Starting point is 00:00:04 Another year, another Spotify rap for 2024. Now, y'all have to excuse me if my voice does not sound like it usually does. Let me just say that as far as the elements and the continuous nature of me being sick, that is definitely new to me. But in totality, I think I'd be able to get through this as Spotify rap for 2024 is now here. and people could not be more upset. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, even though Spotify is using AI, which in all intents and purposes,
Starting point is 00:00:46 can automate a routine and repetitive task, right? And basically analyze large volumes of data, objectively speaking, AI is better at that, right? Why did Spotify wrap 2020? for come out and give us random names to talk about the genres that we love instead of giving us our top albums, our top genres, which they had in previous Spotify raps. And my, remind you that I am as far as the podcast, very grateful of Spotify, but what needs to be said has to be said, right Spotify rap
Starting point is 00:01:33 24 for some reason is lackluster even though it has all the tools to make it one of the best Spotify raps in recent years so when you're missing the big genres the big albums that people have been listening to throughout the years
Starting point is 00:01:50 and instead giving them random labels of their genre like oh pink princess playlist like obviously people are going to be upset. So without out the way, that's basically how people are feeling. It's a lot of just nonsense throughout the Spotify rap and really just doesn't focus on what you've been listening to throughout the year is very bare bones. And I'm wondering why in the world would Spotify rap be released like this? Is it because that they've learned to make the data less personalized so that
Starting point is 00:02:24 maybe renegotiation tactics can't be used against them as far as, oh, Look how many people say they listen to my album or song or whatever. Like, I'm wondering why do they lessen the amount of personal, personalized details into Spotify rap. I mean, objectively speaking, this is the most underwhelming Spotify rap that we've ever received. And they're using AI. I just don't see how to two correlate, right? Anyways, so we're going to get into my Spotify rap, of course, because we've got to get into my infatuation of the Canadian no ditty but as far as musically speaking he is unequivocally the goat right and we're going to get to
Starting point is 00:03:07 why in just a second but let me just remind you that for everybody who is listening to the pedophile anthem let's just say that my Spotify rap is very indicative of how I was technically fair for both sides but we're going to get to that in a second so with that being said Basically, Spotify came out and said that originally Spotify Rapp 2024 was set for the cutoff October 31st. That's when it was cut off to prepare for Spotify Rapp 2025. But they came out and basically said that the entire year would be calculated for Spotify Rapp 2024. Well, obviously the entire year, except for the last three weeks of December. But you get what I'm saying, right?
Starting point is 00:03:57 So even though they. said that. November stats have been mysteriously missing from a lot of Spotify raps to the point where people came out and was upset about the algorithmic discreferencies when it comes to certain top artists and top songs, especially their personal playlist because it didn't count offline listens or didn't fully account when you listen to longer songs, which I don't get the whole shorter songs being preferred over longer songs. But as far as the Spotify reactions, mind you, it's very apparent that people upset. And that's one of the reasons. So another thing is that Spotify didn't come out and say, oh, we're just limiting our Spotify rap. So be prepared for
Starting point is 00:04:49 it not to have as much personalized details, which is why people are so upset with Spotify Rap 2024 being the way it is. So with that, being said, I think that's basically it. Overall, Spotify could not get away from the industry trend, which is to lay off a boatload of employees as 2020. Spotify laid off 2,300 employees. So we don't know if that affected the quality of the 2024 Spotify rap, but we could assume with less people to be able to work for them than that. these type of things would be more of a tall task, even if they're using AI.
Starting point is 00:05:33 I still go back to, there's a reason why people are boycotting AI is for the simple fact that it could basically do your job at a way more efficient rate, if that makes sense. So now, when you lay off 2,300 people, and then certain things come about that is less quality when you,
Starting point is 00:06:00 using something that should be unequivocally better as far as a tool to give us higher quality, then that's when people get upset. So anyways, I'm not mad at that. Other analytical details about this is that Spotify 2024 rap was developed in partnership with Google's Notebook L.M. Now, don't ask me what that is because I have no idea, right? I don't know what that is, but we're going to get into what Notebook did in just a second with my personal Spotify. rap and with that being said we're going to do a recap over my personal Spotify rap we're going to get into the top charts as far as the well the chart toppers as far as the different genres u.s i want to look at mexico uh who else that's probably it probably japan maybe anyways we're
Starting point is 00:06:53 going to get into a lot of uh chart toppers for the simple fact that this is analytic dreams notorious mass effect so this is definitely up my alley after I love to look at what is impacting the masses the most, right? Notorious if I might ask, you know, if I might give a pun myself, right? Anyways, with over 26.6 billion streams just cutting right to the chase, Taylor Swift is just undeniably just the utmost mammoth when it comes to music consumption. 26.6 billion with a beat streams for Taylor Swift. Just clap it up for the Swifties because, man, without y'all, I don't even know how
Starting point is 00:07:36 this music industry would go around, right? Taylor Swift says something and the music industry just falls to the knees and they do it for it, right? So with that being said, Taylor Swift is, for a consecutive year, Spotify's most streamed musician. So she's the most popular musician by far. It's not even close. so anyways um what else was something else i was going to talk about so with that uh we're also going to get to podcast and things of that nature as far as the chart topers but uh yeah this is not
Starting point is 00:08:10 going to be too long because of course i'm going to give my own recap of 2024 because you know i know a thing too about the music industry as far as you know if you follow the podcast we're going to detail that and and uh we're going to expound upon that in my next episode which is episode 144. Don't know where it's title yet because I haven't put together yet, but we're definitely going to talk about just the recap of 2024. I best believe we're going to be getting into a lot of Drake and Kendrick. So with that being said, without further ado, let's transition. Wait, how to Anthony Fantano say let's transition into my Spotify rap, 2024. Now, if I told you how long it took me to get this up on the screen to work effectively, y'all will laugh at me. So I'm
Starting point is 00:08:56 not going to tell you to look like an old head. But let's just say, to even do this, it gave me a lot of trouble, right? Whole time, I was trying to bring up the audio. And it was like, oh, if you use OBS and studio mode, it's not going to show up in the audio mixer. So that means that you've got a transition for the audio mixer to pop up. And the whole time, I'm like, why is this not popping up? It was because I was in studio mode.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Just for the little, the tech geeks out there, the tech nerds. I'm pretty sure y'all can relate to the technological struggles that it just randomly happens right but anyways all right so i found a way to pull up my phone so that we can look at this together so first thing we're going to do is just getting to the use of AI and what they used it for and this ultimately is what everybody experienced as far as the use of AI and basically as you can see right here for the first time ever to AI hosts dive into your year and music built with Google's notebook LM.
