Starting point is 00:00:01 Now, of course, when it comes to trailers, ultimately, a lot of artists do put respect on the marketing rollout. And then some artists don't. When it comes to Travis Scott, there's a reason why he has the most, he has the top selling project currently with Jack Boys too, because his marketing rollout was phenomenal. There's a reason why push a tea and malice as far as the clips. There's a reason why they sold over $100,000 as far as first week because their marketing rollout was. immaculate. And then, of course, you know, to throw my biasedness in there, if that's even a word biasness, the goat of hip hop, the mascot of hip hop, Aubrey Karen Drake Graham, him ultimately having his overall Iceman episode rollout and showcasing that he's putting an

Starting point is 00:00:50 actual effort into his singles makes me believe that his first week sales are going to be through the roof. I'm guessing around five to 600 first week. I'll have to see what Kendra did with G and X because I do believe what Kendrick did and what Playbric Cardi did with some of the biggest releases we've seen in the past two to three years as far as albums consider because Playbric Hardy sold a crazy amount with his album music. Kendrick Lamar sold a crazy amount with his album GnX. Hopefully Drake does the same but if you don't know, the legal battle between him and UMG is still going on. So if you think about it, if you're suing your own label trying to get the number one album or number one track, it's going to be a little difficult and he still

Starting point is 00:01:30 managing to put up numbers even suing his label, which is why I call him the goat. Anyways, all that side tangent talk was to get back into straight kids as I've covered them all the way back on August 9th, 2024 when I got into the track Chick-Chick-Boon when it was their fourth music show as far as when for Chick-Chick-Bum. It was a standout at Lollapalooza. And of course, I dived into how the latest album 8 was out. And then, of course, surrounding what type of engagement they had surrounding their artistry, especially the artist Felix, the member of Felix.

Starting point is 00:02:12 So that was a deep dive. If you want to learn more about that, just type in Stray Kids, Analytic Dreams, which is Z. And my specific coverage of Chick-Chic-Chick-Bomb and Straight Kids will pop up because that's the only time I've ever talked about them. Transitioning into this. So this trailer, which is titled Stray Kids Karma, is essentially getting into their fourth full album. And safe to say, they are putting immense respect on the effect of a rollout. Because nowadays, people put up, people hit the upload button and they believe you're just supposed to magically find their content. They hit the upload button.

Starting point is 00:02:52 They don't put it on the stories. They don't make clips about it. They just hit upload. and they're just like, the people will come. And guess what? You may be sadly mistaken to find out that the competition is way more fierce than it's ever been. Not to discourage anybody, but just to let you know, they should definitely be promoting your own stuff because who's going to do it besides you, right?

Starting point is 00:05:00 scenes in this trailer. A lot of work was put into this. I can tell. Well, that was pretty solid. I like that. you can really tell they put a lot of effort into it because all of these scenes these backgrounds um you know this definitely takes a lot of work as far as in the editing room and sorry i have to look at this as like a content creator because looking at the amount of scenes in this uh you can really tell that they put their they put a lot of effort into this a lot of time into this trailer so i really respect as a person who covers the music industry i know how um rare it is for an art to take a rollout seriously so i'm glad to see the straight kids do it here and then who knows they could have another hit like they had with a chick-chick boom as i haven't seen them on the charts

Starting point is 00:05:58 recently but of course back in 2024 when i covered a track um um chick-chick boom had r i double a certification and then it gained a billboard hot 100 entry so they definitely know what they're doing with this trailer highlighting their fourth album we haven't received a date yet obviously but you know with the highlight in the fourth album safe to say oh no it is a release date so august 22nd 2025 is when karma comes out as far as the album for a straight kid so august 22nd 2025 i just look back at my notes so yeah with that being said this is the straight kid's fourth full album so click my link sharing my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about their trailer for karma uh which is their album title karma and will you be checking it out when this album eventually releases august 27th uh
