There is a reason why as far as the recording process, I recorded the Polo G segment and now I'm recording the Roddy Rich segment because it's basically one and the same as far as public perception and how I feel about their quality of music.
It's very similar to Polo G.
As a public perception is that Roddy Rich has fell off.
But personally, I enjoy this specific artist's music a lot more than the masses would as far as the numbers.
Because when you sell 35,000 first week with your latest album all the way back in 2022,
it's safe to say that the masses is currently not in your favor.
So with me personally enjoying your music, I have to frame it in a way that's of course subjective,
but giving certain advice to the specific artist so that hopefully they could turn around this
downward trajectory.
Because I'm not going to call it a hate train.
But I will say that for a person who literally had one of the most successful songs of all
time putting him on a list with the greatest of grace like i'm talking drake m&m jz 50 cent yes i'm talking
about roddy rich still because specifically when you look at the stat rappers that have spent the most
weeks at number one on the charts obviously the goat is up there at 92 and then you know there's a huge
gap i'm here talk about all right let me not be disrespectful but there's a huge gap the second is
M&M at 59, JZ at 47, 50 Cent at 35.
We're talking about the most weeks at number one with the specific track.
No, no, no, just the most weeks in general.
And this was dated back in March 27th, 2024.
So it's not like a stat I pulled from like 22.
You know what I'm saying?
Anyways, let me get back to my list.
57, 35, T.I. at 33 and Kanye West at 31.
and then look who we have here.
Roddy Rich at 22.
So only legends are on this list.
I mean, the next one after him is ludicrous.
We're talking about MC Hammer, Outcast.
So you have to realize there's no way for Roddy Rich to ever recreate the success of the box.
I know he probably doesn't want to hear that.
I know.
Well, I don't know.
But I could assume if somebody in this camp said that to him, they would probably get kicked out.
But somebody has to be truthful as far as how we look at Roddy Rich.
Don't try to create the box.
Just go into the studio and put your life experiences into the music and just let that be it.
Because for Roddy Rich, I think people appreciate his artistry more than his peers.
From a creative standpoint, I think his creative vision is respected.
more than his peers. So my advice would be to put your life experiences into the music and just
let it speak for itself. Because obviously trying to put out what you think will and captivate
the masses is not working. So just to be pleased with yourself, to be pleased with your soul,
you know, make music based off your life experiences and what you're going through. And
people will start to enjoy it just like they did with
please excuse me for being antisocial you know
that title was very authentic to how you
currently feel about the
interactions in the world right
so
remember the time where
you literally had pop artist begging
I mean straight up just begging for the number one spot
I mean, Selena Gomez was asking fans to help her new album go number one.
I mean, think about the box and what it did as far as analytically,
which is why I put Roddy Rich up there with the greats
as far as the most consecutive weeks at number one.
And then Justin Bieber even came out,
and he was saying, please stream my song because it was just to the point where
Yomi by Justin Bieber was competing.
with the box and rare vaselina gomez was competing with the box and the box been out for like months
at that point and it was still number one so to get back to that point it's something that i was strive
for but don't make it the main focus the main focus needs to be you putting your life experiences
into the music and just letting it play out how it plays out because at the end of the day at least
you can say you put out your story your life story that was unique
to you and live with the results because I wouldn't let the masses dictate what I do creatively
because then that is when the real fall off would start. So I don't think Roddy Rich is falling off
off objectively speaking first week sales wise he's definitely fell off from the 100,000 first week
sales that he used to do especially with please excuse me for being antisocial and it seems
like live life fast from a quality standpoint had too many misses to now they're looking at your
whole career and thinking that your prime is in your past so I would just try to take your life
experiences because obviously that's only that that's only attributable to you is that attributable
is that word you can only attribute that that to yourself so hopefully that
was good advice and if not hey you know what I'm saying the box be hidden now is that obviously I mean
if I was little and I was X I would say that was a pause you know what I'm saying but I'm not so anyways
click my link to my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about Riding
Rich's current perception in the music industry not even the music industry because honestly
that's another thing I'm not I'm not ending off yet Rite Rich has a great um reputation with the media
And I think that needs to be stated.
Because a lot of these artists are you know what to the media.
Like they could give their you know what to kiss to the media
because they feel like we're beneath them,
even though without us, they wouldn't be as big.
It's the reason why they use this to get big
and then try to act like we're beneath them.
It's my tricks and the smoking mirrors they try to play.
But when they're just starting out,
you need a certain media talking heads
who are influential to talk about your,
product to get it out there to the masses. So,
um, Roddy Rich's character, his reputation is very, very positive in media spaces,
which is why you don't see people just dog piling on him when he doesn't really live up to
certain expectations. And, um, yeah, I'll leave you with that. So anyways, click my link
in my bio. Let me know on one of my social medias. What do you think about Roddy Rich's new track
out now titled Survivor's Remorse and
As far as the perception of Roddy Rich when it comes to the masses, how do you think he could change that into more positive critical acclaim?