Starting point is 00:10:00 Hey, you know what I'm saying? Got to make sure to get the notebook or get the Google plug in there. There's something else I was trying to bring up. Let me see if I can.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Okay, let me see if I can copy this. And then if I can put this. Can I put this right there? Oh, that's not it. That's not it at all. That's not it. I think it's Discord V. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:33 So basically I am having a slow moment, but hey, it's not going to be a slow moment for any longer because I have still not found it. I wonder if I should cut this part out. Now, forget that. Y'all get to suffer with me, right? It's only right. We've been in this for like, what, two years? Y'all get to suffer with me. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:59 So I found it. We drag it down here. All right. So Shoes. I need that. Let me see if I can bring up. Okay, my banner, my socials. Okay, I think I did it.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Hold up. Make sure. Yeah, okay, I think I did it. Guess what I was doing this whole time? I was just making it to where I could do this. Hey, you know what I mean? I'm old. Y'all just got to, you got to deal with it.
Starting point is 00:11:38 I mean, you got to do with me. You know what I was saying? Anyway, so that's why I was fixing the whole time. But anyways, all right, so let's get back to my AI version of my 2024 rap. Because apparently these two AI hosts are going to break down this like a kilo of my Lysiris. Right. So anyways, what that means said? Let me click off of this.
Starting point is 00:11:59 All right. Y'all should be able to hear it right now. All right, Drea. Get ready. It's time for your 2024 Spotify wrapped. Hold up. Is it doing a double time? I think it's doing double time.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Let me just bring this back. All right, let me see. Hmm. Street from Google's note. Okay, it is doubly. Why is it doubling the audio? It's not doing that at the beginning. Book L.M.
Starting point is 00:12:30 Ah, here we go. Okay, cool. All right, shouldn't be doubling anymore. If it is, then, let's see. Let me switch this. Yeah, it shouldn't be doubling anymore. Okay. Like I said, 24 going on 80.
Starting point is 00:12:46 The numbers are going to keep going up every time I have technical difficulty. So with that being said, let's get into my AI version of my personal Spotify rap. Right. Anyways. All right, Drea. Get ready. It's time for your 2024 Spotify wrapped deep dive. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:04 So first off, who's Drea? That's all I want to know. I just want to know who's Drea. As y'all can see, actually, y'all can't see it. Okay. I don't think you can see it right here either. Let me click. As you can see, that says Made for Dreams.
Starting point is 00:13:23 So they have my name, right? They have my name. D-R-E-A-M-Z, right? Why in the world are they calling me Dreia? Are they trying to be funny? You know this is 2024. I could get them canceled. Anyways, that's not how I identify.
Starting point is 00:13:38 And I'm upset. Okay. Anyways, let me get back to it. So, starting off on the wrong foot, of course. But hey, that's why I wanted to play this in the first place because I had to get a video recording of this or else y'all wouldn't ever believe me.
Starting point is 00:13:53 But they are miss, how they want to say? They're not calling me the right name, right? This is not what I go by. So technically, they should get canceled. That's all I want to know. All right, Drea, get ready. It's time for your 2024 Spotify. wrapped deep dive.
Starting point is 00:14:14 We're your hosts coming to you straight from Google's Notebook LM. And we've got your musical year all wrapped up and ready to unwrap. First, Andrea, 34,633 minutes of listening. Wow, that puts you in the top 9% of Spotify listeners worldwide. You really know how to curate a soundtrack. Hey, top 9%, it's not too shabby. You know what I'm saying? February 23rd, 446 minutes.
Starting point is 00:14:38 That's a lot of tunes. Wait, what should you say 400? I wish I could just like press the rewind button. Hold on, let me see if I can. Here we go. In February 23rd, 446 minutes. That's a lot of. What she said?
Starting point is 00:14:52 446? That's not what she said. Hold up. Because I was like, hold on. That's not even correct. And February 23rd, 446 minutes. 446. All right, guys.
Starting point is 00:15:05 Time to turn into some mathematicians. We're about to figure this out. Because 446, right? 446 and then I'm saying minutes and then okay so let's divide that by what 60 yeah mathematician here you know what I'm saying that's about seven and a half hours I believe I think that's seven and a half seven point four I believe that's seven hours and 40 minutes so it's over a half right hey like I said mathematician who dollars play so so seven hours seven and a half hours spent on
Starting point is 00:15:41 whatever that date was February 23rd and I tried to look up what song came out on that date maybe I'm tripping hold let me just go to my podcast because this is a better timeline of anything else I could look up that's why you know you should definitely follow the podcast notorious mass effect you know we break down the music industry at all times um February 23rd okay let me just scroll all the way down because I think that'd be faster so we're in October February 23rd right what came out powered up by Jay Cole no Snoop Dog declines 100 million
Starting point is 00:16:23 only fans offer what in the world I don't see anything that came out February 23rd what could have came out okay let me see February 22nd let me see okay we have Jay Cole Beyonce Act 2 Normani Doja Cat machine gun Kelly bad bunny Quavo maybe the Quavo thing Cuevo's trichymouthy was pretty fire I don't know what I could have been listening to
Starting point is 00:16:47 on February 23rd that many times Was I on the road? January, February March January February. I don't know what I would have been doing on February 23rd and I saw a lot of other people have February 23rd as their most listened to day I was like, did Spotify just make that up? I don't know what I would have been listening to
Starting point is 00:17:05 on that specific day and usually the way that like the podcast is go the podcast is where now I can like go back to my own segments and be like oh this is probably what I was listening to but I honestly don't know what I would have been listening to Drake versus move the most death this is before the Drake and Kendrick beef Drake and Yeat the Drake dropped something okay one more time let me see what music release memory let's just do 22nd 20 second 20 second through 23rd 2024
Starting point is 00:17:43 because I'm honestly like what could have made that my most stream day French Montana okay maybe that was it I did listen to the French Montana album a lot Rod Stewart who is that real estate kid cuddy
Starting point is 00:18:02 singles Luther oh goodness it gave me the whole list little dirk old days no yeah I don't know what it was definitely wasn't sweetie I'm saying, the best artist ever on mute, you know what I'm saying? Anyways, shout out the sweetie though.
