In this Notorious Mass Effect segment, Analytic Dreamz examines the track as a deeply personal support anthem following the success of “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND?” in 2025.RAYE wrote the song about someone she cares for deeply, describing it as “medicine” for her own emotions. The ballad addresses hidden pain, emotional masking, chronic exhaustion, and the pressure of hyper-independence. Through vulnerable lyrics like “You don’t have to do this all alone” and the urgent outro plea “Don’t give up on your life,” the song delivers direct reassurance and mental health awareness.Analytic Dreamz explores the song’s live debut at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball and Montreux Jazz Festival, its emotional structure that shifts from observation to active intervention, and how it reflects growing demand for authentic, therapeutic songwriting in modern music. This Notorious Mass Effect segment by Analytic Dreamz highlights why “I Know You’re Hurting.” stands out as more than a ballad—it functions as an emotional lifeline, offering empathy, spiritual support, and a clear message that listeners are not alone in their struggles.Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Shepard, promise me you'll tell them to subscribe for a free content.
Gave all I have.
Mm-mm-mm.
Playing executive producer whilst writing 9,400 lyrics meant giving everything.
You guys.
Created with an army of musicians and geniuses.
My second album, This Music may contain.
Hope is now yours.
Now, of course, ladies and gentlemen, if you don't know who we're specifically referring to,
just know we're about to dive into Ray.
Because if you don't know, she just dropped her album.
This music may contain Hope that is currently 17 tracks, an hour and 13 minutes in length,
and on all DSPs.
But hold on now.
There's one specific track on there titled, Where Is My Husband?
Now, I don't know if y'all know, but currently it's the 17th most played track in the world,
and you know your boy over here takes his job seriously.
So with that being said, looking at future chart analytics, April 4th of this year,
it's set to still be the 17th most played track in the world,
meaning that the consumption is through the roof for this particular track
because not even the BTS stand-em, where all their tracks entering the charts,
can push it out of the top 10.
Well, not top 10, you know, I can't count.
Out of the top 20.
another thing I was wanting to talk about
because, you know, of course,
Ray is just out here asking
where is her husband?
You know what I'm saying?
No, I mean, I got to let her know
that at the end of the day,
your husband
is obviously, you know,
I can tell you obviously
when your husband ain't, you know what I mean?
Yep.
All right, getting back into the coverage of Ray.
So, obviously, if y'all can't tell,
you know, Ray outside of the musical aspect,
the visual aspect is also on point.
So when it comes to the magnetic,
The magnificently talented rate winning, well, having the most wins at a single Brit award.
This happened in 2024.
She ended up winning British artists of the year.
Hold up now.
I know 21 Savage.
I'm set right now.
But then you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Like, what's going on?
You know, why have we never seen 21 Savage at a British award show?
You guys.
See, that's the problem.
Anyways, let me get back to Urae.
So she broke the record for the single,
for the most wins at the single Brit Award ceremony,
winning British Artists of the Year,
best new artist, songwriter of the year,
first female winner.
Best R&B act,
British album of the year with her My 21st Century Blues
and Song of the Year with escapism.
So when you look at her as far as her rise in the musical career,
to say in the past two years she has been putting up a notorious mass effect to the point where
where is my husband being platinum certified being her highest charting track ever co-written
slash produced with mike sabbitt i think leading into her sophomore album she is inevitably
broken the sophomore slump well specifically for her i'm interested into diving into this album
because after listening to the track,
where is my husband?
I was thinking to myself,
he's right here.
Shepard.
All right, my fault.
Let me get back.
You know, I got to stay focused.
Come on, guys.
It's informative.
Anyways, when you look at the album in this entirety,
is 17 tracks, an hour and 13 minutes.
This whole roller coaster is basically
Ray diving into emotional support for someone
who's silently struggling.
And she directed a lot of insights.
towards someone I care about very much.
She said she wrote it about, quote,
someone I care about very much.
So she's not just some random,
oh, I'm sad and depressed for no reason.
She's really writing some actual,
helpful material for somebody
who may be out there silently struggling.
And just know, you know, for your boy dreams
to go on his soapbox, just know.
You too can make it possible
and whatever you want to do in life.
And you know, it may sound cheesy, you know what I'm saying?
Who do?
You say it may sound cheesy.
Who need you?
I don't care because guess what?
That's the God honest truth.
You know, every day is an opportunity to get better than you were yesterday.
You know what I'm saying?
Give them some praise.
You feel what I?
Thank you.
I appreciate it.
Give them some praise.
Yeah, my tithes and offerings are going to be at the front.
So if we don't raise, you know, a certain amount, I'm going to lock the doors.
Anyways, getting back into my coverage.
