So Sabrina Carpenter has covered Chappelle Rowan's Good Look Babe on BBC Radio Live Lounge.
So as far as Sabrina Carpenter covering that particular track, which is titled Good Luck Babe,
I think the overall winner right now in 2024 is definitely Taylor Swift.
Like, come on now, let's not be, let's not get crazy.
But as far as specific tracks and the amount of tracks you have impacting the masses and especially analytically.
Sabrina with please, please, please being at number two and then Expresso being at number three.
I know a lot of people would raise some type of alarms in their head as far as seeing a two and three from the same artist in the top four.
But it's happened before and it's not to say that it's unorganic.
or is not organic.
It's just basically saying that
Sabrina's time is now
and they're definitely pushing the button
as far as helping her get to the heights
that she needs to reach.
Because the biggest thing with this
is that if you start covering other tracks
that are popular on TikTok
and you're already popular
when it comes to the billboard charts,
that is a very interesting marketing strategy
when it comes to combining
the authentic rise of TikTok
with your already rise in the real world
with people going out buying the please, please, please track.
They're also buying the espresso track
and then of course you can't forget
the feather track by Sabrina.
That's also the 22nd most played track in the world.
So when it comes to her putting out her own album,
she's basically putting out an album
titled Short and Sweet
that's coming out
August 23rd
and basically I say that to say this
she already has an album out
which is previously
released
it was titled emails
it's literally titled emails I can't
that's just that's hilarious
it's um oh
emails I can't send forward
March 17th
2023 is
when that album came out.
So she's been putting out music for quite some time
as she started back in 2012 with I'll Be Home from Christmas
and take on the world theme song from
song from Girl Meets the World.
What in the world?
No pun intended.
It's something about these,
I don't know if she was a Disney actor.
It seems like she was just making music for Disney.
It's something to that.
You know, I'm not going to dive too deep into it.
But the amount of pathways to music stardom, Disney actors have been able to benefit from is very interesting.
The pathway from acting on Disney, Nickelodeon and getting into the music industry and having immense success, there's something to that.
But I'm just going to leave it there.
So anyways, Sabrina Carpenter chose to cover Good Luck Babe because she had, she's a huge fan of Chappelle Rowan.
Definitely doesn't have anything to do with the fact that it's the most popular TikTok song on the charts.
And she just couldn't help singing the song so she wanted to cover it.
So with that being said, I'm not mad at it.
Get it how you get it.
But somebody has to point out the smoking mirrors when it comes to the music industry.
I best believe.
Rowan had to sign off on this cover.
Carpenter definitely saw the benefit that it could bring to her sales
already being humongous regarding 2024 to top tracks.
So combining their success with their particular tracks,
I think will lead to strong momentum for both artists,
which leads me back to my first point with Sabrina Carpenter printing out a new album short and sweet coming out August 23rd because Laura knows that when this album comes out it's going to sales tremendously because Taylor Swift doesn't seem like she's coming off her high horse anytime soon as a hundred and twenty-eight thousand sales that she just put up when the album's been out I wish you would show me how many albums actually let me just look it up
So Taylor Swift, because I do believe she could dethrone a $128,000 first week.
But it's going to be, it's going to be a high task because, well, a tall task.
Because I don't know if Sabrina's ever been in 100,000 before.
But, yeah, April 19, 2024 and Taylor Swift still selling around $120,000 for,
$128,000 as far as week total sales.
To put that in perspective,
Billy Ilish just put out an album
not too long ago, and she's
selling around $107,000
regarding the whole week
units. So
it's not as easy as Taylor Swift makes it look,
even for an artist's big as Billy Elish, and even she
is putting up monumental numbers,
even having the second most played
album in the world with Hit Me Hard and Soft.
So Sabrina,
I would say this is going to be her most
successful album of all time for her for her career so short and sweet is the one this is going to be the
album that more people than ever will tune into for you specifically so to capitalize off of that
covering an already popular tic-tok track titled good luck babe is already building momentum off of
having outstanding momentum with please please please please
and the espresso track.
So this is just a masterful display of marketing,
especially if you want to dethrone the likes of Taylor Swift,
which if you've noticed,
Taylor Swift has started putting out different vinyl additions
to the album, the Torture Poets Department.
So whenever you start to see certain things in the industry come out
about vinyl additions and extra versions or extra songs
or all you get new T-shirt with this version,
June, just know that the sales, while they may not be slipping, they are trying to combat something.
It's always a competition in the music industry.
Even though it may not be animosity between Sabrina and Taylor, it's always competition
when it comes to music.
And do you think that Taylor Swift having the most popular album in the world currently is
satisfied with that when in the top five her tracks are nowhere to be found not even the top five
the top ten i think taylor swift her highest charting song which is funny because she has the
most play song in the world right for her highest charting song is fortnight with post malone and that's at
13 and that's been on the charts for about eight weeks so y'all do have that information which you
will because sabrina carpenter is coming for that number one spot with this album
that's coming out August 23rd
and y'all think it's coming out
August 23 for no reason
I wouldn't be surprised
if Taylor Swift messes around
and drops another deluxe edition
for Torset Poish Department
for August 23rd
I mean by that time
Taylor's going to whip up something
to try to show the world
that she's still
the main pop star
that's number one
so that been said

What do you think about Sabrina Carpenter covering the Chappelle Rowan song?
Good luck, babe.
And do you think it's a marketing ploy or tactic to eventually dethrone Taylor Swift?
