Starting point is 00:00:03 We finally have another example of how to get new Rihanna music. Because at this point in time, with her past releases and her past performances, we can now quantify that there is a very specific metric slash requirement that needs to be met for us as the Navy to get new Rihanna music. and Paramount Pictures just met that requirement once again. Now, if you don't know what I'm saying, if you don't know what I'm hinting at, basically Rihanna has been putting forth no type of effort to put out a new album. But what has happened is that people who understand that Rihanna's greatness is insurmountable and is not even close compared to the rest of the field.

Starting point is 00:01:00 they are now paying her a certain bag up front to get new material from her whether it's the Super Bowl which obviously people say Super Bowl doesn't pay people to perform but still going out of your way to get Rihanna to come perform even though she probably told you that she was pregnant and you was like guess what I don't care I know that you and your status will help out the Super Bowl. I mean, I literally know people who tuned into the halftime show just to see Rihanna performing. If you don't believe me, look up Rihanna's halftime show concurrent viewers breaks the actual concurrent viewers for the concurrent views for the game. So as far as a halftime show, Rihanna put up more concurrent viewers than the actual football game. So that should tell you

Starting point is 00:01:55 something. Going back to what I was saying as far as, meeting her up front fee if you go to her discography because obviously she hasn't given you much to work with in the past two to three years but what she has given us has been attributed by

Starting point is 00:02:12 a major company going out and giving her a bag for new material whether it's Black Panther Wakanda forever would she put that song Lift Me Up for that movie and whether it's the prince from wherever

Starting point is 00:02:28 the over wherever she perform overseas giving her like six million i don't even think it was six million it was like eight million 10 million i forget it was a lot up front just for her to come and perform her uh her like 30 minutes set or whatever and then obviously the first example was the super bowl so you see with these upfront fees she is willing to give new material if the requirement is met so that is why to bring it back full circle Rihanna is set to star, score, and produce new animated movie The Smurfs, which she will end up voicing Smurlet, previously voiced by Demi Lovato and Katie Perry. The film will feature original music by Rihanna in its schedule to release February 14, 2025. So of course with that announcement,

Starting point is 00:03:29 Brianna came out herself to say how she was excited for the role stating that it was a fun journey and hoping it earns her cool points, quote unquote, with her kids. If you don't know, I think she's on her second kid with Asa Rocky currently. So yeah, that's what she's referring to. But what else? this marks the second animated feature from Rihanna after her debut in Home in 2015 what was home I do not remember home movie Rihanna yeah I do not remember this movie but that was also an animated film all the way back in 2015 I don't know who was produced by I can't really what was this produced by yeah I can't find it

Starting point is 00:04:25 that's interesting i don't think i've ever seen home all right anyways let me not get distracted so what's i saying oh yeah so paramount there's this thing called well not even paramount movies and tv shows basically there's this thing called the upfront sink fee for artists and songwriters so basically the bag that i'm referring to as far as the requirement to get new riana music was met by Paramount via up front sync fee to artists or songwriters basically means that the producers covered the rights to synchronize the song with visual content same thing that marvel did when they gave her an upfront sync fee for the black panther wakonda track lift me up once they pay to get that song,

Starting point is 00:05:22 they cover all the rights as far as synchronizing the song with visual content. So of course, there's two types. There's the one that use song or a composition, and there's another one that used for master recording. And basically, the secret

Starting point is 00:05:41 synchronization fees. I've said, hard to get it out. You know what I mean? The secret. Yeah, that's not it. that's like shacking the fool you know what i'm saying anyways i'm gonna try this again you know what i mean i don't care if y'all laughing the synchronization fees charged by a music publishers obviously vary and if you're riana you know it's probably you probably have to pay a pretty penny to get those