So when talking about Ray specifically and how this is an emotional support type of album,
just know the track
where is my husband
the main thing I have about
my main personal
insight about the track
whereas my husband is that
is she rapping like this on the entire
album because technically I'm calling that rap
her verse one her verse two the way she's flowing
over the beat I'm thinking to myself hold on now
she may be some of a lyricist herself
because
the way that she's singing
and it's like she's rapping
and I don't think
I don't think octaves are the right one
as you can tell I'm not no singing connoisseur
as far as her rapping
and a certain tone
it seems like she's singing but the words that she's saying
as far as rhyming along with
the different lines that she's using
and where is my husband leading up into the chorus
makes me feel like she's actually rapping on the track
so admittedly I'm not
the biggest Ray fan
because I don't know too much about it.
This is my introduction.
I would ask the Ray fandom out there,
is she always double-time flowing on her album?
Like double-time flow.
Y'all probably don't know what that is.
Is she rapping fast or is she singing fast
on majority of her songs?
That's basically why I'm asking.
Because it seems like what she did
on where is my husband could be quantified
as rapping, in my opinion.
So anyways, the track is immaculent, though.
I listen to it.
I was like, wow, this is phenomenal.
Like between Siena Spiro, between Ray, who else, there's some other artists.
But basically, I've really been diving to a lot of women singers and just very much enjoying what they have to put out.
And of course, you know, I say all the time that women are the better singers by far.
You know, not to give them an out or an excuse, but they do talk in the range that you need to sing in when you're hitting higher notes.
And if you don't know, that's why.
That's one of the reasons Michael Jackson started to talk higher.
in the higher pitch because the more you use it,
I guess it just makes it better.
It's like working out.
Like you have to use that,
you have to work out that muscle.
So if you're talking that range,
often it makes it easier to sing in that range.
I'm no, as you can tell,
I'm no professional singer coach,
but I'm on to some as far as the,
I'm just putting in the lamest terms.
You need a professional singer coach
to actually expound upon what I'm talking about.
But, you know, that's real stuff.
So anyways,
when it comes to the rest of the album,
I will say that the idea as far as breaking the strong the strong alone mentality meaning that you don't have to do this alone it's a very real thing because people who are hyper independent people who prefer isolation I think the stronger alone mentality helps them create certain things to keep them in a hyper independence lane and what I mean by that is people who depend on themselves they usually find
a certain way to keep depending on themselves, whether it's a certain job where they're doing
it by themselves, whether a certain hobby, what they're doing it by themselves, and find
enjoyment when hanging out with themselves. And it's nothing wrong with that. But for the people
who are silently suffering and need some more empathy outward, but not inward, that could pose an
issue. And that's what this album addresses. So, you know, a very serious topic, if you was really
wanting to get into it. So for Ray to go at this.
this concept and expound upon it throughout her album,
which is why it's called this music may contain hope.
I mean, that's just a phenomenal concept album, in my opinion.
So she's also reflecting on the broader themes
in modern music such as mental health awareness,
emotional vulnerability.
I think the authenticity of where's my husband
is very straightforward.
You know, I'm not trying to be, you know,
crucified for this, but I would compare it
to a specific track as far as what Beyonce said would put a ring on it.
I know, I know what y'all say.
Hold on now.
But then you know what I'm saying?
I'm like, yeah, I got hear me out.
So as far as the put a ring on the track from Beyonce,
that the same type of message, especially when wanting a husband, like if you want a husband,
put a ring on it could be in the same lane as where's my husband.
I obviously put a ring on it is a little bit more closer to the altar, right?
But it's in the same lane of finding your husband.
Like, okay, where's my husband?
And then you find your husband,
hang out with that person for a little bit, years, you know.
And then you, like, put a ring on it,
and then you make it to the altar, hopefully.
So that's why I say that this is in the same lane as that.
Now, of course, you know, I'm not,
this is my personal opinion on this platform.
You know, it's a safe space.
You can obviously disagree with me.
You know, we just keep it respectful over here, you know what I'm saying?
So anyways, that's all I had to say about Ray,
phenomenal artist,
doing crazy numbers in the past two years, not only dominating the Brit Awards,
but also with Where's My Husband being the most popular track currently for her.
I'm interested to see what this new album can produce as far as another hit.
Now, do I believe another hit's going to come on the level of Where's My Husband?
I do not believe so, but we just have to wait and see because you never know.
She can have another or two, three, four, where's my husband is on this new album.
We'll just have to wait and see.
I haven't listened to the whole thing, but I'm definitely ready to dive into it.
And also, one more thing before I leave.
The Ray Connoisseurs out there just know that she launched a major, quote,
this tour may contain new music.
Yo, these titles, it's hilarious.
Anyways, she's headlining a tour of 51 days across Europe, UK, North America,
starting January, 26.
Okay, so she's already on it.
And she has arena shows, including multiple at London's O2,
supported by her sisters absolutely and ama um and some days are with bruno mars if you wanted to find
that just i would just go to her site or something like that so um or her instagram will go to ticket
master type in ray it's not an ad but you know some connoisseurs want to know where to go so that's
where you could go so with that means it click my link to my bio let me know one of my social
medias what do you think about ray's latest album this music may contain hope and at the end of the day
If you're a Ray condensure, when did you first become aware of Ray as far as what song?
And also, if it's different, what is your favorite Ray song?
