Starting point is 00:00:00 Again, getting into raw Alejandra, one of the main things I wanted to say is, you know, covering Latin music, you come to realize there's a lot of different players in every different genre. But of course, when it comes to people being specifically akin to one genre, they may not know the players outside the music industry that may affect their favorite artists. Because sometimes your favorite artists are listening to popular songs outside of the genre and transatlantic. transforming their own sound or even experimenting with their own sounds basically having heavy inspiration from these other artists outside their genre right So the reason why I say that is because raw Alejandro and bad bunny currently have the 100th most played track in the world as far as it being on their charts for 18 weeks and it peaked a number Well it peaked at being the 34 fourth most play track in the world But currently it's a hundred anyways getting into the latest offering from raw Alejandro titled Karita Linda hopefully I'm saying that right now with that track
Starting point is 00:01:08 it's out now on all DSPs now going back into my or reiterated my points that I said at the beginning of this segment this is Latin trap what do you think the trap element is influenced by right so like I said getting into a lot of different genres it has an effect on your favorite artists and vice versa so whenever you hear me Padre from Drake you come to realize that he's more tapped into different genres than you realize, which is probably why he's one of the more successful artists in the music industry. Because sometimes you have to realize what the masses are affected by to realize how to go about making your own music, but try to keep it authentically you because everybody has inspirations in life. But the main thing is finding out
Starting point is 00:01:53 what you are and then putting that more into your music by also incorporating the other things. so anyways um raw a Alejandro has came out himself to say that he's had earlier influences of daddy yankee michael jackson and chris brown man that's a that's a list ain't it so those are the artists that he said himself that he's influenced by but the main thing that you need to know is that he broke through with his 2016 mixtape Punto de equilibrium. I'm pretty sure that's a cuss word. I ain't going to watch you. Let me look this up. Ponto and spared. I just said it again to English.
Starting point is 00:02:30 If there's a cuss word, guess what? I'm not taking it out. Let me see. That means period. Okay. So it's not a cuss word. Cool. I think I'm thinking of another word.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Anyways. And then of course, when it comes to the notorious mass effect, I've covered Alejandro a good amount of time. times as I covered his track Touching the Sky. I covered his collaboration with Calli Uches. As far as No Hay-Laparte 2, hopefully I'm saying that right. I covered his
Starting point is 00:02:59 track with Bizarrep and his Bizarab music sessions Volume 56. So if you wanted more covers, just type in Rar Alejandro Analytic Dreams. But the main thing you need to know is with Corita Linda is min tempo, regga tone fused with Latin, trap, pop, and
Starting point is 00:03:17 Neo-Bamba, which is Puerto Rican traditional rhythm. And then he's having the theme of the thing that encapsulates the masses, which is, of course, romance and how his romantic endeavors are going, right? So with that being said, there's a lot of flirtation going on even in the music video. If you don't know, there's a whole music video for Carita Linda by Ra Alejandro. And with that aspect, the music. music video was directed by Martin Sepul, hopefully I'm saying it right, and El Zoro.
Starting point is 00:03:55 And the location is of course in Puerto Rico. And with that being said, the visual themes is more of Afroborica, hopeful I'm saying that right, culture veggie gontes and vibrant urban street life. So this is essentially to showcase the people of Puerto Rico and basically Puerto Rico's culture and their traditions. So ultimately, him having cultural aspects in his music is essentially and authentically him,
Starting point is 00:04:27 but him also having a trap element and the pop element just goes back into my earlier sentiments as far as these overseas artists. And these overseas artists being influenced by other genres and then vice versa. So it's definitely a two-way street. And when it comes to the music industry, it pays to pay attention, right?
Starting point is 00:04:51 So making sure you know who is in captivating the masses in every single genre. And ultimately, what's cultivating the whole music landscape is the best thing you could do if you want to be more inclined to know what is good music and what isn't when it comes to the masses, right? Because that's subjective. If one thing could be good to one person and in that same track could be completely trashed to another person. So that's this objective scale. But on the objective scale, just know that Ra Alejandro is kicking off his tour, Costa Nuestra, 2025, at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. And so he's having a Broadway-inspired concert with live band and theatrical staging. So if you wanted to go see Ra Alejandro is kicking off April 5th, which, you know, has passed.
Starting point is 00:05:41 So, you know, his tour is still going on right now. And when it comes to the cultural impact, just know that he's blending a lot of old school regga tone nostalgia with futuristic production of course with the development and evolution of technology but the main thing you need to know he's is he's actively promoting his roots and the whole Puerto rican identity and afroborica heritage so with the butcher of pronunciations or the butchering of pronunciations out the way make sure to click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about raw Alejandro's latest track Carita Linda and ultimately what is your favorite track from
Starting point is 00:06:24 Alejandro.
