It is time to put respect on Alex Russo's name, I mean, on Selena Gomez name because guess what?
She has had a phenomenal 2025.
As when it comes to her latest offering, which is the In the Dark track off of Nobody Wants
This Season 2 soundtrack, safe to say when it comes to her own musical offerings in 2025 alone,
not only was she honored as billboard's latin women women of the year of war award but also she boasts three
billboard number one albums and of course when it comes to 42 entries on billboard hot 100
including her hits like lose you to love me talkie talky as far as in 2025 safe to say her overall
album also said also did phenomenal you know shout to benny blanco having immense um effect on that
particular album but when it comes to the album from selina gomez titled i said i love you first
it sold 120 000 units first week which if you didn't know it was her biggest debut ever on billboard
200 so of course i want to give selina gomez her flowers but also put a misrespect on bennie
bennie blanco's name as when it comes to i keep saying blanco is it that is blanco i'm trippie
I don't know why the L was an eye for a second.
Benny Blanco putting respect on his name as well, as when it comes to a producer,
he's had his hands on a lot of different things as far as in the musical industry, right?
So now, when you look at him winning Billboard Latin Music Award for crossover artists of the year
and scoring top 10 hits throughout his chart topping collaborations,
this is just another one to add to his belt.
He's one of the more prominent producers and just A&N.
in general as far as in the music industry you know how everybody says artists up and coming artists
specifically need to put more emphasis on having uh efficient a nr benny blanco is that specifically
is specifically what people is talking about as far as up and coming artists having the right anr
anyways with that out the way putting all the respect in the world on benny blanco's name
getting back into selena gomez because not only did she did for not uh
did she do phenomenal as far as on disney and her tenure as far as wizards of waverly plays happening
from 2007 to 2012 but then of course when you look at a lot of different musical offerings none of the
albums came out and has such a big mass effect like her current album i said i love you first so now to
follow that up with in the dark which is off of the project nobody wants this season two
which is a Netflix series, by the way.
I don't do TV or movie reviews,
so I don't know any personal insights on that TV or movie,
that TV show.
So just know the track specifically.
It's more of a synth-driven dance pop slash disco pop.
And the theme is unconditional love and emotional support through darkness.
You guys.
Isn't that such a heartwarming tale?
Well, anyways, some of the lyrics from the track is, quote,
and I'll be there when you lose yourself to remind you who you are.
You're still beautiful in the dark.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at this.
So anyways, as far as the backstory, it was recorded in 2018 for Seven Heavens,
a scrapped album that evolved into rare,
and it revived for Netflix sync after six years in the vault.
Goodness gracious.
and likened to Cape Bush's running up that healed viral resurgence.
And of course, it's tied to Selena Gomez' recent marriage with Benny Blanco,
just in case you didn't know I was putting respect to Beni Blanco's name as well.
Let's just say the marriage added a lot of high-quality music from Selena Gomez.
Not saying she couldn't have done it by herself.
I'm just saying that Beni Blanco had an immense impact in effect on Selena Gomez's latest offering.
So now, when you look at that specific,
And then of course when you look at the sales and things that in nature throughout the year of 2025, she hasn't had the type of longevity that you would assume from compared to other pop stars such as a Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Dean, but we're just comparing her to the cream of the crop, right?
She's still doing phenomenal as far as out the gate and definitely having a lot of support from her fans.
it's just not topping the charts or making the top 50 or the top 100 as far as singles or albums
respectively but what we can say is that she is still giving a lot of offerings in the year of 2025
musically as she didn't have to come back with another offering after selling 120,000 first
week with her latest album with Benny Blanco but she did come back with a single for this Netflix
season and of course it seems like a lot of people are enjoying it because
of the effect of the benny blanco marriage situation because them having a whole marriage
and then coming out with such a heartwarming track based on romance i think that adds a lot to the
conversation because of course what is going on as far as selina gomez and her um bouts with
mental health and her opening up about that which i'm not going to get into in depth let's just say
selina gomez herself has said that she was going through a lot of things that her friends and family saved her
So anyways, that's the main thing I was wanting to get into.
Who would have thunk that a six-year-old song would have had this type of resurgence for a Netflix show?
But guess what?
When you put out a phenomenal album and your fans supported to the point where you have your biggest, not one of, your biggest debut week ever on Billboard 200,
safe to say a lot of people are going to come back around and start calling and asking for more musical offerings from you.
So nobody wants this as far as the TV show was one of them.
ironically so now when you look at the selina gomez in the dark track click my link to my bio
let me know one of my social medias what do you think about the end of dark track by selina gomez
and do you believe that benny blanco had more or less to do with selina's resurgence in the music
industry
