So Tim's has put out a new track titled Me and You.
And let me tell you something.
I believe that an artist like Tim's should receive more public praise than she actually gets.
Because if you don't know, wait for you, which was Future's most successful song on I Never Liked You.
only happened because Drake cleared the feature for Future to use Tim's track higher.
So higher was a track that came out that same year as Wait for You.
Future just wanted to use it as a sample simply because that track was doing phenomenal on the charts.
And Future Price all that for some reason wanted to use the sample.
Tim didn't want to clear it.
Drake came in, attached his name to the track.
And now the feature is magically cleared.
Shout out to the goat.
But basically, I say all that to say.
Tim's sauce has been used by a plethora of high-profile artists.
So now I'm glad to see that she's now using her own clout and music-making capabilities to, well, basically for herself.
Because everybody knows the wait for you track back, well, last year was the song of the summer.
So with that being said, with this new track solely by her, just.
like higher was when that was successful.
Me and You is basically back to her Afrobeat style mixed with a little bit of pop, which has basically
been Tim's sound.
And for a lot of people who don't know, Tim's also lends a hand to other artists when it comes
to writing.
So not only is she sampled on some of people's greatest hits of last year, like Future, but
she also co-wrote Rihanna's Lift Me Up and was nominated for Academy Award for it.
So with that being said, Tim's is one of the most talented artists in the industry,
but is more under the radar simply for the fact that a lot of people don't really give credence
to people who are behind the scenes making things run smoothly, right?
Everybody loves the person who's in front of the camera, but behind the camera could be making just as much, if not more impact than the person in front of it, which a lot of people don't even try to even acknowledge because I don't think they recognize or even can understand the amount of work it takes to make certain artists perform well or even have a great hit, you know.
It's very Kendrick Lamar-esque the way that Tim's goes behind the scenes and helps out people creatively.
Let me just put it like that.
So with that being said, Tim's is preparing to release her studio album in coming months.
And her single in 2020 Free Mind, of course, is the longest running number one song by lead woman artists on the Billboard R&B slash hip-hop airplay charts.
and the song higher from her fourth LP was R IAA-Certified Gold on October 4th.
And with that being said, basically I threw all those numbers at you for a reason
because Tim's is not to be messed with and she is, in fact, one of the most, one of the more
talented artists in the music industry.
And I feel like a lot more, I mean a lot more respect has to be put on her name because
I just don't see enough of it.
So with that being said, click my link tree in my bio.
Let me know in one of my social media is.
