Starting point is 00:00:00 In honor of the great Taylor Swift and her re-release, re-recorded, my that ad, version of 1989, which is being re-recorded because if you don't know, she sold her masters to Scooter Braun and Big Machine Records. So now that she has it back as far as her masters, she's re-recording her old songs and putting them out as quote unquote, Taylor's version. Now with that out of the way, I wanted to get into some songs specifically that's rumored to be on the album because of course when the album comes out, I'm going to cover that even further. But for right now, I want to touch on Wildest Dreams in parentheses, Taylor's version, right? Supposedly track number nine off of the 1989 Taylor's version album produced by the one and only Taylor Swift and then produced by Christopher Rowe and Shelback so basically all you need to know about this particular song is that it was re-released and re-record is a re-recording of 2014's
Starting point is 00:01:14 Wildest Dreams yes that's how long Taylor Swift has been around and I believe she was putting out music even before then like to go on a side tangent right and to go on her page which you know is insane because she's literally the second most streamed artists in the world like on planet earth she's second stream of all time well not all time but like right now as far as monthly listeners with that being said she started around 2008 so she started in 2008 still going strong seems like she's as strong as she's ever been in 2023 but that's besides the point let's get back to Wildest Dreams. So this is a re-recording off of 2014's version of Wildest Dreams after the original version became part of a viral TikTok trend in the summer of 2021. And then Taylor Swift explained on
Starting point is 00:02:09 Twitter following the release saying, quote, oh yeah, okay. So right here, it says, quote, Hi, saw you guys, well, I don't know, I don't have a Taylor Swift voice to put on, but so I'm just going to read it verbatim. So she said, quote hi saw you guys got wildest dreams trending on tic talk thought you should have my version and then she also shared her own take on the ticot trend poking fun and how she was planning to release red in parentheses taylor's version before any of 1989 taylor version so what that is telling me is basically taylor swift is happening was no what's happening to take Taylor Swift is what happens to a lot of hip hop musicians where fans love a certain
Starting point is 00:03:02 track or they love a certain rendition of a track get that popular to the point where the artists who made it realizes that it's not on DSP so they can't really monetize off of it so what do they do they go ahead and give them the full version through DSPs because you don't know no matter how much people talk about TikTok and its influence artists would still prefer you to listen to their music on DSPs such as Spotify, Apple music, and Amazon music and things of that nature, right? So with that out the way, that's basically what I wanted to touch on. And I'm going to talk about a plethora of Taylor Swift songs, because tonight is officially Taylor Swift night as the impact that she's had on 2023 along with
Starting point is 00:03:52 biance you know can't forget to beehive we'll go down in the history books is one of the greatest musical runs of all time as far as a singular year right so with that being said uh tonight is definitely a taylor swift night and i'm going to be touching a lot of different tracks that are rumored to be on 1989 before the album actually releases and then i will actually give my coverage of the album when it comes out at midnight so click my link tree Let me know one of my social media's. What do you think about Wildest Dreams, the 2014 version? And with this newer version, which one do you prefer?
