Now I was looking back at my Taylor Swift coverage and I found an interesting fact.
Ladies and gentlemen, did you know that the tortured Poets Department is responsible for 8% of all album sales in 2024?
Now when it comes to that particular track, safe to say that all of my Taylor Swift coverage has been performing phenomenally.
And you know, of course, kudos to y'all for the support. I appreciate people.
becoming time in a timeout to listen to me break down the latest and greatest of the music industry,
right? Because when it comes to that, Taylor Swift, The Life of a Showgirl has already been
announced on her boyfriend's podcast. And when it comes to that specific fact, she actually
went into more detail now. I thought she was going to. And she showcased how there was 12 tracks with
the last one being the Life of a Showgirl, which is titled after the album title, featuring the one
and only Sabrina Carpenter. So with that being said, that was very interesting.
as far as how she was willing to expound upon her album, seeing that she is one of the most
influential musicians of all time. If in 2024, forget what year it is, if you put out an album
and that accounts for 8% of all album sales in the U.S., safe to say that you're probably one of the few
individuals who have ever achieved a certain height in music industry, right? So when I put it like
that when we're talking about Taylor Swift,
this is not just some random regular artists
we're talking about.
Like she does, she has a phenomenal,
I think dialect is the word,
on letting people know and convincing them
that she's regular.
She's talking about the different breads that she's baking.
She's talking about how she sent her mom
and her brother, I think, to negotiate with,
what was the company named Shamrock for her masters?
Best believe, none of that happened.
at the end of the day this is a high class individual and a lot of things happen behind the scenes
to even get her masters back which i went into detail when i talked about her particular track was
sabrina carpenter so if you just type in taylor swift analytic dreams with a z then my coverage
of taylor will pop up as far as the life of a showgirl was sabbina carpenter that's when i
dive into how she got her masters back for one for one she did something no musician
can do she re-recorded her album not even contractually sometimes previous artists contractually can't
re-record their music so for some reason taylor swift's original deal had her re-recording clause
voided in 2020 so i ended in 2020 so now she could re-record but that basically means all that time
leading up to or pass her six albums and now in the year of 2020 who's to say that your fan base will listen to your
recorded albums more than the first six albums that they already deemed as a classic, right?
So Taylor Swift did the unthinkable.
She re-recorded all of her previous albums and lowered the value of those original albums.
And one, no, that's a kudos to her supporters, right?
If Taylor Swift didn't have that type of fan base, she wouldn't be able to pull that off.
Best believe if any artist, then they could do that same thing, you know, obviously I would say try
because I'm not trying to advocate for the corporation.
but let's just say
Taylor Swift made it look way easier
than it actually is.
It's almost like when Patrick Mahomes,
yeah, you know I had to throw a little
Kansas City Easter egg in there,
but anyways, it's like if Patrick Mahomes
throws a lookaway pass
and it ends up being a touchdown
and then some random QB
who's also in the NFL tries that same pass
best believe is getting picked off
and take it to the other side of the field.
So with that being said,
I had to throw a little football jargon in there.
What Taylor Swift did
in re-recording her first six albums
lessening the value to the point where she could buy her rights back her master's back of original six
that's very hard to do re recordings do not hit as hard as the originals for some reason for some reason
taylor swift was able to pull off that feed so anyways getting back into our album so when it comes to
the official color it's uh portfino orange i don't know what that means and then ultimately it was
chosen to represent exuberant electric and vibrant energy of her
life slash tour during this period and then the album covers a mint green background plus glittery
orange lettering now what you're seeing right now analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video
along with the audio but what you're seeing right now is the second version of taylor swift life of a showgirl
album and all i'm gonna say is you know i feel like both albums is very well put together let's just put
like that you guys see that's the problem and then the final errors tour ended with Taylor Swift
exiting through an orange door basically hinting at the next era which we already know now is going to
be the life of a showgirl era is the 12th studio album the album is coming out October 3rd of this year
and of course me being a huge Drake fan and knowing that there's no there's a specific reason
while Taylor Swift will choose certain months, right?
Now, call me, you know, a pessimistic or a cynical, but, you know, Drake has this
interesting title he goes by and no, not the one that side seven gave him.
