Now, if the Drake stimulus package does not work with this single, I don't know what will.
Because at this point, I don't know what to call it.
In 2024, as far as specifically, 2024 musical releases, it seems like my goat is having a little trouble when it comes to staying on the charts.
Now, when comparing it to himself, he is doing fantastic because overall, as far as a discography, he's leading the pack by a mile.
it's not even close as far as streams and units and reports just came in that he had the highest grossing
tour as far as it's all a blur so with that all being considered very nitpicky when we come when it
comes to drake it's like lebron and people critiquing him about his free throw game and then he'll
not taking a shot in the last four four minutes of the game right that's how specific we're getting
with the Drake critique because other than sexy red, who has Drake actually helped in 2024 as far as him being a feature?
Camilla Cabello, I throw out the window because she's trash.
Yeat, I, no, okay, so yeat is the actual example I would use.
That track is phenomenal, I think, is one of Drake's better verses of 2024.
for as far as the production and everything because if you don't know, Drake usually features
with people to take their sound. Right. So, you know, shout out, shout out to Fort Bass.
He's, you know, I try to tell him, but hey, what do I know, right? So anyways, um, Rod wave
is another example of, well, it's going to be another test to where, or whether Drake's
stimulus package still works. As there's a
been a it wasn't a leak it was like a tease track titled best friends now the upcoming song for rod wave's
upcoming uh upcoming album titled last lap set to be released late 2024 i want to let y'all know right now
rod wave is letting y'all know that he's a big dog releasing so late in the year because if you don't know
the music industry shuts down around november december so what that means only the people with
already set in stone fan bases can release in that time and not look atrocious as far as the
first week sales. I mean, people release in the height of the music industry as far as the production
and everybody working. And they still sell around 20 to 30,000 first week under Universal Music Group,
which is the biggest label in the world. Because I'm not really going to say any names,
Big Sean, but as far as people coming out in that high activity, as far as workers trying to promote
your music and still underselling is a big testament to rodwave to release so late in
2024 simply for the fact that his fan base will still support him no matter what to the
point where glowrilla came out because if you didn't see it glowrilla came out i think i can find
it let me see glowrilla rod wave uh glowrilla came out and basically said oh yeah it
Okay, so she commented under his album.
I think I'm just going to say it because I don't think I'm going to put up the video version.
But basically, Rod Wave put out his announcement of last lap coming out October 11th.
So pretty soon, but still late in the year as far as the marketing and things of that nature.
Gorella basically said,
Y-D-F would you drop on my day?
I'm going to tweak out.
somebody needs to let glowrilla know that she and this is as respectful as possible because y'all know
i'm a glovela fan i'm the one who was saying last year that y'all shouldn't count her out
simply for the fact that sexy red is blowing up because they try to pit them against each other
if you look at analytic dreams glowrilla you will see my segment of glovela versus sexy red
where I point out specific things going on in the industry for them to pit themselves against each other as far as YG's label literally having Sexy Red towards the top of their label album.
That's like if P from QC put out the QC label projects that they be putting out and they had like, who was going against the Migos at the time?
If they had like future at the top, right?
and then everybody else was just towards the bottom.
That's how deep the industry tactics came to win sexy red and
Glorilla as far as the back and forth.
Because it's not them specifically.
I believe they don't have any beef with one another.
It was the industry trying to put them against each other because what sells?
Obviously, we've seen in 2024 what sells the most.
Controversy, whether it's Kat Williams, whether it's Drake versus.
versus Kendrick, whether it's just all type of other controversy.
It sells more, people pay more attention to it, and that's just how life is.
So that's what they tried to do last year.
So that's why I came out said, don't count out Glorilla for the simple fact that all
these behind the scenes tactics were being played against her.
So anyways, fast forward to 2024 and Glorilla still has one of the highest charting
tracks in hip hop, like in hip hop, as far as 2024 with her track.
