Linktree: https://linktr.ee/AnalyticIn this segment of Notorious Mass Effect, Analytic Dreamz dives into the new collaborative single "Are You Even Real" by Teddy Swims featuring GIVĒON. This... dreamy ballad explores themes of disbelief in love's perfection and emotional vulnerability, with lyrics like "Are you even real / Or did I make you up?" from Swims and "You never do too much / Somehow, you’re still enough for me" by GIVĒON. Teddy Swims shares his inspiration drawn from his relationship with R&B singer Raiche, who is expecting their first child, and commends GIVĒON's talent. GIVĒON notes the natural flow of the song, making it replay-worthy. "Are You Even Real" is part of Swims' forthcoming album, "I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2)," due on January 24, 2025, via Warner Records, which also includes tracks like "Funeral" and "Bad Dreams" with features from Muni Long, Coco Jones, and GloRilla. Swims has made waves with his breakout hit "Lose Control," securing a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2025 Grammy Awards. GIVĒON, known for "Heartbreak Anniversary," has had recent collaborations like "Last Heartbreak Song" with Ayra Starr. The song has seen immediate success, garnering over 1.2 million streams on Spotify on its first day, debuting at #8 on Apple Music's US chart, and receiving substantial views on YouTube. Social media platforms, particularly X, have shown significant engagement, suggesting potential chart success and strong radio play. Starting point is 00:00:04 This man Teddy Swims has tried everything but putting out bad music because as far as this specific track would give you on, I know the year just started, but this has to be one of the better tracks that's going to be released in 2025. Now, even though this man Swims has tried everything but putting out bad music, he still talks about his music. creation process as far as it being therapeutic to him as at the MTV VMAs in 2024 he basically told ABC that writing songs about his experiences has been cathartic and has helped him put his trauma into words as far as this track will give you on I don't think he could have found a better partner as far as putting out this type of heavy soul slash R&B track because I didn't even know they had these type of relationships as far as putting together this type of music like usually you send an open verse and then the feature hops on it does this thing and then that's it or he or she does it
Starting point is 00:01:25 their thing and then that's it with Teddy swims and give you an idea for this track, are you even real, is unreal, pun intended, because I do believe this is going to end up being the anthem, well, one of the anthems for 2025. It's just so much overall relatability, especially when you make this type of track in the love subject, right? Teddy Swims, which I probably already know by now, is very, very popular for his track. lose control. And then he had other tracks such as funeral and bad dreams that also has significant climb as far as on the charts being one of the most play tracks for the year of
Starting point is 00:02:15 2024. Also, when it comes to this album rendition as far as the part one and part two, you couldn't have chose a better single for part two. Because if you don't know, I've tried everything but therapy is technically already out but it's part one so september 18th september 15th 2023 i've tried everything but therapy came out in part one had lose control it had what else they have on it well it had lose control on it which was obviously the most popular track i was trying to look for any any track that was bigger but lose control by far was the bigger track and it actually ended up uh being number one at some point in time
Starting point is 00:02:58 and currently is the fourth most play track in the world and I think it's projected let me see as far as January 18th it's projected to be it's going to slide one slot as far as the projections are saying when it comes to according to billboard it's projected to slide to the fifth so going from the fourth most play track on an entire planet to the fifth like it's not much of a big drop-off
Starting point is 00:03:23 when you point out the fact this track has been on the charts for 72 weeks. Now, ladies and gentlemen, give me one second. We're going to do 72 weeks, right? So as far as consumption, people have been playing lose control for 12,000 hours, 12,096 hours. This track has been on the charts in the top five, so 12,096 hours.
Starting point is 00:04:04 504 days. Now, there's only 7,000. days in the week so when you start to really break it down lose control is really one of the biggest hits we've had in the past two to three years because this track has been going insane there's only 365 days in the year so how in the world is this track so immensely popular to this day no dante wilder so anyways walled that out the way his second most popular track currently as bad dreams that's the 65th most played track in the world been under charts for about five weeks and i think this is the most genius move you can have as far as for part two starting off part two with a single like this as far as are you even real featuring give yarn is the perfect move i love
Starting point is 00:04:57 what he's doing to the rollout which if you don't know is the rollout to part two which already said but this particular part two is set to come out January 24th, 2025. But if you realize, even if you have Spotify as far as a DSP, it has a countdown. So there's a countdown right now. It's about 13 days left. You can pre-order and pre-save this album. So it's already up to be pre-ordered, pre-saved. This is under Warner. So obviously he has a major machine behind him. And this is just an ultimate reflection of how his music process is because going from part one to part two and seemingly not skipping a beat. I mean, this man is putting out some phenomenal music right now. This track with Givion, I know it's early.
Starting point is 00:05:50 There's only one month into 2025. This can end up being one of the best songs of 2025. And I see why he wanted to kick off the year with this track because this is straight phenomenal. Now with that being said, let's get into Givion. Now, when it comes to Givion, we already know that this man has been giving us not as much as we're used to, right? His last album was in 2022. So now when you pop up on a single for Teddy Swims who had one of the biggest tracks of last year in just the past two years in general, and you're known for making tracks like Heartbreak Anniversary, like I Want You, for me personally,
Starting point is 00:06:33 you know me as a Drake stand I love the I think of Chicago freestyle with Drake I think when Drake can give you I get together I think is beyond they just compliment each other so much so Chicago freestyle in the in the Bible both of those collabs was heavenly like just top tier quality music making for the simple fact you know Drake has a limited vocal range right Givion obviously does not so you know those two pairing up make all the sense in the world but teddy swims on the other hand he does have vocal range so now it's more of a pure r&b collab with teddy swims and givion and when the pureness comes into effect with these talented musicians you get a track like are you even real that's that was streamed 1.2 million
Starting point is 00:07:26 times on his first day and it's projected it's projected to be in the top 10 as far as in the future so we don't know where it's actually going to end up but this is set up to be a bona fide hit and it just came out so that being said click my link to your in my bio let me know what let me know one of my social media's what do you think about teddy swims and give me on its track are you even real and after listening to the track what is your favorite part about Teddy Swim's entire discography.
