Starting point is 00:00:00 All my friends are in love and I'm the only one they call for a third willing. You guys. See, that's the problem. Now, it's a sad day in history when Sabrina Carpenter has to let that be known on her track, Nobody's Son, as track six off of the album, A Man's Best Friend. Well, it's really Man's Best Friend, not A. That specific track has everybody acted now because, of course, when you look at the lyrical content, when you come to realize that the process of writing these particular tracks, even from me,
Starting point is 00:00:37 somebody who covers the entire music industry, has to be very peculiar because are you telling certain things in your own life? Are you writing it from a fictional character perspective? It does seem like very Disneyland-Nicholodean-esque as far as the structure of a lot of these tracks off of this album. And now, if you're adding certain lyric videos that give you more context as far as specific tracks, it makes people wonder even more what the writing process was like. Because, of course, like I said earlier, Sabrina gave her shortlist as far as her favorite
Starting point is 00:01:18 songs that she's ever written. And a man's, my man on willpower was one of them. the other four it was no the other three was because i like the boy don't smile and we almost broke up again so artists like sabrina you know those type of artists who have came out and impacted and captivated the masses in a way that we've never seen before right because of course she did open up for taylor swiss tour performed at colchella and handline the short and sweet tour which was her first ever arena tour, but still, overall, she has a massive impact by herself in the music industry. So now, if it's getting into the mind of somebody who's able to construct these high quality
Starting point is 00:02:09 verses and evoke emotion, I believe as an interviewer, we want to hear them dissect Sabrina's brain as far as how she gets into that mode. Hopefully that makes sense. Because As far as the track, there's a lot of quotables on here. As far as the third willing, I mean, that's just one of them. There's all type of stuff that she goes on to say in this particular track. Probably should have guessed he's like the rest so fine and so deceiving. There's nobody's son, not anyone left for me to believe in. Me? No.
Starting point is 00:02:44 Yeah, I'm good. Just thought that he eventually would cave in and reach out. But no, sirree. He discovered self-control. He discovered it this week. like you know some of the lyrics like i said disney nicolodeon esk this is very interesting and i believe sabrina came from i'm not going to say a disney show but she definitely came from some type of show let me see Sabrina acting career i do believe that she came from
Starting point is 00:03:17 she a tv film okay okay she was from disney okay because you know obviously hey i'm not the age watching disney no more but uh she went she was on she was on uh she was my she was my heart and disney channel's girl meet world for real oh appearing in 72 episodes and then she was in earlier films including horns in 2013 the hate you give in 2018 oh show she's an actor actor there needs to be a documentary on these actors turned successful artists i think during some type of 360 but hey that's just to cynicism in me. There's no way these Disney acts are just having all these successful careers in the music
Starting point is 00:04:02 industry. But anyways, and then she made her Broadway debut in Mean Girls in 2020 playing Katie Harron. Hmm. Interesting. All right, we're not dissecting her acting career. Well, I guess we just did. But that's because, you know, it goes off my nobody's son track review.
Starting point is 00:04:23 There's the ultimate lyrics that she's giving. given very interesting as far as who's helping or how does she get into the mindset because it's very disney-esque as far as the relationships that she's uh depicting so with that being said let's fast forward and go to the end of the track as far or the end of the album as far as goodbye and dissect more into what this album is trying to convey as far as the theme
