Getting into the track Sweather Weather, it's apparent that finding these individuals is a little difficult.
And why do I say that?
For the simple fact that I went on to the projections, well, I went on to look at the projections,
especially for October 5th.
And it's set to be the 31st most played track in the world.
But as far as the actual artist, the neighborhood, is a little hard to locate them.
And that's why I'm going to leave it at because the track sweater weather having this amount of resurgence on the charts.
Because apparently the track was released March 2013.
Now, of course, with me having a very difficult time looking up the details of this,
just take all of this with a grain of salt but i'm pretty sure this is the right band that i'm talking
about because with this track being released in 2013 you already know that those cavemen
did not have the right internet back then to put up the accurate information so as far as this
track being in the alternative slash indie with pop pop and rock elements you'll have to
to bear with me because I couldn't get it from the horse's mouth. I had to do other stuff to get
the actual details surrounding this track. But if you're not familiar with the neighborhood,
just know that they are, well, they formed back in 2011 in Newbury Park, California. And there's
Jesse, Zachary, Jeremy, and Brandon as far as Jesse being the lead vocalist, Zachary being
the guitar keyboards and backing vocals Jeremy being the bass guitar keyboards and backing vocals
and then Brandon with on the drums and then of course it's old discography has a lot of other
branches that they start to get into as far as the alternative rock pop R&B and hip hop so
sweater weather how in the world did this become popular when it was released back in 2013 you are
know if you've been listening to the podcast for a while you already know what I'm
about to say was the pivotal play in the resurgence of this track on the charts
TikTok ladies and gentlemen once again TikTok is back again to say well to put a claim to
why it's probably one of the best marketing tools for an independent artist ever
one of the best marketing tools for an independent
artists of all time. So in testament to that, this song went viral back in 2020, even though it's
slated in 2024, October 5th to be the 31st most played track in the world. It also went viral
back in 2020 when the pandemic was going on as bisexual influencers like Nessa,
Barrett and James Wright used it in their coming out videos solidifying the song status as a
bisexual anthem now don't kill the messenger I'm just giving the message right the LGBTQ community
really gravitated towards this song and the overall
the overall way that it resonated with that particular community made it to wear over
400,000 over 400,000 TikTok videos used the track sweater weather when many of them were coming out or talking about the bisexual pride uh well talking about their bisexual pride so yeah as far as it being a testament to that i know i spoke on the artist not too long ago gg Perez and she also was a part of the LGBTQIA plus community
community as with her involvement she was yeah part of a queer community which I even had to
look that up to make sure it wasn't slurbed I think the way that I'm using it is more of a
professional way of using it because I'm like hopefully they don't think I'm calling them the
the hardy are you know what I'm saying like like that would be insane that would be an insane
first impression anyways all right um yeah so sweater weather has been associated with the bisexual
community and the overall band that made the track i mean it was formed in 2011 so lord only knows what
they're doing right now as going on their discography hopefully this is the right platform that i'm
looking at oh not platform or the the right profile that i'm looking at because i see sweater weather
so i'm like okay this is the right artist but then i go to the albums and the last album was released in
2020 and then the last single was released in 2021 i mean tictox influence on a marketing strategy
for specific artists it's outlasting their output and music so i don't even know what to call it like
i don't even know what they're going to do next they're probably just looking at this having
the researches on the charts and like man sure wish we still made music right they're just looking
at it like hi y'all i guess uh i guess it's cool like it's not it don't seem like they really care
that much to come back to the to the fray and put out new music as it went viral as i've seen i mean
as far as what i've seen it went viral two specific times one in 2020 and then now back uh now it's
going viral again in 2024 so obviously this song means more to a lot of people and it's not just about
love like a lot of people say and it's more of a a safe and intimate space for a specific community and you know them
just showing support for one another, right?
And it going viral in 2020,
and then once again in 2024,
just showcases how the song has had lasting influence,
not only on music lovers,
but more specifically,
the LGBTQIA plus community.
So with that being said,
click my link to your in my bio,
let me know in one of my social medias.
What do you think about the neighborhood,
more specifically,
not putting out any music since like,
2021. And also, if you are part of the community, what, what resonated with you the most when it comes
to sweater weather?
