And then of course in 2018 they put out Shrem Life, which is basically three, but you know, they changed the E for three, you know, rappers nowadays. 2015 is originally when they started the Shrem Life pattern. And of course, they, you know, everybody was, you know, had high praise for Ray Shremmer because of early hits.

So, Swetney's. rightly just dropped the album titled same difference today so i will be listening to this album and breaking it down like a kilo of myly cyrus but then you know what i'm saying i was like damn look at the state of hip-hop like what's going on but as of right now all you need to know is that this album this body of work is currently 16 tracks an hour wow exactly an hour in length and of course slim jimmy is on it which you you know it's race rumored but you know for some reason they just featured slim jimmy instead of just putting ray schrimmer but hey i'll take a

ray shrimmer uh i'll take a race trimmer uh i'll take a race remer offering whenever i can't post you guys so anyways um post malone is also on this album which i was like hold on now not the duo that made one of the most successful tracks of all time and you probably think it to yourself i know that ain't who i think it is of course it was off of a spider man uh soundtrack but of course when the animated spider man soundtrack came out there was one particular track that originally shot up the charts and that was sunflower ladies and gentlemen and not only sunflower was a magnificent hit in hip hop but overall it crossed all genres the highest certified single in r double i i'm tripping an r i double a history so if you ever wonder why i put so much respect on ray shriver's name just no sway lee

in all walks of music has basically earned the respect that i'm given so anyway is when it comes to him in totality, you do have to look at the overall lack of superstar-like sales. Because of course, that is why when covering the gaming and music industry, I always say, just because you sell a lot does not mean that you make the highest quality. And just because you don't sell, it does not mean you're also making garbage. The two do not correlate. So whenever I cover the charts, you don't always have to say that. but right shimmer

sway lee is a fantastic example of that because of course when you look at sway lee specifically sway lee is putting out immaculent music but when you look at the overall sales I mean stream life in 2015 so

34,000 uh shrem life three uh stream life three in 2018 and so i think 57 to 61 thousand equivalent units so they never just put up triple digit uh no six-figure digits as far as first week sales. And is that an indication of the quality? Of course not.

But I'm just letting you know that when it comes to numbers specifically, they're not selling like the superstars of the world like Amigos or Drake. And I'm talking about back then. Migos, Drake, of course, Meek Mill at the time, I think a lot of people was putting on monumental numbers that I don't want to disrespect them, but may have not been on the same quality level as Ray Strimmers. So that's why I always go back to the point of just because you sell a lot, does not mean you make the highest quality of a product.

And, you know, that's coming from a Drake fan. Is it okay? I got my dope on me. So with that being said, I did want to dive back into the album. As if you don't know, there's a lot of different features on here. Already listed out a couple. But you also have Navaraj, the Brown Boy. Shout out to him. Yeah, the Brown Boy on this album.

You have Jene Aiko, which, you know, for Jena Aiko fans out there, just know she is currently headlining or set the headline, the Jazz and the Gardens Festival for March 7th to 8th, eight in Miami. He's a new album, Westside Whimsie, expected later 2026. Westside Whimsie sounds like a rap album, but hey, Janaya Eagle can do no wrong in my opinion, you know what I'm saying? Shepard. you also have post-blown, I already said that. So Slim Jimmy, I said that, Rich, the kid, and, oh, French, my kid, hold up now. Then in French Montana said he didn't get paid for that. All right, my fault. So anyways, it's interesting to see French Montana back on his album. He probably felt like Sway Lee having Post Malone, Sway Lee having a slim Jimmy feature, like, of course, a Jenea Aiko, not to disrespect the other features. But he's probably like thinking to himself, okay, Sway Lee's trying to have another hit album, especially having some features that.

already are notoriously affected the masses so here comes french again with the track called suitcase now of course i don't know if it's going to be the same like unforgettable it'll be very hard to replicate that type of success but hey he's on there so do with that what you will so i can't wait to dive into this album of course i have not listened to it yet i just basically wanted to let you know it was out on all dsps um released under air drama records which is that's that's a new one uh a subsidiary of interscore records and i forget what interscope is on let me see if i can find that right there i do some make you research for that you know interscope i don't know if he's on a umg or uh sonny

all right so after doing some uh make your research anoscope i don't know is a umg endoscope okay it's not any traditional huh what hold up what is interscope under because I know Interscope is under a specific major label. I just forgot which one. Ah, UMG, ah, the big bad. The big bad of the music industry. Okay, of course.

Because if you don't know, UMG currently has a whopping 62% of the entire music market share. And of course, BTS is the thing for that because they currently have the most played album in the world, you know, selling 651,000 out the gate as far as their first week sales. So obviously, UMG has everybody.

BTS, Morgan Wall and Taylor Swift, you name it, right? but the subsidiaries is where people get it misconstrued. Because when you look at the Ray Shremmer album, it says, aerodrama records, which is a subsidiary of Intersco Records, which is also a subsidiary of UMG. It gets deep. So that's why, you know, your boy, dreams is here to take. So, anyways.

So I can't wait to dive into this album. I just want to give you the overall details of the album. Ray Shremmer is definitely on this, as you can see, with Slim Jimmy being a feature for working remote. Sway Lee is promising across a genre blending type of albums. I'd be interested to see where he takes this in the art direction because I have high praise of Sway Lee, if you couldn't tell throughout the whole coverage of this album.
