Starting point is 00:00:04 I mean, where to start when we're talking about an artist, a musician that put out my favorite album of 2024. So much to get into. I mean, do we want to talk about numbers? Do we want to talk about quality? Do we want to talk about the Grammys? Which technically is numbers and quality because now it's your peers looking at you and saying, you know what? He should probably be nominated not only for Song of the Year. best new artist of the year
Starting point is 00:00:36 best country song of the year best country solo performance oh don't worry i'm gonna keep going best melodic rap performance because if you don't know he helped bionc out with her album you know as far as the country aspect um and the specific track spaghetti is what's nominated for best melodic rap performance and of course
Starting point is 00:00:55 the best remixed recording for the david guetta hopefully i said that right remix of a bar song. So, you know, as far as the things and the sentiments I have towards Shibuzi, the actual track A Bar Song is just ultimately out of this world. I mean, I remember reading off a stat where a bar song held the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for 16 weeks.
Starting point is 00:01:32 the number one most play track on planet earth he held that for 16 weeks now obviously it wasn't consecutively because then you know it takes it to account that it was just you know some people going to be like oh well post malone had a number one or uh Sabrina had a number one or not uh Kendrick i don't know if kendrick ever had a number one i think he did i don't know i'm not trying to be funny i think i actually forgot if he uh let me see not like us you know it's it's sliding you know i mean it's it's far down the list now you know what i'm saying uh this man went missing and thought not like us was gonna hold yeah i don't i don't see it at all where it's not like us don't tell me it fell off oh here it is okay it did it did uh ended up it ended up uh achieving number one
Starting point is 00:02:19 okay so with that being considered there was other tracks like not like us um i had some help love somebody my morgan walling uh too sweet obviously it was other tracks that had number one But as far as the amount of times, it rose back up to number one because it's been on the charts for about 30 weeks, ladies and gentlemen. And it's only slid to number three as far as the lowest it went. It is consistently the most played track on planet Earth. 24 has been the year of everybody at the bargain, Tipsy. And with that being said, he has a new track out now titled Good News. Now, why is he putting out this track?
Starting point is 00:03:10 Of course, to reflect on all of the dominance he's had. I mean, he just took a big poop on his competition. I mean, as far as a bar song and the statistics, Billboard also put out a stat where, you know, Billboard's been around since like the 1950s, right? And a bar song by Shabuzi has a song. the most number one placements of all time. Let me repeat that. Billboard has been around since 1950s. A bar song has the most number one placements of all time because of course it has 16, which is insane. 16 weeks of you having the most popular song on the planet. I mean, that's just insane.
Starting point is 00:03:56 All right. I think y'all get the point, right? So anyways, new track, good news is out now on DSPs. basically reflecting on all of the ginormous, the mammoth amount of success that this man has had as far as just being an impactor of the masses. I mean, it's just on another level. Talk about actual notorious mass effect. This man is a one of one when it comes to the amount of revenue generated for one particular track in 2024. I mean, to the point where not like us, it's not even comparable to a bar song. you already know how successful not like us is. I mean, it's by far the most successful hip-hop disc track of all time.
Starting point is 00:04:41 And a bar song is way more successful than that. So if that puts into any perspective for my hip-hop fans, how popular a bar song is, hopefully that clears it up for you. So anyways, obviously, I read off his Grammy nominations. Overall, unlike Kendrick, you know, unlike White Tank Top, he showed up to the BET Awards talking about Shibuzi and you know just put on for his people you know what I mean how how hard is that you know how complicated is to show up to the BETy awards but you know I guess it was too much for Kendrick right anyways anyways he's gonna show up to the Grammys though but you know it's whatever that he was for the people but anyways um yeah Shibuzzi showed up to the BET Awards I've obviously cleaned up I performed his uh trot topping track bar a bar song of course and then overall He basically talked about a lot of things as far as his journey, his hard work and dedication,
Starting point is 00:05:38 because if you don't know, he's been putting out music for quite a while. I mean, some people was thinking he was ripping off Lil Nas X, which, you know, just have to excuse the ignorance with that take. Overall, this man's discography, he's been putting out music since 2014 to just give a little lip-man scale, Lil Nas X, which no shade to him. I'm just talking about.
Starting point is 00:06:01 you know just to give people um something to refer to little nuzzi was putting out music since 2019 so shibuzi not only has been putting out music longer but has been doing the hip-hop and country thing longer than little noss x and that is why ultimately when they tell you to not give up on your dreams and to continually work towards your ultimate goal in life and not let anybody you know tear you down when it comes to achieving your goals that's why these type of a conflict are so highlighted because it showcases that it's possible even after what it's 2024 after a decade you're still um grinding and now you just come out with your biggest track of your career of all time like i don't want to hurt shibuzi fans out there but he's never going to have a track like this again
Starting point is 00:06:52 it's i'm not going to say it's statistically impossible because obviously that'd be incorrect but i mean it's like it's like when cobi put up 81 like nobody thinks he's going to be the anytime soon. You know what I mean? Shibuzi put up 81 points and you know it's okay that that's your your highest statistical achievement. Like my brother that beat up that beat everybody. Like you don't have to reach that again. You already set the bar and it's okay if you don't reach that again. But as far as quality level, I do think he's going to match that and maybe even exceed it with this next album. Because if you think about it, after he helped out Beyonce with her album, Cowboy Carter, which Beyonce is on the record talking about Shibuzi's influence on her album, which he's even featured twice on there.
Starting point is 00:07:36 So, you know, before the Bhop come after me, like, oh, she writes her own music. Like, first off, she doesn't. But, you know, anyways, where I've been isn't where I'm going, had big X to plug. That surprised me, you know, surprisingly, which is my favorite track off of the album, actually. Drink Don't Knee, no mix is my favorite track off of the album. Noah Cyrus Paul Cawthon So if you think about it
Starting point is 00:08:03 As far as the heavy hitters I mean he could turn around And really try something as far as like Trying to not replicate the success But definitely You know get more of anticipation Because if you put Beyonce on that next album Which that should be easy
Starting point is 00:08:21 Hopefully she doesn't pull a Kendrick And just like Hopefully she doesn't pull what Kendrick did To a DJ Muster and just completely disabandoned him after, you know, his, his most successful track ever, right? If Beyonce comes back for Shabuzzi's next album, Taylor Swift, I could see her hopping on, um, the album. And then especially, um, post Malone, I can see that happening.
Starting point is 00:08:51 And then you never know. I mean, with the amount of, uh, cowboy hats that Drake has been showing his dad in, he may just pop up and try to get a track with Shibuzi. You know how he is. So anyways, I wonder what type of accent he's going to use for this track. But anyways, with that being said, I just want to give Shibuzi just the highest flower as possible. Because as a musician in country,
Starting point is 00:09:16 looking the way that you do and to be accepted like you are to the masses, is very inspiring to let people, who look like you do know that you can make it in that genre. Ultimately, that's what I wanted to say about Shibuzi. So, you know, in all intensive purposes, obviously I tell a lot of jokes, but when you talk about the barriers that Shibuzi broke with this type of success of a bar song, I mean, safe to say that country will inevitably be more or less hesitant to give, us a listen when it comes to our rendition of country music. That's basically the biggest thing I want to
Starting point is 00:10:06 say. So shout out to Shibuzi for that. Anyways, click my link to your in my bio. Let me know one of my social media's. What do you think about Shibuzzi's new track, latest track that just dropped titled Good News that's out now on all DSPs?