But as far as October's very own, right, OVO means something to Drake.
OVO is a term that refers to not only to his record label, but lifestyle brand founded by Drake.
So in October, at the beginning of October, the biggest music,
artists in the world is putting out her album.
And Drake said before that Taylor Swift made him drop or made him push back his release.
I forget when it actually was.
Let me see.
Dre said he pushed back his album because of the biggest gangster in the industry.
I mean, because of Taylor Swift, which is why he called her the biggest gangster in the industry.
Because he's the only one that he'll, that can make.
him push his album back or so he says you know so um with that being said i think i found it i don't know
i'm not going to spend too much time looking this up but it's very uh important for my point because
if this album's coming out at the beginning of october you already know that drake is trying to roll out
ice man um he's currently suing his label which would definitely go on for quite some time
they're getting more to the um details and they're asking for more discovery and things that nature
I will cover that at some point, but as of right now, I've already broken down so many different
documents when it comes to that lawsuit.
They haven't said anything I haven't covered yet.
So anyways, so Drake on his song, the Red Button, that's what it is.
Okay, so Drake talked about Taylor Swift on his track Red Button, and this happened November
17, 2023, and he rap, Taylor Swift is the only what?
Taylor Swift is the only N-word, and this is a PG podcast.
I am a black individual.
You know, at the end of day, we try to keep this PG for the masses.
Taylor Swift is the only end word that I ever rated slash only one who could make me drop the album just a little later.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Like, what's going on?
Ladies and gentlemen, we are listening to the top performer in hip hop talking about another artist like this.
Best believe if you are towards the top in your profession and you're speaking about, if you're speaking like this towards another individual to the point where you make it.
it seemed like you can't even compete with that level of exposure or impact you should know the type of level that taylor swift is on
so the reason why i say that um her dropping at the beginning of october is very interesting because now
with ice man that's supposed to come out in october now at the end of day he's never given a release date
so you're probably going to be thinking how do you know that release day well you know i mean i may
have just made it up right same thing i was talking about what carty b and i broke down how her label uh let me see it
Atlantic because all of this you can research.
So on my podcast.
So let's see, Atlanta.
Yeah, here we go.
So when I also said I made up the fact that Cardi's label, Atlantic, is pushing her to release her album.
The Fed Up, it's a new regime.
And literally, if you go to Julie Greenwald Analytic Dreams with a Z on whatever platform you listen to podcasts on,
I literally break down how Julie Greenwald stepped down as Elliot Grange took charge of Atlantic Music Group.
why did i talk about that is because carty b is a top player top impact on and on on on
atlantic so now if you're looking at somebody who's trying to follow the footsteps of his dad who is
elliard grains you may have to start pulling some power moves to make the corporation return
uh to make your corporation expense makes sense as far as receiving that r o i because now your
top player is sitting on music and you can do something about it so the first first
in carty b to put out an album um there's a lot of different things that carty could do to get around
that which you know i'm not going to speculate on anybody's uh love life but you know it'd be very
interesting to see if she gets around her album release day i don't think she will but like i said i made
it up right so anyways uh drake's dropping ice man in october so now with taylor swift dropping
her album in october it's very interesting how she chose that date i think it's very much to not only
I don't think it's like a spiteful way of going at your competition.
I think Taylor Swift enjoys the power dynamics of letting every artist in the music industry
know that they can't mess on her because she's not the girl that Kanye West was talking
to when he was talking about he made her famous, right?
Taylor Swift has now evolved like in Pokemon, right?
And now she's the ultimate version of herself and she's not actually.
anything like the passive girl who was talking to Kim Kardashian and Kanye was she's very different now
so with that being said it was a reason why so many vinals came out of the torture the poet's department
around every single time a popular musician was dropping if you had Drake uh GnX let me see so
GnX literally uh competed with the version of Taylor Swift's torture post department and it was just a vinyl
So Kendrick, I mean, Taylor Swift isn't just singling out Drake.
I think she enjoys the power dynamics of her being the most popular musician in the world.
And like I said, that doesn't have to be a bad thing.
I mean, nobody said it was a bad thing when Michael Jordan did it, right?
He was like, I'm not practicing with y'all.
I'm trying to take your heads off, right?
