After a couple of commercial sounding singles, the rapper-singer offered fans a soft rock song called ...‘Fire‘ last week which the fans appreciated. But now it’s back to Rap. Russ’ projects CHOMP and CHOMP 2 are a bit of a departure from his usual stuff because his only focus is to rap crazy over solid production. source: Russ Releases 'CHOMP 2.5' with Boi-1da, Alchemist, Havoc, 9th Wonder & More: Stream | HipHop-N-MorePrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Starting point is 00:00:00 Jack Harlow saying he's the nicest white boys since the one who wrapped about vomit and sweaters would probably go down in history as one of the worst quotes of all time. Sort of like when John Morant said that he was fine in the West. Because at this point, all the lyrically great and lyrically gifted rappers, white rappers, I might add, are coming out of the wood. to showcase durability to deliver bars. Now, whether that's MGK giving his freestyle, basically given Jack Harlow, you know, some light shots, it wasn't really anything too crazy.
Starting point is 00:00:44 You know, it was a very fire jab, direct jab on my ad, which I wholeheartedly respect, especially if it's on this lighthearted tip of just rapping. And Russ, coming out with another rap mixtape. titled Chomp 2.5. Now, if you don't know, Chomp is basically the project where Russ is lyrically going crazy. He's trying to give you triple quadruple entangres
Starting point is 00:01:17 attached with a great beat, which is capitalized off the fact that he's producing it. I mean, one of my favorite taglines in history and music, I mean, just in music history is who produced this. Oh, wait, that's me. That's like one of my favorite tagline. Like when he's always like, uh, shout out to me. A shout out to producer.
Starting point is 00:01:41 That's me. Like, that's just so far. Because honestly, producing is a talent. And, um, I mean, I probably don't have to say that if you listen to music. You listen to beats and they basically set the mood and the rappers more of, um, go off of the mood that the beat is setting. So when you're a producer and a rapper, we respect it at another level, which is why Kanye West,
Starting point is 00:02:03 Tyler, the creators are so revered because the way to be a great producer and a great musician, well, same thing, a great rapper is very two different things and to separate your brain enough to be amazing at both, at both, it's kind of like LeBron and the NBA.
Starting point is 00:02:24 It's like, how do you score points and be the leader in points? and also be the leader in assists. Like it makes no sense. Like you either do one or the other. It's hard to do both really well, you know, or be the best at both. So I think for Russ and his ability to produce and basically brag about the fact that he's producing some fire tracks all over his projects to come out with another lyrically enhanced project called Chomp 2.5 to quote, hold us over until he gives us a, summer album so rest already confirmed he's going to give us a summer album and for m gk also to
Starting point is 00:03:07 you know give a lyrical freestyle basically throwing some direct jabs at jack harlowe i think it's very interesting how at the end of the day jack harlowe has gotten himself into the bind either he can just not respond and let the you know let the other people have their time in the spotlight or he can respond and send some shots at MGK. Not so much Russ. I mean, Russ picked a great time to release this lyrically enhanced project.
Starting point is 00:03:38 But to throw shots at Russ, I think would be unwarranted. But to throw shots at MGK, now that's a whole other segment in itself. Because even M&M wasn't above responding to MGK. So I'd be interested to see what Jack
Starting point is 00:03:54 Harlow does. But the only reason I bring them up is because not only did we get MGK coming out with bars, but we now also have Russ coming out with bars. And boy, could he not have picked a better time to release this mixtape, because this is just straightfire. So, of course, the first track is called Wicked Race produced by, you guessed it, Russ. And track number two is produced by a static selector. Static selector.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Track number three, buckle up freestyle. produced by havoc easy uh track number four is produced by the alchemist which come on out like y'all know who the alchemist is like stop playing now all right and then track number five produced by boy wonder probably one of the most prominent producers in the game as of right now and then track number six produced by perfection which is uh ninth wonder that's interesting i don't know who ninth one it is maybe that's a new a newer producer but anyways so yeah um russ is back with chopp 2.5 he says the summer album is in the works but in the meantime this lyrically uh i keep saying enhanced but basically this this project showing off russ's lyrical capabilities is i think a direct response to russ talking about
Starting point is 00:05:25 he's the greatest white boy since the one they've wrapped about vomit and sweaters so anyways click my link to my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about russ releasing this lyrical album well project mixtape whatever you want to call it titled chop 2.5 and if you haven't heard it will you be giving it a listen
