Starting point is 00:00:00 Getting into one of the most impactful artists of all time, even after the historic run in 23, literally having the U.S. government tweet out about how much income Taylor Swift was generating for the United States. With that being said, let's get into 2024 because she's still making history as she won a Grammy and yes, she won album of the year, the highest award in my opinion at the Grammys for her album, Midnights. Now, excuse me for my ignorance, but is Midnights not an old album? Like, how is she winning from old material? But that's besides the point, right? Because apparently she added like four new tracks, but whatever. So, anyways, she is the only artist to ever win album of the year four times. So basically, whenever the Grammys is trying to tell you
Starting point is 00:00:59 who they think is the best artist in the past decade plus is probably going to be in probably leaning towards taylor swift as biance who a lot of swifties and beehive like to uh fight over as far as who's the most impactful biancy i believe has the most grammies of all time like i think taylor swift has 13 grammies and biancy has more i don't know how many she has actually let me see because I was going somewhere with that. Oh, so in Jay-Z's whole speech, right, he talked about how Beyonce is one of the most awarded artists and Grammy history with a total of 32. Okay, so she has 32 awards compared to Taylor Swift's 13.
Starting point is 00:01:51 But she has never, ever won album of the year, which in my opinion, like I was just saying, is the highest award you can get at the Grammys. But put that to the side, right? Because this whole segment is basically the follow-up to her win for album of the year. As she announced the Tortured Poets Department, which is coming. I actually don't see the release date. Anyways, it's coming. So I don't know what it's going to happen, but she just announced it, which is the tortured poets department.
Starting point is 00:02:27 And basically it came during her acceptance. acceptance speech and she said she's been working on it for the past two years which i definitely believe because like i keep saying she's re-releasing old material and it's going as viral as it did when it originally came out which is definitely a testament to the swifties and an achievement to lead them to claim themselves as probably the best music fan base in the world or maybe of all time. I don't know any other artists that could re-release an album and have it not even sell as much, but even more than when they originally released. So basically, I say all that to say this. This album is probably going to sell a lot, just like her past two albums. I mean, she literally
Starting point is 00:03:20 dropped two albums in 2023 and both of them sold over one million plus in first week sales. Now, the next closest was like, I think Travis Scott or Drake with like 400,000, 300,000 first week, just to show you just how, like head and heels over the competition she is as far as success and bringing, well, like the U.S. government said, generating revenue. So with that been said, of course, she says he's been working on this album for two years. The album is already available to pre-order on her website, offering various versions, including CDs, cassettes, Vinyl, and Digital, trackless. was also shared featuring a collaboration with the one and only Posty Malone.
Starting point is 00:04:03 So White Iverson himself is back again on Taylor Swift's album. And I had the track list, but I actually don't know what I did with it. So whatever. All you didn't know is Post Malone is on it. And I know for the Swifties are going to get upset because they're like, what you mean? Taylor is Taylor Swift's album? Why is Post Malone to stand out for you? Well, you know, I have a confession to me.
Starting point is 00:04:25 I don't really listen to Taylor Swift like that. So to hear a Taylor Swift and Post Malone song is like when I heard the Taylor Swift and Kendrick song. I'm listening for Kendrick, but I appreciate what Taylor Swift is adding to the track. And that happened like all the way back in what, 2018, 2017? I don't know when that Bad Blood remix came out. But anyways, Post Malone is on his album. It's 16 tracks in total. Of course, Taylor Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelsey, who is playing in the upcoming Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:04:57 is um well he expressed excitement about her winning during his super bowl press conference which you know it's a definitely a dynamic a titanic relationship when you're both achieving um on the highest level if that makes sense even though music is more subjective and sports is more like factual base you can't you can't fake being one of the best athletes but as far as one of the musicians if you have the right connections i'm not yay i don't want to get too deep into it so anyways um the album oh there's a release date so april 19th is when this album is supposed to come out there's a 24 page book bound jacket with handwritten lyrics and photos so there's a collectible 24 page book so y'all can find that i don't know where it's at maybe it's taylor swiss website
Starting point is 00:05:54 i don't know it doesn't say right here and then also the track list already talked about that oh there's an a b c and d side i don't know what that means but the notable songs from the a side include fortnight featuring post alone side b includes tracks like so long london and florida featuring uh florence plus the machine side c features songs like guilty as sin and i can fix him in parentheses no really i can side d includes tracks like i can do it with a broken heart and a bonus track the manuscript all right so that's basically it yeah Taylor Swift her boyfriend Travis Kelsey they're all performing on the highest level and they're just commenting on each other and celebrating one another which a relationship should be
Starting point is 00:06:40 it's always a partnership at the end of the day so you love to see them both excited about each other's accomplishments reminds me of Tom Brady and Gazelle but just the modern day version and I know Travis Kelsey is no Tom Brady but as far as the run that he's been on or being a part of is definitely Tom Brady-esque. So with that being said, yeah, that's basically it. So let me see the release date again. April.
Starting point is 00:07:10 I know it was April something. Oh, the album set to release April 19th. 16 tracks and a bonus song titled The Manuscript. And once again, the album title is the Tortured Poets Department. So with that being said, click my link to your bio. Let me know what I'm going to be. my social medias what do you think about Taylor Swift coming once again to take over the music
Starting point is 00:07:33 industry and with her having 13 Grammys under her belt what is your personal favorite Taylor Swift album