I'm not practicing with you all in the offseason.
I'm trying to win the championship.
Like, nobody said that was a bad thing when Michael Jordan did it.
So I don't think it's a bad thing here when Taylor Swift surgically pinpoints when the release.
certain things to step on her competition so anyways let's see Kendrick Taylor Swift album
battle let me see when he put out GnX I know it's a different vinyl version let's see
Taylor Swift put out like her 50th vinyl which literally Billboard came out with a rule to where
you can only put out so many vinals for an old project because of Taylor Swift people are calling it
to Taylor Swift rule which if you look it up uh Billboard I
I'm looking up all of this because, you know, we don't do fake news over here.
Billboard Taylor Swift rule.
Let me see.
So, let me see.
So January 18, that was 20, it was 20, 23.
I don't know if that's it.
Taylor Swift, Todd, 14.
Okay.
I think it's this one.
Okay.
I want to just come out one year ago.
It seems about right.
See, Taylor Swift hasn't been accused to manipulate music trucks by releasing
additional see that's what i'm talking about additional versions of the torture poets department
but billboard is here to set the record straight and they said quote in the tracking week of
in the tracking week ending in august 15 torture poets department so nearly 10 000 in digital
album downloads across all variants uh through all sellers including her web store the iTunes store
and others and then they okay so they were just talking about how she's just dominating the charts
about last year so billboard came out with a statement and basically said uh there was a rule but
i don't know if they have it you even have to some could have speculate it okay so i can't find it
specifically but i'm i'm i'm gonna find after this so anyways let's get back to my gnx point
so kensi glomar released gnx right and then uh when was that that was that was
past Taylor Swift's tortured Poets Department for the largest streaming week overall.
In the second week, GNX dropped the number two as Taylor Swift's album reclaimed a top spot, right?
But around that time, she put out a new vinyl.
And I'm trying to see what vinyl was it.
Did Taylor Swift put out different version of vinyl?
So people in the music industry already started to point out this pattern.
But of course, nobody knows if you're not.
If you're outside of the music industry, you won't be at a pinpoint this at all.
Because you're just going to be like, well, she's just releasing new content for her fans.
When the music industry is looking like she's releasing the same album again and again.
When, you know, they always say, don't hate the player, hate the game.
And it was definitely hating on Taylor Swift.
So around that time, there was the, nice.
an extra vinyl release around GNX.
And after this, I'm going to finish because I don't want to go this long,
but when we're breaking down the most popular artists in the world,
we have to make sure we have a fact straight,
which is why, you know, I think people enjoy my Taylor Swift coverage.
So, okay, so Taylor Swift announced a significant vinyl-related release shortly after GNX drop.
Ladies and gentlemen.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip-hop.
Like, what's going on?
November 16th, 24, she posted on X at the Tortured Poets Department.
The anthology would be available on vinyl and CD for the first time at Target starting November 29th.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Like, what's going on?
Now, I know what you're probably saying.
That's technically not exactly on the GNX date.
Ladies and gentlemen, Taylor Swift knows exactly what she's doing.
She was probably giving Kendrick some grace waiting the way that she waited those, what was it, seven days to put out the different version of the Torture Poets Department.
If you don't think that Taylor Swift is surgically and strategically pinpointed the top impactors in the music industry and literally releasing different versions or in a whole, a whole new album, then you are sadly mistaken.
She definitely knows what she's doing.
I don't think it's anything malice.
I don't think it's like intentionally trying to cause harm.
It's just a Michael Jordan effect on her mindset when it comes to the industry, which is why I give her credit.
Her interview with her brother, not brother, my fault, with her boyfriend and his brother,
that literally came across as if you were just talking to like one of the most relatable
human beings on the planet, which is showcase how great Taylor Swift is, not only on.
on a PR aspect, but of course the marketing aspect,
because it's two totally different personas.
Y'all just don't see the other one.
So with that being said, Taylor Swift is going to put
BTA in the whole industry currently,
like Morgan Wallin is doing currently,
because if you don't know,
the man that said the white man, let me say that,
you know, the white man that said the N-Word,
currently has the most popular album in the world.
Some would say it's white privilege.
For me, I'd just say it's just another Tuesday.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Like, what's going on?