Starting point is 00:18:21 Anyways, let's get back to my rap, because I don't know what could have made February 23rd my most listened to day. But anyways, let's keep going on. That's a lot of tunes. What do you think was going on that day? I'm picturing something epic. A long drive with the windows down. Okay, I'm going to switch to my desktop audio because literally, that's what the technical
Starting point is 00:18:40 difficulties came from. It was not popping up. And as soon as I start recording, now my desktop audio is. picking up my discord what in the world is going on all right so let's keep going all right we're back so basically took some time to figure out why in the world was it playing through both outputs right and i found nothing as far as how to solve it because it was messing up i was like you know what i just i'm just glad it's actually playing sound so let's just even if i'd the mute one or mute the other let's just keep going with the spotify rap so um technical
Starting point is 00:19:15 difficulties aside let's get back into the AI version of my Spotify rap and of course it was talking about the amount of music i listened to on February 23rd which is seven hours and 40 minutes 43 minutes to be exact i don't know what i was doing hey i still can't find out of what was so significant about February 23rd anyways let's keep going in February 23rd 246 minutes that's a lot of tunes a lot of tunes what do you think was going on that day i'm picturing something epic A long drive with the windows down, or maybe a legendary house party with all your friends. This is actually insane. This is why people are going on strike.
Starting point is 00:19:56 But let's not a side track. We've got a whole year of music to unwrap. Speaking of unwrapping, let's dive into your top track. This is the song you just couldn't get enough of in 2024. Drum roll, please. It is. Like that by future. Classic.
Starting point is 00:20:08 I bet that was on repeat. Hey, he already knows. She is a part of the culture, ain't she? You know what I'm saying? She already knows. She said, actually, I forgot what she said. It was so forgettable. But, you know, it's all right.
Starting point is 00:20:21 You know, as long as like that gets his proper due in 2024 as being one of the best hip hop tracks of all time, then I'm good. You know what I mean? I can rest assured that I put respect on that track's name because apparently a lot of other people wasn't because I was towards the top listeners. But, you know, that's whatever. Let's keep going. 3 plays that puts you in the top. 0.01% of listeners. 0.01%? Hold on. That's like, I mean, that's pretty significant.
Starting point is 00:20:51 Anyways, let's keep going. Speaking of unwrapping, let's dive into your top track. I just want to hear the stats one more time. Just one more time. 24. Drum roll, please. It is. Like that by future. Classic. I bet that was on repeat. You're telling me, 93 plays that puts you in the top 0.01% of listeners globally. No way. That's incredible. Talk about being a super fan.
Starting point is 00:21:12 And you weren't just late to the party either. Definitely not. You started listening on release. day, March 22nd. You were ahead of the curve on this one. Definitely a trendsetter, always on top of what's hot. I like that. I like that. So we've talked about your top track, but what about the artist? 93 plays for Metro and Futures like that track. I would shout out side 7, but we're going to get to him in a second. Who truly ruled your year. Let's reveal your top artist. Drumroll again. And it's Drake. Of course it is. With 5,000, 3,000.
Starting point is 00:21:46 303 minutes of Drake and an 18-day listening streak, you were practically living in his world. Oh, hold on now. You're in the top 0.3% of his listeners worldwide. Okay. Practically family at this point. I don't know about that. I wonder if it's Drake's blend of introspective rap and soulful crony that really got you hooked. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:05 Maybe even. Are they roasting me? Hold on, hold on. I don't know. They try roast. That's messed up, man. They're like, hey, I bet you're a super fair. Like, you, you practically family at this point.
Starting point is 00:22:20 Like, you listen to him so often that he might as well just, no, let me hear that back. Because they was going kind of crazy with the, you know, the sneak distance. Let me hear this again. And an 18 day listening streak. 18 day, okay. I think I saw, let me see. That is pretty significant.
Starting point is 00:22:40 18 days is a lot. You started listening on release day, March 22nd. I want to hear these stats for Drake. I think they'll sneakdisser a little bit. Always on top of what's hot. Okay, so we've talked about your top track, but what about the artist who truly ruled your year? Let's reveal your top artist.
Starting point is 00:22:59 Drum roll again. And it's Drake. Of course it is. With 5,303 minutes of Drake and an 18-day listening streak, you were practically living in his world. Seriously, you're in the top 0.3% of his listeners world. Top 0.3%, uh, percent. I'm not going to lie to you. I prefer 0.01%, right? So we got some work to do. You know what I'm saying? We got some work to dodge.
