Now I'm not joking when I say this.
This is my favorite track from Sexy Red.
Now, if you've listened to the podcast for a while now,
which if you haven't, you know, welcome.
Definitely make sure to hit that bell icon to be notified whenever I put up segments.
But, you know, shameless plug, set aside.
Sexy Red has one with this track.
I don't know what it is.
I think it's the actual chorus reminding me of Gucci Main.
And yes, ladies and gentlemen, I compare Sexy Red to Gucci Main.
this specific track because most of her music for me personally it just doesn't do it like the quality
level that I think sexy red puts out in a totality standpoint is below subpart but this specific
track with you know what to do the actual chorus the lyrics as a man as a straight male you have to
preface that doesn't really isn't relatable let's just say that but the actual chorus the melody
the cadence reminds me of Gucci main and it's a really it's a club anthem to the point that
I realized that this track is actually fire I mean listening to it the deliver um the way that
she delivered her verse and especially the chorus I think it's the chorus that got me because
overall usually a sexy red track to me is a one subject matter and then that's it which you know
technically this is the same but whenever you have this type of cadence that reminds you a Gucci man
you place off that nostalgia factor to the point where now I'm listening to it I'm like hey this is
kind of catchy and then you get to the point where I think I like this track so that's basically
why I'm at with this specific track as far as my personal sentiments on it now as far as the objective side
of it sexy red is still one of the hottest rappers in the game as far as statistical achievements
because i mean she still to this day has a track on the top of 100 as far as you my everything
and while it does feature Drake and you may say oh it's only because of Drake keep in mind
Drake currently is putting out music at breakneck speed I mean the amount of tracks this man
put out in the past two to three weeks you would have thought that he was just making up for
young boy being locked up because the amount of output that he's given us is insane over the span of two
weeks he's given a circadian rhythm no face it's a housekeeping and i think two other tracks if i'm not
mistaken he's like taking them off the sps because you know if people are not going to listen to him on a
grand scale then he's probably like well let me just save it for my fenced the page which is a plot twist
Anyways, based off that, he only has one track in the top 100.
It's up, which is a 63rd most played track in the world, which is lower than you expect
for Drake because it's only been on the charts for about three weeks.
And we're comparing Drake to himself, usually when he drops.
I mean, it's in top 10 at least.
But it's up, only been on the charts about three weeks.
It's only at 63rd, as far as the most played track in the world.
Then for his second track on the charts, he has you, my everything with sexy red.
So it's apparent that Sexy Red has our own fan base that really, really enjoys music.
Now, why do they actually enjoy Sexy Red's music?
The world may never know.
But this particular track that she just put out on our DSPs today, which is titled, You Know What to Do?
I think would just ultimately boost up that specific track with You My Everything.
And then also this specific track, you know what to do.
will impact the charts, I think, because a lot of artists in the female space have been putting out
music and just horrendously flopping. So I don't want to name any names, but one of them, which
I do enjoy her music and the overall effort she puts into her verses, but she did not impact
the charts at all. And that's a shame to say because she put out an entire body of work that
I thought was pretty decent.
And she currently has zero tracks in the top of 100.
And then you look at another artist that's currently going through a lot of controversy with her best friend.
And some would say she's the hottest female rapper in the game, not based off music.
But when considering music, she also doesn't have anything in the top of 100.
And then you go to one of the biggest artists in the game as far as Megan the Stalion.
And she's actually charting on the tracks.
but she also has an entire album out.
And the track that's charting the highest for her is a track with Glowrilla,
which shout out to her.
She's also one of the hottest rappers in the game, you know, besides Sexy Red.
So when I look at it, I think Sexy Red and Glovilla is currently the hottest rappers
in the game because, you know, to be fair, Nicky Minaj technically released their album
last year.
I think it was like November, December, December.
but technically she released her album last year and while that has significant impact on the charts
it's no longer charting as far as any of those tracks in the top of hundred so when you have a sexy red
and a glowrilla impact on the charts which granted glowrilla is technically charting higher right now
but over time as far as covering this in 2024 sexy red has had um higher numbers in 2024
out of all the female rappers which is a significant accomplishment in itself and which is
why a lot of people give her her just do because who would have thought that in the year of
2024 sexy red would be the hottest rapper statistically speaking objectively speaking when you
had a Nikki a Cardi a lotto ice spice who would have who would have thunk right so as far as her
being under gamma which is ran by Larry Jackson I think that has a big thing that's a that's a big reason
forth this but you do not want to put aside the amount of effort in the marketing strategies that
her team's her team puts together for her to be on this global scale combined with the fact
that sexy red is delivering some pretty catchy choruses and while her verses are beyond provocative
I think it works for her specific audience and with her going on tour and
And selling approximately 75,000 tickets across 28 shows,
it showcases that she has an actual solid fan base in hip hop.
Because everything is down across the board from music consumption if you're in hip hop.
Now, as far as the country and pop genres, I mean, you have to airplay slash radio to thank for that.
But, you know, we're going to give them the just due.
They are completely dominating the musical landscape.
But when it comes to hip hop, shout out to sexy red for carrying the torch when it comes
to affecting the masses, even though her music is not my personal cup of tea.
But you know what is?
My personal cup of tea?
This specific track, you know what to do.
Because if she gets Gucci-Man on this for a remix, I think it's up.
Because I don't know if they made a track together before.
But I think Sexy Red and Gucci-Mane making a track would be the biggest,
would be one of the biggest tracks in 2024 if they were to do something together.
I mean, ironically,
Sexy Red actually has a track titled Female Gucci Man.
I totally forgot about that.
But anyways, yeah, so that's what I think about this track.
Hopefully her fans can not be on my case anymore
about hating on Sexy Red,
even though you're not just getting my personal opinion.
You know what I'm saying?
Everybody got one.
But as far as this particular track, you know what to do.
To me, it's straightfire.
And probably my favorite sexy Red track.
I mean, definitely for 2024.
So with that being said, click my link tree and my bio.
Let me know one of my social medias.
What do you think about sexy res?
Latest track, you know what to do out now in all DSPs?
And do you think is fire or trash?
