Starting point is 00:00:00 Now you already know that when it comes to the K-pop Demon Hunter's coverage over here at Notorious Mass Effect, we have been knocking it out of the park. And by we, I mean, of course, in the entire notorious Mass Effect, as I definitely appreciate everybody who's been supporting my K-pop Demon Hunter's coverage. And when it comes to that, of course, now to give a little update. So ladies and gentlemen, the music, music industry may have shifted around, but as of right now, K-pop demon hunters is still one of the top dogs as far as projects, as far as singles, because currently it is the third most played project in the entire planet Earth. We ain't talking about South Korea, China.
Starting point is 00:00:52 We're not talking about all the different regions that you think it would be number one in. It's number one. Well, it's not number one, but it's number three as far as the entire. global engagement is considered so as the music industry shifts around tyler the creator did claim that number one spot with his album don't tap don't tap the glass and then you have morgan wallings i'm the problem and of course k-pop demon hunter soundtrack is still the third most listened to project in the world being now justin beaver alex warren travis scott bt s this is literally one of the most successful soundtracks of all time.
Starting point is 00:01:34 But then you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going to? So when it comes to that and me getting into the specific track, Soda Pop, and talking about how this is very interesting as there's two groups throughout this entire movie. And at some point, I'm definitely going to watch this. So a little foreshadowing. I'm definitely going to watch this movie.
Starting point is 00:01:54 I'm going to give my in-depth review on it and specific tracks. Just because the support for all of my K-pop Demon Hunters covers. have has been through the roof straight up immaculent the way that y'all been coming back time and time again to hear my coverage of k-pop demon hunters so with that being said just know this soundtrack is receiving a grammy we don't know how many grammies but you could book it that this soundtrack is definitely receiving a grammy as when it comes to the other soundtracks that i compared it to to there's a lot of different Disney type shows that the soundtracks went crazy as far as billboards being considered. Now, when it comes to the studio for this movie being behind Spider-Man across the Spider-Verse,
Starting point is 00:02:45 you come to realize that the ANR heads behind Spider-Man across the Spider-Verce putting together these different tracks for an entire project, whether it's Metro Blumen being one of the heads of the team or, whoever was the head of the team for the first animated Miles Morales movie, safe to say, they definitely know what they're doing as the first one has sunflower as far as the Miles Morales movie. The second animated Miles Morales movie had annihilate, had a lot of other tracks that was cultivated by Metro Boomin to the point where he was in the movie. And then now you have K-pop Demon Hunters where all of the tracks seemingly is going to chart at some point in time. because I believe eight out of the 12 tracks on the soundtrack has charted because if you look at it k-pop demon hunter soundtrack only has 12 tracks in totality eight of them have already charted so
Starting point is 00:03:45 i believe a grammy is definitely due for not only the two groups that's uh collaborating on this because if you don't know the saja boys is a fictional boy band made for the animated K-pop demon hunters. But the other group, which is the girl group, I believe that's the main focus. They are, let me see, I've adopted to it before. When it comes to the K-pop girl group, there's three girls. There's Rumi, Mara, Mira, and Zoe. So there's Rumi, Mira, and Zoe.
Starting point is 00:04:23 So there's two groups in totality. There's the Saja Boys. And then there's the girl group where they go, I think they go by the name of the, let me see, what was the name? The pop girl group is called Hunter slash X on Billboard. But when it comes to the fictional band, it's the Saja Boys as far as the rival demon boy band. You really have to watch the movie because even though it has a soundtrack, putting up numbers, like they had Taylor Swift, Morgan Wall and Drake do the soundtrack all at once,
Starting point is 00:04:55 It's still a phenomenal story as well as what I've heard. As far as when I watch it and gave my personal review, then I have more to say on that. But when it comes to the rest of the success of this soundtrack, safe to say that, of course, Netflix is going to try to make every single soundtrack after this sound like this one. Because when it comes to K-pop Demon Hunters and not only the mass, not only the mass, effect that is having but golden being the fourth most play track uh how's it done being the 23rd most played track and then you come to realize that what it sounds like is the 43rd most play track
Starting point is 00:05:38 take down is the 51st like this is a soundtrack to a movie and it's putting up numbers like it's a top tier superstar artist so we haven't seen soundtracks like this really perform um so consistently at the top in quite some time which is why i talk about in can't from Disney and that also won Grammys when it came around to giving awards for best soundtrack. So with that being said, something else I was wanting to get into was ultimately how the film premiered June 20th. So safe to say we're a month out and now we could finally say that this is not a fad that is here today, gone tomorrow. These people are still listening to the soundtrack. The soundtrack is still one of the biggest ever of all time and it's shaping up
Starting point is 00:06:25 to maybe be one of the better soundtracks that's ever existed. Because usually you give it some time to realize if you're just, if it's recency bias. But then once a month passes once you keep listening to the music, like I say, I don't think about watching the movie. You come to realize that hold up, this may be one of the greatest soundtracks of all time. Like, I kept bringing up Frozen 2 in Canto at the beginning
Starting point is 00:06:55 of my coverage of k-pop demon hunters but now is really putting up numbers to where it may even surpass certain lifelong classic soundtracks for the simple fact that it's more of a k-pop aesthetic as something very unique is not biting off of anything i mean i guess you could say maybe btas or black pink as far as the actual k-pop musicians that are making moves in the industry but as far as a fictional movie being based off k-pop and then a soundtrack is phenomenal as this i mean it's really one of the greatest combinations we've seen which is why the hunter slash x girl group versus the saja boys boy band is even more effective as a storyline because the music is hitting so anyways um a lot of things i was willing to say as far as this soundtrack has been stated as far as me letting you know how impactful
Starting point is 00:07:52 it's been but of course i will tell you one more time that of course when it comes to this soundtrack i would definitely consider watching a movie as this soundtrack's not going away anytime soon and indeed the movie is not going away anytime soon if netflix is going to do one thing is try to match the movie hype with the soundtrack because i would go out on the limb and say that the soundtrack i really don't look at the netflix charts like that i don't even know how to look at it uh because i don't cover tv shows and movies like that but when it comes to um the soundtrack versus the movie i believe the soundtrack is outperforming it leaps and bounds i'm not saying that the movie isn't performing well but the way that the soundtrack is performing is something that's i would
Starting point is 00:08:39 assume is exceeding everybody's expectation who was behind this project so anyways with that being said click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social media's what do you think about soda pop from the Saja Boys and as far as the K-pop Demon Hunter soundtrack what is your favorite track from the soundtrack and who do you think had the better outing on the soundtrack the boy band as far as Saja Boys or the girl group as far as Hunter slash X