Starting point is 00:23:24 Honestly, I was kind of surprised I was that high in it because I was listening to a lot of future Metro, uh, Kanye 21, but we're going to get to that in a second. But yeah, uh, as you can see, still a Drake stand. So technically I get to keep my OVO card. Even though I made that segment that's blowing up right now, mind you. I appreciate. everybody's support for the podcast. But if you want to look it up, just Drake Sue's UMG analytic dreams and it should pop up. Or you can just type in Drake analytic dreams
Starting point is 00:23:54 and it'll still pop up on whatever podcast platform you listen on. But that segment is going crazy right now. I was like, bro, after this, I may lose my OVO card because people are saying, bro, you're spitting, but I was like, at what cost? At what cost? Because I had to cook my favorite rapper, man.
Starting point is 00:24:09 It was a sad day in history. Anyway, let's keep going. Worldwide. You're practically family at the same. point. I wonder if it's Drake's blend of introspective rap and soulful crony that really got you hooked. Let's get on with it. Maybe even inspired you to check
Starting point is 00:24:22 out his latest album for all the dogs that came out in 2023. All right, listen to that about million times. That would be a match made in music heaven. But before we get ahead of ourselves, let's take a trip down memory lane and explore how your musical taste evolved throughout the year. All right. With the timeline. May was all about high energy hip hop with a
Starting point is 00:24:37 boogie twist. Ooh, tell me more. Drake. Now this is what I was talking about. At the beginning of the segment, remember I said that they took away the actual categories that people wanted for giving us random, useless, just nonsensical titles to label our listening preference. Like, one of them was like Pink Pilates Princess, Vampire Football Rap. My brother, are you working? Like, who are you doing?
Starting point is 00:25:16 Is he working or is this a joke? Like, are you actually working towards wrapping up our year? Are you just trying to be like, oh, April fools, came early, right? I don't know what it is. But anyways, like, there's the type of stuff that made people upset. It, of course, was in the mix, along with French Montana and Big Sean. You were living your best life. Soaking up the vibes.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Feeling good. I bet. Tracks like Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar, with its message of ambition and determination, we're probably fueling your goal. Yeah, ambition is, what do you say? Ambition and determination. Yeah, not just straight up. storyteller with this, just saying all type of fairy tales.
Starting point is 00:25:55 That's what he was doing. Anyways. But yeah, not like us. I did like that track, you know, pun intended. Right. And housekeeping knows by Drake. That just screams confidence. Pure swagger.
Starting point is 00:26:07 But then June rolled around and things took a bit of a turn. June was all about that Wild West, chill, pop country vibe. Really? That's a pretty big shift. Shibuzi was your main man this month. Shibuzi. Interesting. I haven't heard of him before. Tell me more.
Starting point is 00:26:22 They steal her for me, a bar song, Tipsy, and finally over. All from his album, Where I've been isn't where I'm going. Not going to you. Still heard from me, he may have outdid Rod Wave with that track because that track is a sad boy anthem. And not only is a sad boy anthem, it's layers to it because it's actually a player anthem but what players go through whenever they lose one of their players. Think about it. Anyway, let's get going.
Starting point is 00:26:54 Stiller from me is still one of my favorite tracks of 2024, obviously, because it's on this rap. Wow. You were definitely embracing that free spirit energy. Like, you ditch the city and hit the open road with the music blasting. And then September hit. September was interesting, a little bit of everything. You were feeling that Pink Pilates Princess Football Rap vibe.
Starting point is 00:27:13 Oh, I, yo. Hey, yo. Hey, yo. Who made this, bro? Whoever made this needs to get, I'm not going to call for nobody's job, right? But let's just say this is the worst Spotify rap I've ever heard in my entire 24 years on Earth. So that being said, let's keep going. I love that. That's a vibe.
Starting point is 00:27:38 Future made a comeback. Drake was always there. And we saw Ye and Ty Dala sign in the mix too. Like that made a reappearance alongside Drake's family matters and push-ups. Those Drake tracks are so. So high energy. It's like you were ready to conquer the world. Totally. And I think it's interesting that this was right around the time of Drake's public feud with Kendrick Lamar. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:58 Which actually inspired some of those hits. Yeah, put me on. So cool. You were in tune with all the drama and the music. And let's not forget that early adoption of 21 Savage's American Dream album back of January. You were ahead of the game on that one too. Ahead of the game. You jumped on that album the second it dropped. Definitely a music connoisseur, always keeping an ear out for new releases. You know, I appreciate you.
Starting point is 00:28:18 Let's talk about your love for Beyonce. From Texas Holden in February to Cowboy Carter in March, you were showing some serious respect for the Queens. Iconic. And you didn't stop there, did you? You explored so many different artists and genres. You even got into Bryson Tiller, The Weekend, and Rodway. Your taste is so diverse.
Starting point is 00:28:38 You really appreciate a good beat and some meaningful lyrics. Absolutely. It's been so fun unwrapping your 2024 Spotify wrapped, Dreya. Your year was a year. a musical rollercoaster. I don't know who that is. Lose Draia. It's amazing how much music can tell us about ourselves in the year we've had.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Until next time, keep those playlists spit. Okay, hopefully there won't be it next time because y'all did a terrible job at wrapping up my 2024. Let me just tell you that. And because this AI, I can go as hard as I want to know ditty as far as critiquing their wrap up of my 2024. That was the worst I've ever heard, ever. like the recap i don't care if it's a robot if it's a robot it should be even better because they're
Starting point is 00:29:24 able to look at all the analytical stats objectively and put a script together right a i's can do that and much more so for what they came to what they came up with that's just garbage Spotify i'm sorry you got to go back to the drawing board because whoever it's just bad let me just tell you that it's bad you know obviously i'm a little biased when it comes to spotify i'm definitely team Spotify but the way you become a great team that you have to have moments like this you know player to player heart to heart let me tell you that was some garbage
Starting point is 00:29:56 so anyways let's get to my overall wrap and for this right I have to mute the discord because it's going to play actual tracks and I'm not trying to get copy written so we're going to play uh Garen's beats
Starting point is 00:30:15 with shout out to Garen I don't know I pretty I don't think he like prefer to shoutouts like that but uh his beats is the ones i use if you ever want to let me uh if you ever want to hear some of it then i don't even know what to do with that because i can't really plug him because he doesn't want it so hey just know his beats are fire right have personalized beats for me and that's what we're going to play while i do this Spotify rap so let me play this right quick hopefully it's not too okay that was super loud my fault as i like i tell you all the time i can hear what y'all here so it was super loud for me too so you know we know we
Starting point is 00:30:48 we're struggling together. All right. It's still loud. Let me see. All right. Is that cool? All right. Yep.
