Track 16.
Rat Beef by Rod Wave.
If you would please turn with me to Genius.
Verse one, I'll let you get there.
Give you some time.
And it reads,
Had a dream about my brother.
We was courtside again.
You coming home this year?
No matter what I got to spend.
Gave his lawyer 350.
His co-defendant 10.
They want expeditives in the cell.
They don't want you to win.
They post when I go to jail.
Not when I give back to the kids.
So much came with this life, but it is what it is.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, that is what you call poetry at his finest.
There's a reason why Rob Wave is one of the few musicians that's able to go
on an arena tour and not get any dates canceled.
Shout out to Little Baby.
But Rive in his music,
the messages he puts them to his lyrics,
it's so personal and personal bull
that his fans gravitate towards it
because of the genuine perception
he gives about his life.
I always say the best musicians in the music industry
are the ones that's able to put their personal experiences into music.
So when you're looking at Ride Wave
and the way that he's literally telling you
about how he's defending his brother in court
via monetary efforts to his co-defendant and his lawyers, right?
or as co-defendant teams and his lawyer
it makes you understand
why a lot of people
gravitate towards Rod Wave
obviously a lot of people says
his music is formulae
which as a Rodway fan
I could probably say
is a fair critique
usually he lets the beat build
comes on with the chorus
follows that up with a verse
followed by chorus
followed by bridge
and then
the chorus maybe one more time
and then that's it.
And then to spice it up,
sometimes he throws a little phone call in there
or he throws a phone call at the beginning
or he just starts talking at the end, right?
But nobody can deny the messaging that he's giving
and his music is a perspective into his life
that we otherwise would not get
if it wasn't for his openness
and his willingness to open up to his audience.
so for that poetry at his finest so anyways after that glazing pause click my link to
