Starting point is 00:00:03 Now, when getting into Tate McCray, or as Drake would put it, White Cake, we have to acknowledge the fact that McCray has the most popular album in the world. So currently, so close for what that was released February 22nd is the most popular album in the world, selling 170,000 units currently. And with that being said, that's why I wanted to basically highlight because when it comes to Tate McCray and her overall music, I've covered her a good amount of times on this podcast. I remember covering her for sports car. It's okay. I'm okay. And then, of course, when it comes to this album, she has a lot of things on here that's hip hop influence as far as featuring Flo Millie, the Kid LaVroix. No matter what genre y'all put the Kid LaRoy in, he definitely started in hip-hop because he was heavily.
Starting point is 00:01:03 influenced from Drew Swirl. So with that being said, Tate McCrae and the hip hop element is definitely there, but don't get this mistaken as this is definitely more of a pop album, as a lot of things that she puts out is revolving around the pop genre. And I do appreciate the effort when it comes to choreography and getting these visuals across. Because when it comes to music videos in certain genres. Let me just tell you that minimum to no effort is put forth. So when Tate McCray is having all these choreographies planned out and executed in these music videos is definitely showcasing how she's putting a lot of effort in practice and definitely trying to showcase that she is a great performer because choreography while performing a track is immensely difficult. I don't think people realize how hard.
Starting point is 00:02:01 it is to not only sing but to also dance and then the breath control that comes along with that is a very interesting balance that takes time to master so with that being said the things that are upcoming for Tate McCray is that she has a 50-day world tour starting March 18th and it's essentially kicking off in Mexico with stops in major cities like Chicago, New York and Atlanta. So when getting into the live aspect and talking about her choreography, she also has a stage that's basically, well, no, she has a lot of different outfits and her music videos, but one of the more popular ones, because when it comes to Tate McCray, you know, a lot of people enjoy the visuals.
Starting point is 00:02:54 Let's just put it. Let's just put it like that. And one of the outfits that she's sporting in the music videos, when, viral as far as her monochrome all black outfit featuring a cropped long sleeve top with an asymmetrical cutout black micro shorts and silver hardware details now only the hard hitting facts come out on the notorious mass effect because who in the world is keeping track of this now i understand from a visual perspective on why they would keep track of it but hey to go in that To go in that much detail and to lay it out like that, my brother.
Starting point is 00:03:33 But hey, you know what I, teach his own, right? So, but this particular track, the main thing you should know is that it's the biggest track in the world, and that's the highest stature you can have as far as a musician. You're basically on top of the world currently, because out of all the musicians, your album so close for what is played the most, with 170,000 units sold currently. And the second closest is, of course, you know, my favorite artist, Drake and Party Next Door, some sexy songs for you, which that comes in at 116,000 units. So when you look at the overall songs, right, she has about 11 tracks on the charts. Her highest performing track currently is sports car being the 16th most played track in the world.
Starting point is 00:04:19 And then you have Revolving Door. That's a fan favorite. But that's the 22nd track, 22nd most popular track in the world. And then you have I know love the 43 most play track in the world. Dear God is the 44th most play track in the world. And then you have purple lace bra, which is the 53rd most played track in the world. Mis possessive, which is the 54th most played track in the world. And then you have, what?
Starting point is 00:04:48 Oh, blood on my hands. It's all in one word. They put it all together, no spaces. That's the 64th most played track in the world. Signs is the 74th most played track in the world. Two Hands is 76 most played track in the world. Like I do is the 90th most played track in the world. And of course, last but definitely, well, it's least compared to these tracks.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Green Light, which is the 99th most played track in the world. So all those tracks should just let you know because all those tracks are from her album, right? So close for what? That should let you know that people are loving this album on a different scale when it comes to objectively looking at the analytics, right? So Tate McCray is affecting the masses in a way that few artists have ever done. And that's a huge accomplishment in itself. And of course, with this album debuting at number one on the Billboard charts,
Starting point is 00:05:40 but of course, we're covering this in March 7th. Album came out February 24th and is still projected to be the most played album in the world. And that is probably the highest statistical accomplishment you can have for a project in the music industry. So with that being said, click my link to you in my bio. Let me know one of my social medias. What do you think about Tate McCrae's latest album? So Close for What? And if you've listened to it, what is your favorite track off of the album?