Starting point is 00:30:59 Mic chat. Okay, cool. All right. So without further ado, it's my turn to get a wrap that actually fits my 2024 because I prefer the tried and true theory, even though they took out some categories, right? They still try to wrap up my 24 and I'm appreciative of that. So with that being said, let's get into my rap for 2024. Okay, y'all can see that right?
Starting point is 00:31:33 Yeah, okay, cool. All right. So at least they got my name right. That's a good start, right? I'm not Dreya anymore. It's that time of the year. Oh, my fault. I missed it.
Starting point is 00:31:44 Hold up. Y'all want me to read along with it? Because I can read along now. I could be dramatic. Let me see. All right. So Spotify, Rapp, 24. Hi, Dreams.
Starting point is 00:31:55 At least I got my name right. It's that time of the year again. Raps ready. Are you? you. Life moves fast. Luckily, we took notes. You listen to goodness. You listen for 34,633 minutes this year.
Starting point is 00:32:16 What is that? What does that equate to? Let's figure that out right now. All right, 346, 33. Let's see, divided by 60, right? Am I tripping? Yeah, because it's in minutes. All right.
Starting point is 00:32:30 So I listen to her about 577 hours. hours. That probably wasn't even grammatically correct. So let me say that again. 577 hours and 21 minutes. Now I go a lot to you. That's pretty significant because who in the world has that much time to listen to music? This is why people say music is the greatest thing to use when you're like working out when you're reading. You know, music is just used in every single facet to pass the time. So as far as, you know, the hours you see, just know, it's not like just sitting there completely listening to music. I don't know why I had to quantify that, but I felt like, you know, clarifying the amount of time I spent listening to music, right?
Starting point is 00:33:15 So whatever, with that being said, let's get back into it. So technically, out of everybody in the world, I am the top 9% of listeners worldwide. So let me just say, when the people say you don't listen to music, just know that they are correct. I listen. the music. Alright, my fault. But I am in the top 9% you know what I'm saying. So, it's whatever.
Starting point is 00:33:41 So that's pretty, that's what's up. Your biggest listening day was February 23rd. See, I still don't understand. I don't know what I did that day. I'm at the look, I think it was like an actual reason why,
Starting point is 00:33:52 I don't know. I'm not even trying to be funny. Like, I actually don't know. You played, goodness. That's a lot of tracks. What's the percentage for that one? See, that's the percentage I want to know because I definitely listen to more tracks
Starting point is 00:34:05 the majority of people. All right, top song was like that because of course, that's one the greatest hip hop tracks of all time. Like that by Future, Metro and Kendrick. I'm not going to lie to you. As far as the culmination of a great producer, a great melodic rapper,
Starting point is 00:34:23 and then a great lyricist, it's a match made in heaven. And this track is one of the greatest tracks of all time. Anyways. Okay, okay. 0.05%. I like that. See, I told you.
Starting point is 00:34:36 If somebody got to put respect on this track's name, one of the greatest hip hop tracks of all time. Like, of all time. It's up there. And it started one of the biggest beefs in hip hop history. Well, probably the biggest beef at this point in hip hop history. Even the old heads are comparing this beef right now to Drake, well, no, to Tupac versus Biggie, which, you know, it's kind of morbid. You know, why would you want to compare it to that? But, hey, that's what we're at right now.
Starting point is 00:35:02 So anyways, this is one of the best tracks of all time. will go down as a very game a big game changer in hip hop history so anyways let's keep going streamed it 93 times goodness 93 times it's almost like when jZ said he lost 92 bricks right wasn't that i don't know something like that that may be making up stories like he's superman let's keep going while it's not a competition there is a leaderboard your top songs oh hold I should pause that. All right. So of course, like that, it's my most listened to track of 2024.
Starting point is 00:35:52 And then, of course, for my OVO stands out there, let me just say I can't explain, right? I had to break down and dissect this track like a kilo of Miley Silers for the simple fact. We had to find ammunition from what he said to put an argument for my boy Drake. That's why I listened to this track so many time. I didn't allow to you. I was trying to dissect this, looking for the. loop holes. I like this man, it's calling Drake a pedophile with no proof. Right. So that's why he's listening to track over and over and over again. But anyways, and of course you have drink
Starting point is 00:36:28 don't need no mix with Shibuzzi, a big X to Plug, which I did not realize how big big X the plug was. Like no pun intended, that man, that's humongous. Anyways, so yeah, that's a, big guy. Pause. Number four, of course, the most lyrical display. in uh 2024 as far as having the 20 v1 and taking them out out one by one in one track i think drake's family matters is one of the best
Starting point is 00:36:58 lyrical tracks of all time the only thing with that and it's a huge caveat is that he said a cease and desist this is a pg podcast i'm just going to say is for hoes right we're just going to leave it like that can listen to lies that come out of your mouth now that is the first objective speaking that's the first blatant flat out lie in the battle because he has a whole lawsuit
Starting point is 00:37:23 going to go on to her going towards youmg because of kendrick's track not like us people say it's disingenuous because he's not suing kendrick he is emphatically suing the label behind kendricks not like us so if you put the puzzle pieces together he has to be suing kentrick which is why UMG says if there's any credence to debaugh allegations for not like us he Frozen Moments LLC the company owned by Drake will have to sue
Starting point is 00:37:54 Kendrick instead of UMG because it would be them that he would have to sue but Drake doesn't want to sue Kendrick he wants to sue UMG I don't know why but um yeah so technically that makes him an HOE right just going off Drake's own words
Starting point is 00:38:09 so technically I'm still in the OVO camp I'm just letting Drake know that going off your words you're a HOE because of you sending something that's even worse than a cease and desist towards Kendrick.
