Now getting into Taylor Swift once again, we have to start off with the fact that she is unequivocally the biggest artist in the music industry.
And before you say I'm glazing, have to point out the fact that Taylor Swift album that just came out three days ago, mind you, is tracking 3.4 million units.
And with that being said, it broke the record for the biggest album,
sales week in Nielsen history. And guess what? There's four days of tracking still remaining.
So when it comes to Taylor Swift and what y'all may think is a glazed session, it's justifiable
for the same reason that Drake is my favorite artist. Is it okay? I got my dope on me?
Because when it comes to my favorite artist, safe to say when it comes to objective statistics
compared to their counterparts in their same genre, Drake is leaps and
bounds ahead of his next up as far as competition in hip hop but when it comes to taylor swift she is
leaps and bounds ahead of her competition when it comes to the entire music industry so now with that being said
the main thing i wanted to let you know is that taylor swift is just breaking records left and right so
the purpose of this segment in the next is breaking down the current statistical accomplishments and
of course her box office yes i'm going to have to transform into the black grace randolph
herself as I'm going to break down the box office for Taylor Swift.
Now that being said, before we get into the box office and how she's just killing it in every
single lane you can imagine, let's stick to music. As when it comes to the 2.7 million copies sold
day one, we're not talking about the 3.4 million. We're talking about the 2.7 million copies
sold in day one as far as physical plus digital surpassing her own first week.
record as far as the tortured Poets department and that sold respectively 2.6 million units.
Now another thing I was willing to point out because even this was a little confusing for me.
So looking at this specifically as far as on her DSP profile, at the very bottom, what does that say?
Hold on now.
I know that does not say at Taylor Swift at Taylor Swift.
But then you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Like, what's going on?
If only the state of hip hop had an artist that would make a stand instead of lawsuits
and ultimately go independent to show what type of fan base he has.
But, you know, that's besides the point, right?
You know, I'm not trying to get him on my bad side or the OVO goons out there, right?
Can't have chubs on my on my back, pause.
You guys.
Anyways, the reason why I point this out is because this, as you can see right here that I'm circling,
says at 2025 Taylor Swift.
Now, what that means is that she's essentially independent and she owns the masters and full recording copyrights.
Selling 3.4 and just three tracking days, which, mind you, actually overtook Adele's 25 as far as the biggest first week sales in any album's U.S. history.
So Taylor Swift is breaking records and she's still an independent.
So when you look at the overall music market share, currently Independence hold 9%.
Universal Music Group holds 48%.
Warner holds 28% and Sony owns 16% of the music market share currently as far as the top 50.
Now when it comes to Taylor Swift, she's easily going to have a number one.
And with that being said, I would be interested to see if for the first time, others, which is, hold on, let me show you all this too.
analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video along with the audio but as far as market share
this is for the last tracking week which is why k-pop demon hunters is that number one but as you can
see right here when it comes to the market share let me switch my scene when it comes to the music
market share as you can see universe music group currently has 48% Warner has 28% Sony has 16 and then
guess what independence which is basically smaller labels and
actually independent acts they have a whopping 9% now I don't know what percentile
Taylor Swift is going to put the others in as far as third of second place
but I'm pretty confident to say that it's going to be a close race this upcoming week to see if Sony is battling it out with
independence as far as market share and that is definitely a W I know that ain't who I think it is
every time Taylor Swift drops an album from now on and
It says at Taylor Swift at the bottom as far as credits.
I know major labels are looking at it saying to themselves,
I know that ain't who I think it is.
All of these marketing dollars that we throw around to these acts
saying that major labels are the only way to go.
And Taylor Swift literally already broke the highest first week sales for any album in U.S. history.
And it's only been three days.
So as far as the Glaze Fest, that's essentially what I was trying to get across.
Taylor Swift is going crazy with her statistical accomplishments.
She does have eight plus vials. Goodness.
And CD variants.
And a 24-hour iTunes exclusive editions and a theatrical film tie-in,
which leads into my next segment because ladies and gentlemen, we're about to break down
how in the world Taylor Swift released a whole movie and it ended up grossing $33 million.
So with that being said, let's get into her statistical accomplishments.
on in the box office right now
