.
And I think that was my favorite album of 2023, if not one of my favorite albums.
Because I just like when an artist actually put the authentic life into music and then let that be their story.
Right.
I really don't take too kind to like rappers talking about things that they aren't living.
Not to say Cuevo been doing that.
But I'm just saying, as far as 2023, 2020, yeah, that was my third favorite album of the year.
right so when it comes to 2023 i think that was a great offering and quavo's best project ever
so pretty high praise for quavo right and that was his last album 2025 comes around we would assume
that we're probably going to get an only bill for infinity links part two not saying that's what it's
going to be called i'm just saying as far as the quavo and take off dynamics i think that's going to be
present all throughout quavo's next album and i think he's been cultivating that sound to make it
high quality so they don't just feel so the masses don't just feel like he's just throwing takeoff on there
on some random throwaway track i believe he cultivated this chorus around the dope boy verse from takeoff
and i believe he's probably been doing that time and time again on other uh post hummus verses
that takeoff currently has and he's probably cultivating an album that migo's fans are going to love
even though offset's currently you know also i'd be beefing with everybody
don't need you know sometimes i think about it and you know you beef with kwavo which in line leads you to
leave in you know in in consequence as you ends up with you leaving a group and then now you beef
with karty b is almost like there's a certain constant variable in this whole equation but i'm
not going to say anything so that being said uh quavo and take off i've really liked their dynamics
only built for infinity leaks is going to go down as one of the more prominent track albums and amigos
history and we're talking about a lot of different prominent albums in megos history when you go to
dsps unconfute is what this album was put under it wasn't well actually it was it was put under
uh quavo on takeoff's respective artist platforms but as far as me goes that is probably over as far as
receiving a full amygos album unless opposite gets his stuff together right but i don't think that's
going to happen. And as far as them ending off on Culture 3 back in 2021, I mean, if you think about it's
a trilogy, they ended off on a high note. I do believe it's a very complete discography when you look
at the totality amigos offering, right? Starting in 2011, all the way to like rich, it's a PG pocket.
So we're just going to say rich timeline. We're just going to say that being one of the standouts
as far as the discography. And then you come into the Culture series. And that's when they really took
off in my opinion as far as culture one culture two and of course culture three so having that
trilogy and then the downfall or not downfall just a breakup happening as far as offset acting out and then
leaving um and then quavo and takeoff following that up we're only built for infinity links if you look
at it is a really complete discography and not to say they wouldn't have been able to give us anything better
or anything more exceptional like they've been giving us in the past but i'm just thinking like as far as
the passing of takeoff and, you know, letting him rest while also showcasing his
lyrical ability.
Cuevo's doing a great job at that, showcasing how you can have post hummus music, not be
distasteful.
Because a lot of people would be like, oh, if it's a certain amount of post-hummus music,
we're not going to listen to it because now we feel like you're exploiting certain people,
right?
With Cuevo, they've been doing it for so long that nobody's ever going to say that.
But of course, they would start to say that if he starts throwing takeoff.
verses on tracks that we don't feel like even fits the subject matter because of course the dope
boy verse from takeoff fits perfectly with the dope boy chorus from quavo so hopefully he's doing that
all throughout their future collaborative efforts and not just throwing takeoff verses on random
quavo choruses so doesn't seem like that would be the case as dope boy phone is a phenomenal track
I do like it it's not like the greatest thing in the world but it's actually
you know something solid that you would throw on and be like there's that new quavo and takeoff right because
it's that type of uh heat and it's reminiscent of the only built for infinity links and that album
was beyond phenomenal i mean hotel lobby to this day is a banger as far as what they put together
and how they play off of each other and then following that up with quavo's uh solo album
as far as when he had rocket power and i think my favorite what was my favorite track off rocket power
I think it was the sentimental track.
You know, I'm a sucker for people putting their life into the music.
I just feel like that's the best form of art.
So Cuevo, it was a specific track.
Let me go to 2023.
Yeah, Hold Me.
Hold Me was actually, so Cuevo's album,
Cuevo's album, Rocket Power, was my third favorite album of 2023.
Cuevo's track, Hold Me, off of that album, was my favorite track of 2023.
So that should just let you know how much I really respected the
quality level from quavo's album post takeoff in the way he honored takeoff's legacy so with that being said
um i do believe dope boy phone is going to be a phenomenal track as far as it being received personally i like
the track i mean i listen to it i think it's phenomenal i like the subject matter i like them going back
to the repetitive nature of quavo you know repeating certain phrases throw those those me back into the
umigos old days as far as you know them just flowing over a beat and then takeoff coming in just completely
eviscerating the beat with his lyrics and so this is no different dope boy phone is a phenomenal track
when it comes to the upcoming project is likely gonna be i would assume because we already got a
solo quavo project rocket power was so great i believe the next project needs to be like a
a collaborative effort between quavo and takeoffs post hummus versus right so that being said um let me know
what you think click my link to your in my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think
quavo should do you think he should put out another solo project or do you think he should put out a
another collaborative project with takeoff and also have you listened to dope boy phone if you have
do you think it's fire or trash