Starting point is 00:38:24 Anyways, that's still my favorite lyrical track because the boy's talented. What can I say? I thought about keeping him in hip-hop timeout, but you know, Drake's just too talented
Starting point is 00:38:34 to leave him in timeout. Like, we technically need him. Like, Taylor Swift is giving belt to you know what to hip-hop artists right now. And the only person that's even close to even competing with her.
Starting point is 00:38:45 even close is Drake. It is not close, but he's the closest, right? And we need hip hop to stay on top, right? So anyways, he's too talented to be in the hip hop timeout. So we're just going to let him out on technicality. It's kind of like what the Bulls did for Dennis Rodman whenever he went gambling and came back and still was in the starting lineup. It's like that.
Starting point is 00:39:04 That's how we got to treat Drake. We're going to be like, hey, bro, stop that snitching stuff. But just come back out and give us fire music. But hey, hey, don't be, don't turn into hip hop Karen again, all right? So anyways, and of course, to round it up, to round it off, which honestly, pushups is probably becoming one of the better tracks throughout 2024 for a simple fact that everything he was saying in that was pretty on point as far as a top dog being the manager of Kendrick and Kendrick having to give him a split because even on GNX, Kendrick talked about on the
Starting point is 00:39:40 heart part six how top dog was, um, It's a TD punch. Yeah, TD Punch basically was getting a percentage of Kendrick's money that he was gaining from or generating from rapping, right? And then overall he was like, I wanted to start my own business. I wanted to be my own CEO, things of that nature. And Drake literally went at that in push-ups. And nobody ever talks about it.
Starting point is 00:40:13 Drake has OVO, which, I mean, you could be like, who's came, who's really, rose and risen from OVO. Jay Cole has Dreamville, which, who does he have? I'm not even trying to be funny. Like, who does he have, right? But the thing with that is, you're starting your own label. You're trying to uplift talent. But Kendrick never really had that type of label until PG-Lang.
Starting point is 00:40:39 And he kind of talked about that on Hart Part 6, which I thought is very pivotal because Drake basically exposed down push-ups, which is why I think push-ups is probably one of the better tracks of 2024 because he talked about how Drake wasn't a boss oh no Kendrick wasn't a boss like he said he was because he's basically having to split his money with top dog which a lot of these artists have to split their money but once you get towards the top the hands in the pot lesson over time because of the leverage that you have so that's why Drake was pointed out on push-ups which to the day is still one of the better lyrical performing uh one of the more lyrically enhanced tracks of 2024.
Starting point is 00:41:18 So anyways, but that's not what this is. It's basically just how many times I listen to it. So this is my top five. Just want to give you all breakdown on each one of those tracks. So with that being said, let's go into,
Starting point is 00:41:31 you spent 7,528 minutes listening to podcast this year. Hey, way to quench that thirst for knowledge. I wonder who's the top of my list. Who y'all think is the top of my life? All right, yeah, top podcast. topic was music. You were in the top 1% of music listeners worldwide.
Starting point is 00:41:56 Okay. Uh-oh. The suspense is killing me. All right. So obviously, you can see. I'm towards the top. Like, come on now. If I don't listen to my own podcast,
Starting point is 00:42:05 like, there's a thing called, like, let me do, like, for my athletes out there, right? It's kind of like watching film. You know, I don't like listening to myself for an extended period of time because I like to take in other information,
Starting point is 00:42:19 different perspectives things of that nature but i definitely have to listen back to myself just to make sure oh i'm using um too many times or i'm saying uh what's the thing i always say it's something specifically it's like uh the key thing it's the key something i always say that like it's like a conjunction for me the key point of this or the key fact of this or let's get into i like that i like that one though what's something i took out i think it was the key that one was getting on my name nerves. I was like, all right, what's the key point this time? Be like the key element, the key point. But I forget exactly how I said it, but that's why I listen to myself a lot.
Starting point is 00:43:00 But I ain't gonna lie, this boy would be spinning. Whoever, hey, this top podcast, which, you know, technically, you know, not the two-mole horn. But, hey, if you go on my Twitter, which, you know, shameless plug, shameless plug right here, if you go on my Twitter, right? I have this pin towards the top for a reason. But let me see, see, y'all can see this right quick. all y'all see this right now i ain't gonna say you know i mean i'm not gonna tell you what this list say but uh let's just say feed spot came out with a list for the best mass effect podcast in the world right and this was just last year so of course we're way bigger now you know thank you to the masses and the supporters out there but let's just say your boy was labeled the best mass effect podcast in the world the best mass effect podcast in the world and you know what i have to say for that
Starting point is 00:43:56 I can figure out, okay, that's why I wear this jacket, man. This jacket right here should let you know my love for Mass Effect. Now, to be honest, I don't think I'm the most in-depth Mass Effect podcast. That's not the point of the podcast, right? I just showcase my love for Mass Effect. It's my favorite video game. But as far as in-depth podcast, I think it's probably more out there that go more in detail as far as the Massifick lore, right? So for me to be titling my podcast Mass Effect is to show love for my favorite video game of all time.
