See you soon is the start of the album.
I thought it would be nice just to get into Russ's overall statements when it comes to Santiago.
And he's been teasing in for months.
He's been having a whole rollout.
And it's something unlike he's ever done before.
It's one of those things where the Atlanta bass rapper is putting out an album two years after his last album and a certain type of hiatus that we're not used to as Russ fans.
I will say Russ is one of my favorite rappers of all time, especially the way he's able to say one thing in the past and actually come to fruition.
It's like a Jay-Z-esque effect because not only is he independent now, but he's still cultivating a fan base that goes out and purchases a ticket to see him live and large venues.
Anybody can sell out like a 100, 200 venue, not disrespecting those.
Obviously, you have to start somewhere.
but the way Russ was able to believe in himself
say certain statements from the start of his career
that a lot of people don't believe uh people don't know
Russ started making music in 2012
he was saying things about himself
that a lot of people would have been like bro
you're straight crazy in 2023
most if not all those things actually happen
so Russ for that fact is one of my favorite musicians
because not only did he talk to talk
but he also walked as well
like he walked a walk basically as well
I was trying to get to but yeah y'all get what I'm saying
this man is about what he says
and he says what he means
and a lot of rappers are professional liars
they'll say one thing when the popularity is really
something else ain't nothing like to say it is
with Russ he said exactly what he was going to do
and he ended up doing it and the way he laid it out
seemed very simplistic like oh it could never work out that way
and look where he's at now which is while Russ will
always remain one of my favorite rappers
of all time because of his business mind and the way he actually increased the longevity of his career
when a lot of media outlets did not like the way that Russ carried himself as far as thinking
that because people slightly him when he was coming up he could act very braggadocious in the way
that he's popping now a lot of it rubbed a lot of media members the wrong way especially
Nadeska for complex they had their notorious back and forth but I think they passed it up
But at the end of the day, you know, Russ does come off abrasive to some media outlets and just journalists in general.
But I believe that's with all artists and it could be even worse, I think, especially with Russ's success.
He could be talking even crazy because, one, he produces.
He raps, of course, sings.
Tours wonderfully, like goes on tour, sells out most, if not,
all the large venues that he performs at, performs overseas a lot.
You will really have to listen to a whole Russ interview to get to know how to succeed in the
rap game. There's no one formula that fits all, but the principles and the, basically the
foundation that Russ sets is something that all rappers should follow if they want to succeed
in life. The way that Russ talks about business and life is something that should be put in
to a book. I think he actually has a book. I think it's like a poem book. No, I think it's actually,
I forget what, you know what, I'm at to look it up. But actually, let me just do that right now.
While I'm on the subject, Russ, the rapper. I think he made a book. Yeah, he did. Okay,
he put out a book and it's titled, it's all in your head and get out of your way. I need to
go listen to that because they said it was a Wall Street Journal bestseller US Today
bestseller, an inspirational book by self-made musical superstar Russ reminding you
that it starts with you to believe in yourself and to get out of your own way.
Not going to lie to you, that just cements and just reiterates why I just have constantly
had Russ as one of my favorite rappers of all time.
not only because of the versatility, but simply for the fact that his business mind is leaps and bounds behind,
leaps and bounds above most, if not all rappers in the field.
So anyways, with that being said, speaking on the album, it's 14, 13 tracks.
It's pretty short, I believe, but I had to look at the runtime.
It's 41 minutes and 21 seconds, 13 tracks.
It's a pretty quick listen.
At the end of day, I haven't listened to the album,
just getting to the objective and just subjective perception of me from me to Russ.
I just feel like in general, he definitely don't get his flowers.
But hey, that's why you should give this album, Santiago, a listen.
So anyways, click my link, sure in my bio.
Let me know on one of my social medias.
What do you think about Russ?
Drop in his, uh, I can't even count.
at this point this man started in 2012 don't know how many albums it's been this ain't dedication i don't know
what it is one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen
fifteen fifteen fifteen fifteen
technically his sixteenth studio album judging off spotify and the list of albums it had his sixteenth
album will you be giving it a listen and when you do hopefully you do hope uh listen to it
After the listen, what is your favorite track from the album?