TGIF, which is the 33rd most played track in the world and been on the charts for a whopping
13 weeks. Talk about proving your haters wrong. All right. So with that out the way, we're getting
back to Rodway. So yeah, with that being said, you already know I'm not a global
a hater, but I just have to let her know that Rod Wave, respectfully, is on a whole different
level than you are so as far as him releasing his album on your date i'm 90% sure he had no idea you was
dropping i'm not even trying to be disrespectful rodway moves at his own pace and given his size you
understand that's going to be a slow one right so if he moves at a slow pace and he's ready to drop at a
certain date and your album just happens to be around that same date well guess what people are just going to
listen to Rod Wave's album first and then they'll get to your album. But technically, and I've seen
a lot of people saying this, they have two different fan bases. Rod Wave is more singing
your hard out, heartbreak type music. Glorilla is more club anthem, ratchet, activity,
bragging about certain things that's more of the, I don't even know how to say it. It's more
of materialistic. That's what I was looking for.
The materialistic bars is more of what Glorilla gets into.
Heartbreak anthems is more what Rod Wave gets into.
I would say the two different artists,
and they will garner two different amounts of attention.
But obviously, Rod Wave's going to have the bigger first week sales.
But we'll see, because I don't know.
GloRilla definitely has been putting together a great 2024.
I would say sexy red, Glowrilla, it's really not a lot.
really not a lot.
I mean, obviously the big dogs like Drake Kendrick,
not Jake Cole, because he's still in hip-hop timeout.
But not even Megan,
because I only track that's charting with Megan
and the top 50 is with Glorilla as far as Wanna Be.
And that's been on the charts for about 24 weeks,
so it's definitely a bona fide hit,
but it's Glorla song.
So with that being said, I think,
not even Nikki.
Let me see.
And I'm specifically talking.
about 2024 obviously i'm not trying to say sexy red and glorilla is the biggest woman artists in the
world i'm just saying that currently in 2024 as far as 2024 releases they've been the hottest in the
game like period so uh and that's not like city girls period that's just like the regular period
that used to be used before that came a thing uh anyways rod wave getting back to this man so
with rod wave dropping last lap it would be his sixth studio album
following his 2023 release, which is last year, titled Nostalgia.
And this album, including Drake, makes it for me.
It makes it bigger than his previous projects would be if, and this is going back,
bring it full circle, if the Drake Stimulus Package works.
Because if the Drake Stimulus Package does not work, best believe me, we're going to see it in the numbers.
and Rod Wave is so coveted by his fans,
I could see a solo Broadwave track
having a higher charting position than Drake's
because, of course, it's going to be a single
and then the album's going to release on the 11th.
So I would think the Drake and Rod Wave track
will come to fourth, and then the 11th is when the album will come.
That's just me guesstimating.
But the snippet has been out for a while,
and a lot of fans are gearing up towards the actual release
because they've been starting to hint at it with Rod Wave tagging Drake in the Instagram story
with emojis of a goat and a turtle, which, you know, the jokes just write itself.
But anyways, you're going to get to that in another segment.
And then with that being said, Rod Wave does already have a track on the charts as passport junkie
is the 61st most played track in the world.
And as far as that's been on the, I guess he just released that.
Let me see.
He must have just released that track because it only's been on the charts for one week.
That's what it's showing.
But okay, yeah.
Actually, he, no, that's Fall Fast in Love.
So he already released, so he released Fall Fast in Love.
He's released Passport Junkie, and then now he's about to release this single with Drake.
I would not say he's concerned about his album sales because, of course, everybody's album sales is low.
but with Rod Wave, I think his fans will support regardless,
especially because of the heartbreak anthems he'd be putting together.
I mean, just tugging at the heartstrings as far as covering pain, growth, and ambition,
I mean, that's just going to encapsivate a lot of people because who hasn't went through that, right?
So as far as last lap, having three singles before the album actually comes out October 11th,
it's just showing that Rod Wave is ready to drop.
That's basically what it's telling me.
don't think it's a fear of not selling well i think it's just his rollout for his album passport junkie
um the one that's out now that i had no idea fall fast of love and then this track with drake
titled um well supposedly titled best friends we'll see what it actually ends up being but at the
end of day you know rob wave is definitely going to make a splash into the music scene whenever he
drops so with that being said hopefully glow really gets over it because he is definitely dropping
on your date and ultimately you may just have to push your album back because he's definitely not going
to so that being said click my link to my bio let me know in one of my social medias what do you
think about the upcoming drake and rod wave collaboration as far as best friends and with
fall fast in love and passport junkie what's been your favorite track from rod wave so far