So with that out the way, Morgan Wallin is definitely going to be competing with Taylor Swift when she puts out her album in October.
Unless somebody finds some way to top his project in the foreseeable future.
But I don't see that happening.
So Taylor Swift's pattern of multiple vinyl releases.
Oh, yeah, let me get back to that.
Okay, so did Billboard, and I would show y'all, but it's just a bunch of notes on the screen.
It'd be kind of hard to read.
Did Billboard create a rule for this?
create a rule for this. But you know, I keep saying time and time again, if you're in this business
looking at the top impactors of the masses in your specific industry, maybe just maybe you should
maybe you should start taking some of the tips and tricks that they're using to uplift their
sales, right? There's a reason why nobody looks at Tom Brady and Bill Belichick and they think
the flake gate. They think winners champions, right? Sometimes you've got to bend the rules, like they say,
don't hit the player hate the game so anyways back to what i was saying about the billboard uh
having to put the stop to this so billboard implemented rules to address the impact of multiple
vinyl releases and other tactics used to boost chart positions particularly relevant to the
competitive context around kentr klinx isn't it funny how side seven is involved around all the
change in the industry oh wrong button my fault you guys see that's the problem so anyways
These rules from Billboard aim to ensure charts reflect genuine consumer demand and curb manipulation through excessive variance.
I wonder who's putting in out a bunch of variants.
Anyways, let's keep going.
So in March 2025, Billboard introduced stricter chart rules effective February 28, 2025.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, you'd be hard pressed to see any Taylor Swift singles on the charts.
Now, to be fair, Taylor Swift does have a bunch of.
of albums on the charts. So when it comes to this rule, I'm not saying they ultimately took
away her status in the industry. She still has not one, not two, not three, but four albums
in the top 46. So that being said, these rules are definitely put in place to make it more
fair for other artists, but didn't just completely take Taylor Swift's music out of the equation,
which is hard to do. She's one of the most impactful.
forever so with that rule put in March 2025 that went of that was effective February 28th of
this year reported by American songwriter and chart data the key changes include
restrictions restrictions on D2c exclusive versions now who does that a lot fixing pricing minimums
minimum prices was set at seven dollars and ninety nine for CDs and digital albums
albums and $15.99 for vinyl.
Ensuring variants aren't sold at artificially low prices to boost chart numbers.
I wonder who they're talking about.
Anyways, let's keep going.
Digital album redemption.
Digital albums sold via artists or label stores must redeem to count toward charts with high,
with no, with H CAP, uh, capture, y'all know the verification, you know, make sure you're
human to prevent bot driven purchases.
Now, I feel like that's more of a side seven rule, but let's keep on.
False streaming and bulk sales and then of course bulk purchase limits.
Only four physical copies of an album per UPC, per customer, count towards the charts.
But then you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Like, what's going on?
So when I call this the Taylor Swift rule is simply because Taylor Swift supporters will keep buying the same thing if it comes with a different cover.
and Billboard put a stop to that, literally limiting the amount that counts to four per person,
no matter what type of variant it is.
So ultimately, a lot of people came out and was like, Taylor Swift be doing all these numbers
off of the same album with multiple drops, and people were just condemning her for that.
So Billboard came out with a whole new rule.
It's crazy how that works, but, you know, I think Drake, Taylor Swift, the top impactors of the masses,
when they talk about conglomerates coming together to stop their run, I think that's a real thing.
When people talk about the Illuminati, look up the CEO of Warner, UMG, Sony, and that's what you,
that's the Illuminati.
That's it.
Like, this stuff's not rocket science.
That's the Illuminati of the music industry.
So, when it comes to Taylor Swift, she just had a phenomenal impact.
And ultimately, me dive into her project like this, it was not, it was not even supposed to be this long.
But I had to let y'all know that when it comes to this album coming out in October, best believe.
It's going to be another cold summer for other artists because she's going to be running rampant with all type of records broken.
So that may I said, click my link to my bio.
Let me know in one of my social medias.
What do you think about Taylor Swift's album, The Life of a Showgirl?
What do you think about her status in the music industry?
And ultimately, do you think that Taylor Swift could ever be topped as far as success in the music industry?