Starting point is 00:44:32 But of course in depth, I probably don't go into in depth as much as other Mass Effect centric podcast, if that makes sense. But definitely the biggest when it comes to numbers and, you know, just objectively speaking. And, you know, that's a testament to y'all, you know what I'm saying? But I just wanted to show you all that just to brag. I don't even know why I put that up. You know what I'm saying? Just nothing to crazy. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:44:52 Let me put that away. You know, what they say? Hey, who cares about the facts? You know what I mean? So anyways, but this is on N7 Day. I posted this on November 7, 2023, because if you don't know, N7 Day is a very cultural holiday
Starting point is 00:45:08 for Mass Effect connoisseurs because that's in seven day. I mean, that's what this jacket is for. It's like the highest ranking for a commander, for no, for a specter, yeah. So because Commander Shepherd was the first human specter. Right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:23 so anyways uh what was i doing oh yeah back to the list okay my fault so let me take that way all right we're back so anyways so as far as the top podcast of course you know I listen to myself the most um gaming luminati shout out to bh ethos
Starting point is 00:45:39 uh jg and um watts i think that's her name watts 3,000 uh I think that's her name I ain't even trying to be disrespectful I'm trying to because she just was added uh not too long ago I think it's Miss Watts
Starting point is 00:46:00 Let me see Miss Watts Let me just go to the Black Okage The plot, the black You already know how I feel about the Black Okage I'm talking about him extensively I mean he's the reason I played Mass Effect And now we're here Right
Starting point is 00:46:16 So that should just tell you the amount of influence He's had on my career But Watts I wish you could search on Twitter Why can you not search? My goodness I'm not trying to look through all this
Starting point is 00:46:31 uh okay so following 13 miss okay it is wise i don't know why i thought it was 3 000 okay so it's this girl right here she's like the newest member she's the newest member of um g i so that's like yeah she's like the newest member of GI because they wanted a uh a woman perspective, but one of the older guests on that podcast, you know, I'm not trying to be messy. One of the older guests on that podcast didn't want a woman on that podcast, right? So yeah, that's the backstory behind that. And now she's, you know, an official fourth host of the gaming Illuminati, which is the greatest
Starting point is 00:47:23 gaming podcast out there, like gaming centric podcast. Obviously, I do gaming as well, but they're heavily influenced. on what I do. You know, obviously I have my own takes and things of that nature, but obviously they're the OGs. So anyways, and of course you have my analytic dreams video podcast segment. Well, yeah, the video version, which I always shout out all the time. I watch that as well when I put out like my gameplay walkthroughs, which, you know, definitely
Starting point is 00:47:51 look out because I'm about to be playing Marvel, Marvel rivals, if I can talk. And I'm going to be finishing, I will be finishing the Black Hawk Six campaign, hopefully soon. But, you know, a million things has been going on. And of course, I've been dealing with sickness, right? Illness, whatever you want to say. So that's been killing me. So I've been recovering from that, right? Really bad stuff.
Starting point is 00:48:22 But, hey, I'm good now. So the fourth most listened to podcasts for me, of course, the goat of podcast and Joe Button. I mean, he may be controversial. in a lot of areas, but the objective stats say that he is the most dominant music podcast in the world, right? And of course, you have academics with the academy, which that's new word,
Starting point is 00:48:43 because I used to follow off the record, but I like his vlog, I like his streams more than I like his podcast because he's like, he interviews a bunch of like killers, right? I mean, allegedly, my fault, allegedly. He interviews a bunch of like just people in the streets, like that, I really like when academics talks about the industry because he has a lot of and I mean a lot of behind the scenes information that he just like
Starting point is 00:49:07 withholds to talk about people in jail and people in the courtroom like who cares like who cares about that but you know people gravitate towards negativity which is why those segments are probably so popular for him but I enjoy when he gets into the industry which is why he's very influential for me because I like this this is why the podcast is simply just talking about music in the industry and I try not to dive into drama too much because that's for him right For me, it's the industry because for me, the industry is just as exciting as the streets and the courts, but you just have to frame it in a certain way. And for the academy, whenever he gets into the court documents of like when Drake just sued UMG, that's what I find most entertainment, most entertaining, because it's definitely a lot of tidbits that he can let us in on straight from the people who signed the checks for your favorite artists, right? So anyways, that's my list.
Starting point is 00:50:01 that's the most listened to podcast for me as far as in 2024 and it said you've changed and so have you're listening so let me see December through May and this is the part where it was like boy y'all are even trying like bougie clean rap what does they even mean who put this together like why'd y'all take the time to do this you could have been showing me my top albums Could have been showing me my top genres. Like, what are these titles? Wild West Chill Pop Country? Like, okay, yes, I listen to these artists, but like, there's no ranking, there's no numbers, there's no percentages.
Starting point is 00:50:51 Like, it's just random titles, right? So this is ultimately why people are upset. Literally, they've just been three slides wasting my time. Three slides wasting my time. Okay, now we get back to the numbers. So I listened to 531 artists, but one had a special place in your heart and ears. Hmm, I wonder who that could be. Of course.
Starting point is 00:51:16 Of course, the goat. Hold up. Does it give me the percentage? Okay, so Drake was my top artist of the year. Of course, no surprise here, right? Your longest listening streak was 18 days, man. Talk about being the OVO stand, you know what I'm saying? I don't even know why I did that.
Starting point is 00:51:36 But, hey, I did it. You know what I'm saying? Talk about being an ovio stand. You got to love it. You know what I mean? People just out here calling your favorite rapper a pedophile for no reason.
Starting point is 00:51:44 You know what I'm saying? Just all type of shots. I just don't understand. I'm like, dang, like, what do he do to make them people that mad? Anyways, so 18 day listening streak from my boy, Drake. I am a top 0.5% fan
Starting point is 00:52:02 and spent 5,000, 3. Why can I not talk? 5,303 minutes together. I'm going to hold the mic. Why I said that? Hold a pause. no ditty all right so uh top 0.5% fan i ain't gonna lie he a fan he a fan
Starting point is 00:52:25 all right my fault but i am a fan but you know obviously not the way that kentrick was saying it uh with that being said let's keep going so i spent a lot of time listening to solely drake let's just put it like that and then why not i keep putting my phone number i'm not to hold it all right so they're about to reveal my most listened to artists of 2024 and it is number one of course we have the goat of hip hop
Starting point is 00:52:51 don't even have to say his name because the goat should clarify who I'm talking about number two we have the newest installment of the hip hop
Starting point is 00:52:59 big three which is future Hendrix big Pluto himself number three there's 21 Savage the man who talks about spinning a block twice like
Starting point is 00:53:09 there ain't nowhere to park which I definitely am very critical of those sentiments over and over, but man, there's an easy music to listen to when you end the whip. Like, hey, throw on something while we head into the spot. You know what I'm saying? Throw on that 21 Savage.
