Starting point is 00:00:03 Did y'all know that Summer Walker's latest offering as far as a project is titled Last Day of Summer? And this was released October 31st, 2022. And if you really look at it, it's a lot of sped-ups tracks to the point where her real only release as far as the project, her last offering was still over it back on November 5th, 2021. Now, ladies and gentlemen, it is 2025. And the reason why I bring that up is because we've received a lot of singles, but I think it's quite time for a new Summer Walker project. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Starting point is 00:00:45 Like, what's going on? So that being said, of course, she does have offerings singles-wise. She has heart of a woman that came out this year, a session 32 that was live from London that was released February 24th, 2025. Then we have Pookie's One in the World. and then last year we have a heart of a woman, the quiet storm. So I don't know what the difference is between these different heart of a woman's
Starting point is 00:01:09 and these different singles but all I got to say is when it comes to her being active, she's definitely been active single-wise, but then you look at albums and at my opinion, I know I see home for the holidays, which doesn't really have her all throughout it, it's other artists. And it has
Starting point is 00:01:25 the last day of summer, which has a lot of tracks that sped up. So the only offering like that seems like an actual album seems like still over it and now is released november 5th 2021 i'm trying to figure out is she over making the albums but then you know what i'm saying i was like damn look at the state of hip-hop like what's going on because the way that she's helped out prominent hip-hop artists in the past as far as of as far as um so at seven i mean um white tank top i mean why i always forget his name um kendrick that's what i'm thinking of kendrick uh as far as kendrick's album mr morale and the big steppers and his track purple hearts featuring summer walker right uh summer
Starting point is 00:02:03 walker really has some infectious vocal vocals to the point where every time she she hops on the track she helps it out as far as a quality level and raises it so much to the point where when she was on prove it as far as the american dream by 21 savage she also helped out helped out that track a lot quality-wise. So I'm thinking to myself, when are we going to receive a real album? Because now she's back again with her latest single that I hope leads to an album, but we never know because she literally released this single. And guess what? There's a version titled Rent is Due version. I know that ain't who I think it is. So you're telling me, you've only put out an album. The last time you put out the album was in 2021 and it's 2025. And seemingly the single is leading up to
Starting point is 00:02:53 an album i mean i'm not trying to act like it will be an album that uh that comes as a uh that comes out because of the single but basically i'm saying spend it seeming like it's going to be a single for an album but if it's not putting out a version this is the rent and do the rent is due version has fans looking at her like i know that ain't who i think it is because now you're just playing in people's faces you putting out singles because the rent and do the rent is due we want to know when is the album do because if you don't know summer walker is under end-score records i don't know what type of deal they have you know as far as lvr in i'm not trying to get in their pockets all i'm saying is they are probably clamoring for a somer walker album and whenever i look at artists and they have that
Starting point is 00:03:37 huge gap as far as putting out projects we've seen with carty b nine times at a 10 as contractual as far as art is not receiving enough royalties or publishing as or points as far as the albums because they look at it as like we already gave you one phenomenal album now you're going to have me give out an album for how much when i'm when i can get that myself out into doing brand deals and things of that nature when you see an artist as prominent as summer walk as prominent as a carty bee as prominent as a kindrick right they usually are having certain contractual negotiations behind the scenes so they can get more royalties of publishing over the next project that is the only thing i think of because if you're still active singles-wise that means you're you definitely still want to be
Starting point is 00:04:25 seen as a musician right i mean if it'd be different if cardy or summer walker was taking the riana route where's like riana not putting out music at all unless it's like attached to like a a disney level movie right because last time we've seen riana put out music it was let me see because auntie came out 2016 so we we could forget about the rana project anytime soon so yeah it was from lift me up like i said at disney black panther wakonda forever music from and inspired by it was a track lift me up by riana disney had to approach riana for new music so if we're looking at riana she's really retired as a musician but it seems like summer walker and carty b still wants to be in the eyes of the public as a musician
Starting point is 00:05:06 because they keep putting out singles right so the only thing that leads me to believe that they don't put out an album or they haven't given us an album is because one maybe the contract isn't in their favor like they will want it to be and two If you're looking at it as from a business perspective, if you sign somebody for a certain contract for like maybe one plus three plus four albums, right? And then they give you that album and it blows up. But now for the second album, they're like,
Starting point is 00:05:33 they want like a veteran level, veteran superstar level contract for them to put out the next album. You're like, hold on now. But what happened to the previous contract? You just want me to forget about that because we bet it on you and actually ended up working. So it's a very, it's a twofold conversation to have. And I think with Sommer Walker,
Starting point is 00:05:50 I think she's going to find out what Lent's labels are willing to go to to not give you your great, the contract you deserve. So artists always are on a limited time scale. It's like being a running back in the NFL. You have probably three to four years of your prime. And then after that, the NFL is still going to find other players to eat off of. As far as a major label, the advances they give artists is because they own it in, perpetuity i believe is the word so for the foreseeable future they're going to always have certain royalties and percentages over the albums and singles that you put out so that way after you are
Starting point is 00:06:33 no longer here it is still eating off of the music if people are uh in captivated by it right so that's the that's the that's the trade off for uh for major labels giving you a huge advance and you being under endoscope i would assume the advance was a nice lump sum right but you know this is all just speculation based on just the years of me diving into the music industry nothing too crazy so with that being said her latest track is out now like i said it's her single um i don't know if it's just a single if it's a single for our album i would assume it's just a single so the track title spend it is out now um there's a diamond and pearls version there's an original version that's just spend it and then of course there's the rent is due version ladies and gentlemen that's the first time i ever seen something like that
Starting point is 00:07:19 But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? So with that being said, click my link to your in my bio. Let me know in one of my social medias. What do you think about Summer Walker and her latest track, spend it? And do you think that it will end up leading to a new project from Summer Walker?