Starting point is 00:53:27 Get the automobile right. You feel me? Anyways. And then, of course, Kanye, I'm not going to lie to you. People be disrespect to Kanye. This man went number one as an independent artist with Votris One to the point where when the Super Bowl happened and he put out that fake ad like it actually happened during the Super Bowl. everybody believed it was a Super Bowl ad
Starting point is 00:53:46 and then it brought so much attention to his Yeezy website where everything was $20 and he sold like a gazillion like amount of product right just socks shirts everything just with easy on it it was like bro this man's the goat
Starting point is 00:54:00 independent wise Kanye's probably the best independent artist to ever live and that's off the fact that he's just the most talented artist to ever live as far as in hip hop right so yeah Kanye's just a goat I don't know why people disrespect him so much
Starting point is 00:54:19 I mean I understand why he'd be wilder ain't gonna lie he'd be that's probably why he'd be you know anti-Semitic stuff you know what I mean he'd be hey that may be saying stuff they get you canceled in 30 lifetimes right anyways
Starting point is 00:54:32 and number five Metro so you know obviously I like the drums you know Drake told him to shut up and make some drums but hey technically I like when he made drums and if you really think about it people forget but BBL Jersey was a hit. He just put some drums
Starting point is 00:54:47 over that and the BBO Drizzi challenge went crazy. Metro was like, I gave y'all some bread for this challenge and guess what? He shut up and he made some drums over the BBO Drizzy and guess what? To the point where Drake ended up following that up
Starting point is 00:55:03 with a BBO Driz sample with Sexy Red when Sexy Red's album had uh, sexy Red's album had Drake on it, right? and I forget what the track was called, but basically he took the BBL Drizzi sample back for himself
Starting point is 00:55:24 and he wrapped over it. People forget this, but you know, that's why I'm here for it. The album, In Sexy We Trust, the track, You My Everything featuring Drake. Remember throughout the second half of his verse, he switched it to the BBL Drizzi sample, and he just went crazy. That's what I'm saying, like my goat,
Starting point is 00:55:47 just gets disrespectful. He's giving them so many different flavors at 2024. But he did follow that up with a lawsuit. And that's going to be a tough one. That's going to be a tough one to counter. Like imagine it'd be like, your boy like better call Saul. I'm just like,
Starting point is 00:56:03 dang, he really did do that though. So anyways, yeah, but he's still a goat, right? Don't get twisted. So why'd I say that? Oh yeah,
Starting point is 00:56:12 because Metro boom is definitely deserving of number five because y'all probably like, well, it's Metro on there. just a producer. If y'all don't realize what Metro has given us in the past two years, this man, hold up, because Metro get disrespect too much. Like, to the
Starting point is 00:56:25 point where the Grammys had Metro messed up as they gave mustard a spot as a Grammy nominated producer instead of Metro Booman. Do you all not know that Metro Booman himself, this past two years, has really put out the highest quality
Starting point is 00:56:43 hip-hop, arguably the highest quality hip-hop in the past two years. this man has um heroes and villains 2022 right so going back to 22 then we have the uh spider man soundtrack that came out 2023 right so that's already two years he ran and then we have the future album the uh we we don't trust you until we still don't trust you so this man's run has been impeccable and then before that we have savage mode with 21 savage like Honestly, Metro Boomin is on a hot streak right now. Like, talk about shutting up and making some drums.
Starting point is 00:57:24 Like, this man, this top tier, he may be the best hip-hop producer that we have currently. And I'm throwing Kanye in that. In the past two years, this man has given us some straight-up hits as far as the soundtracks. I mean, following up Sunflower on the original Spider-Verse track, and then for people to be like, in totality, the soundtrack is. better than the original when the original has sunflower. I mean, it's already telling you what type of influence Metro Booman
Starting point is 00:57:55 had. And to the point where the directors put him into the actual movie, if you don't remember, there's a scene where Miles is running from all of the Spider-Man, spoiler alert. I'm sorry if you haven't seen it, support black characters, right? So, Miles Morales
Starting point is 00:58:11 is running from a bunch of Spider-Man, and then he stops at one point, and Metro's version, literally Metro's version of Spider-Man comes down. He's literally in the movie. So he's cemented forever as being in that movie. Obviously, you know, he has his mask and his little bandana or whatever, but it's Metro. You know, and Metro speaks a line and then that's it. But he's still in the movie. So, why I say that? Oh, yeah, because Metro began disrespect the left and right. I just don't understand. Yeah, I think it was the track
Starting point is 00:58:39 Calling. Let me see. Was it Annihilate? I think it was. Oh, yeah, well, it's calling. Okay, calling was Swayley, Nav, and A Buggy. That track is just goaded. My favorite track was Am I Dreaming by, you know, of course, Asap Rocky. Of course, when Metro get with Asad, he'd be like, let me give you the most fire hook and beat possible, right? To the point where he couldn't mess that up. Like, he really had that man rapping like he was graduation Kanye. I know that's probably blasphemous for some people, but y'all got to listen to that track, Am I Dreaming by Asap?
Starting point is 00:59:18 And come back to me. That man was rapping like Prom, Prom Kanye. Anyways, so Metro pulled that out of him, pause. so that's why I'm not surprised that he's on my top five for 2024 this man's giving us too much to not be on my list all right thanks for coming along for the ride until we meet again that's basically it and as you can as you can tell that's my top artist and my top songs and then most listen to uh as far as men is listened to so you know 34,633 but they said it made me in like the top 9%
